I don't know what your attitude is right now.
What your attitude is right now.
This is great.
Congratulations.
Thanks, man.
It's platforms like this where I get to show off the music
and talk about sort of my career move that are really helpful
and just getting people to listen to the record.
You didn't work with a producer or anything like that?
You listen to the record, but it might be sort of hard to believe,
but it was just me plugged in.
I actually used, I don't know if you guys know the program Garage Band.
Yeah, obviously.
Yeah.
Played all the instruments, sang all the songs, wrote all the songs.
It's all me.
Right.
And the real me, I guess.
So this is a departure from the comedics, from the comedy world.
Music was always my first love,
and I sort of kind of imagined that that would be where I would end up
is like doing music professionally, but, you know.
I guess you are.
I mean, here you are.
You got an album out and videos and stuff, and what else?
What else?
Are there demos for these songs out there that you would put out one day,
or are these sort of the, I mean.
The songs are pretty close to how I imagine them.
I feel, I'm sorry.
I feel like there's something happening here.
I can't tell if you're making fun of me in some way or another.
Like, is this charting on Billboard?
I don't look at stuff like charts and Billboard.
Well, let's find out, Matt.
Can you look up, like, where are this charted?
Matt, I actually don't want to know about that.
Why would you do this to somebody?
Well, I know a part.
Listen, maybe you're going to be in the top 20 or something.
Top 30, maybe.
Sports car, 23.
Oh, not blue car.
I mean, I'm not on that list either.
You know, I put out a record last year, so it's not like.
I didn't ask you to bring up the list.
I didn't say that I was on the list, so I don't know what your attitude is
right now.
When you're performing it, like, there's a kind of dour energy throughout,
like, especially on something like Blue Car, which is supposed to be this fun.
It's supposed to be a fun, like, upbeat Beach Boys song,
and you kind of mumble through it, and it feels very dead and feels very dour.
I could try it again if you, but.
You're not smiling, and you don't seem to be having fun with it.
It's a fair critique, and, you know, if I start performing this stuff a little
more,
maybe I will smile a little more.
I apologize, you know.
Don't apologize.
I'm just trying to get to this core of, like, what this is.
Sorry about that.
I don't think there's.
Did you have ambitions bigger than what ended up on the record,
like, in terms of the quality of it and the production elements?
Because it's quite contained.
Yeah, I mean, I'm proud of what I've made, but certainly, yeah.
I mean, I actually just got an electric bass.
Really?
So there's no electric bass on the real me,
but I hope in the next one I'll add some of that, too.
I don't know if I have more to ask about this.
I think I've asked all the questions I have about the record.
Okay.
Okay.
