ContraPoints, Brent Weinbach (Episode 343)

Good morning, everybody.
Good afternoon, good evening.
Wherever you are, this is a global show.
There are no country restrictions that we're aware of.
So we have people calling in, listening in, watching us all around the world.
But here in Glendale, it is the morning.
It is June 5th.
This is a very groundbreaking element of our show as we provide the time and
the weather,
which proves it's a live show.
In fact, I could give you a live update on what's happening right now to prove
that we're live.
Any ideas?
You've got to hold up today's newspaper.
That would just indicate that we're doing it today, but not actually live.
Hold up your watch.
My watch.
I'm going to pull up CNN for some...
Yeah, breaking news.
Let's see if there's any...
Well, these...
Let's see.
I could go to a Current Time...
Do we have that phone thing?
I could go to Time.gov.
Go to CurrentTime.com.
Right now.
And then, Matt, you can put it on the screen as I continue to introduce the
show.
Thank you.
We are joined in the studio by one of the great innovators.
Oh, there it is.
This is the official time, folks.
It is 10.03.
Hey, maybe this could just be the show.
People could tune into this.
10 seconds to 10.04.
Folks, we are the number one authority in what time it is at the moment you're
watching.
Boy, look at those time zones, folks.
That's so beautiful.
I never thought about that central time zone taking up so much real estate on
the country.
It's showtime!
It's time to talk about Donald Jardrum.
What?
Anyways, DJ Doug Pound.
Oh, good.
Wait a second.
Good horning.
I want to see some honking of horns and stuff, you know?
Sure.
Everyone does.
DJ Doug Pound brought in some cold brew coffee today, folks.
He brewed it.
Thanks to Matt, Captain Carlin.
We had an in-person meeting on Tuesday.
A lot of coffee talk.
Now we're drinking cold brew coffee with some Chobani creamer.
And it's getting me high as a kite.
I'm like, Elon.
Smoke anything.
Does anybody want coffee?
Who wants coffee?
I just made a fresh pot of coffee.
Cut, cut, cut, cut, cut.
High on ketamine.
What do you do with ketamine?
Are you doing ketamine now?
I'm doing ketamine, yes.
I am doing ketamine for my mental health.
I'm addicted to it.
How much do you do?
I smoked it this morning.
Smoke it?
Yeah, I think so.
You were going to smoke it.
Is that what you do?
You put it in a cigar?
I've made a blunt with my ketamine.
If you want a good cigar, do you smoke cigars?
You roll it into a cigar, huh?
Yeah.
And Vic Berger is here today.
Vic Berger is selling me the ketamine.
No, I'm not doing that.
I would not do that.
Your dad's watching.
My mom is watching, too.
What's up, everybody?
By the way, I bought that ketamine bag from you, and I had it tested.
It was angel dust.
I always mix those two.
It freaked me out.
I nearly jumped off the roof of my house.
That's the PCP?
Yeah, it fucked me up.
I still feel it.
It's still in my butt.
It was last night, about 3 in the morning.
I was smoking that angel dust.
Fucked up.
I couldn't sleep.
What's the hardest drug you've ever done?
Is that it?
What is that?
When angels deserve to die.
What is that?
That's System of a Down.
Oh, they were big angel dust guys.
Yeah.
I don't know.
What's the hardest drug I've ever done?
Yeah, what's the hardest drug that you regret doing?
Well, I haven't done, I really have, I mean, honestly, I haven't done any real
hard drugs.
I've done LSD.
You did LSD?
Yeah, a bunch of times.
Did you, high school.
Would you recommend it?
No, I'm not going, I'm not recommending nothing.
Is it better, is it better than mushrooms?
No, no, I think I would prefer.
What's going on?
We're all on ketamine now.
Whatever.
This thing that Elon does when he's on ketamine, he's like, nah, what's going
on with his body?
It's like shitting his pants.
Wait, how do you know he's doing that?
What do you mean?
Hey, cutie.
When is he doing that?
Well, there's a video of him in the White House, in the Oval Office going like,
nah.
Well, he's feeling good.
He's talking about the golden ceiling that they just fixed up.
He's almost like feeling his body, like he's on ecstasy or something.
I've never done ecstasy, I've never done cocaine, I've never done heroin.
DJ Vic Berger is here as well.
Yeah, watch this.
See if we can get to the point where he does that.
Yeah, just watch him.
I mean, all of it.
Just look at him.
Very unresolved.
That's not a natural arm crossing.
He's not crossing the arms, right?
Oh, fuck.
Here it comes.
His palms are sweaty.
Yeah, but that's not the moment.
It does look really beat up, though.
What's that, the ketamine box?
He got a key to the city.
Trump gave him a key to the city.
He got a key to the White House.
It was really funny.
I give this to all the special people that come in here, I give it to the boys.
I give it to that kid who wanted to be a sheriff.
Remember that kid that wanted to be a sheriff with the brain cancer?
Did he get that t-shirt at Venice Beach, you know, on the boardwalk there?
The Doge Father.
There's that.
There's the jaw.
There's some iron roller.
Yeah, let's see.
They found the new golden ceiling up there.
Did you really put a bunch of gold all over there?
Yeah, it's everywhere.
There's another place where he does that.
Yeah, it just keeps going.
It keeps going a little bit.
Look at him steepling.
I'm sorry, folks.
We didn't plan on talking about this.
Anyways, we have a lot to get to.
I don't want to get bagged down in this.
Comedy sucks.
Yeah, I'm going to be in New York next week.
So if you see me in Times Square, please come and say hi.
Got the premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival for Fior de Latte.
I haven't seen it.
I don't know anything about it.
At the premiere, no less.
But I was, you're going to be excited because, you're going to get excited
because I was thinking about what I'm going to wear to the premiere.
By the way, Brent Weinbach is here.
I keep looking at him.
Yeah, what's going on?
At the premiere, Noah.
Hi, thank you.
Brent Weinbach.
We've got a piano set up for you.
And those jazz chords.
I can write a jazz song.
Every morning.
Is keto, when people say they're on the keto diet, is that they're just doing
ketamine?
Is that what that is?
That's right.
I just was thinking about that when you were talking about it.
I think you should play, can I just do a jazz reverb, please?
I'm on ketamine.
When I wake up in the morning, I take a hit.
And I fill my underwear with shit.
I'm spacing out in the White House.
Trying to launch a rocket ship.
My name is Musk.
I smell like rust.
Anyways, thank you.
My name is Musk.
That's a good song.
My name is Musk.
My name is Musk.
I smell like musk.
My name is musk.
That's a good song.
Let's do a jazz album as quick as we can after we wrap today.
We'll make a whole album.
This is awesome.
And every track is about Elon Musk.
Oh.
All right.
Maybe half the tracks, I guess.
Well, Tim's done albums about guys before.
Really?
Which guys?
Herman Cain.
Cain.
Trump.
And Donald Trump.
Oh, you did a whole album about Trump?
Yeah.
Oh, great.
I named my son X.
I named my son X.
This is awesome.
It's also the name of my website.
This is awesome.
I named my son after a website that I bought so long ago.
Like, yeah.
That's the name of my son.
My name is X.
His name is X.
His name is X.
He punched me in the eye.
We're losing audience.
Yeah, sorry.
Yeah, Matt's just sent me a note.
He says, we're dropping numbers.
I haven't been here since you had this window installed here.
Yeah.
This is nice.
You get this nice view.
Beautiful view.
It's a great view.
It's a great view.
Yeah.
I was about to just say, I'm going to, I've picked an outfit for my red carpet
premiere.
And Matt, I don't know if we want to, maybe we should, this is a tease.
I don't think we should show the picture.
We should wait for Getty Images.
Yeah.
You want to get in the papers.
At the premiere, no matter.
So you'll see, I'm doing an homage, just like Timothee Chalamet did at a lot of
premieres
for the Bob Dylan movie.
Are you going to wear a blouse?
No, I'm going to wear, I'm going to be doing an homage to somebody that I saw a
picture
of.
I said, that's a good idea.
Because I don't want to put on a suit just to put on a suit.
I want to do, have fun with it.
Bjork.
No guessing at this time, please.
No guessing.
Guys, Jeremy Renner.
Folks, the show is going to be packed today.
Well, that's not a good example.
I have so many great ideas.
Show him at a premiere wearing like a Dylan look.
I thought you were doing Shelby.
No.
I guess.
Lip wing ideas.
ContraPoints is going to be joining us in a few minutes.
Alex Ross Perry will be calling in later to talk about the Pavements movie.
Obviously, we want to make this very clear.
Brent is here only to talk about his new YouTube stand-up special.
And if you're looking for stand-up specials, this is the one.
And popular culture.
And you can watch that on YouTube.
Thank you, Mark.
Nice one.
Where does he get his videos from?
Popular culture.
Popular culture.
I cover all the hot pop culture.
Pop culture topics.
Co-produced by me in a way, in a lot of ways.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Co-produced by Absolutely Productions.
We make the good stand-up specials.
So, I mean, come on.
What a better endorsement, right?
Yeah.
No, it's very funny.
You're obviously a very funny guy.
Very talented.
Thank you.
You're a big fan of the show.
And if you don't know, just, if you're not watching this live, then don't watch
the, stop watching
this and watch the special and then come back.
And then, you know.
Then you'll have a little context.
Yeah, context.
Exactly.
Speaking of Mark, Marin, let's just salute the podfather here.
And the podfather has announced yesterday he's wrapping things up.
WTF is coming to an end.
Let's do a little, why don't we do a little drop tribute to the man himself.
WTF is coming to an end.
Okay.
I gotta find that man.
Boy, look at that.
They clammed up.
The drop boys have flopped.
Now they're the flop boys.
Hey, don't freak out.
Don't freak out.
Don't freak out.
We had a great run.
I'm not a huge fan.
How's that thing on your neck?
Is your back all right?
We're burnt out.
How's your thing?
How's your thing?
How's your thing?
All right?
Kid, all right?
It's okay for things to end.
It doesn't matter.
We're wrapping things up.
Fuck that.
We're wrapping things up.
Primordial monster.
Another, another, another.
Relax.
This guy could push the envelope.
I mean, it's okay to throw a dish away.
Fucking hilarious.
Where are you at?
Oof, madame.
I don't need this shit.
All right.
We're tired.
We're burnt out.
We want to salute Mark on his wonderful, huge, I think, legendary run.
It's got to be some kind of record.
I asked him if he liked Office Hours, and he goes, I'm not a huge fan.
He did the show.
I don't know if we should be doing this tribute.
You know what I mean?
No, we love you, Mark.
Thank you, and congratulations.
I think that's the best way to put it.
Relax.
Wish you the best.
Fuck them.
Now he's going to be the fourth member of Office Hours, he said.
He said he wants to come back in.
He should come in as a producer role.
Maybe Worm can take a break.
Not nice.
How's your toe?
I'm your captain.
Matt, should we do City of the Day to keep on schedule?
Oh, that's a great idea.
I've got to get Aaron off my screen here.
Oh, boy, oh, boy, oh, boy.
I got worms.
The City of the Day.
City of the Day.
City of the Day.
Ain't much more to say.
Let's all wait.
City of the Day.
This City of the Day is sponsored by Horse Front Riding.
We all love horses, but horseback riding sucks ass.
With all the bumpity, bumpity, bumpity crap, good luck not having a headache
afterwards.
It's time to end the nonsense and get in on horse front riding.
The hottest new horse sport that's barnstorming the nation.
Riding on the front of a horse is the superior way to ride.
With the horse eye view, you can see with splendor.
Plus, the front-facing man saddle feels great on the crotch.
No more smashed balls.
And dangling legs are just fun.
I don't care who you are.
I do
