Of course, Brian Wilson passing away yesterday and we love him very much.
Allegedly.
He's like Jim Morrison and Elvis. You think that's how it's going to go down?
I love these people who think Brian Wilson's dead. Give me a break, man.
Can I give him three honks real quick?
Uh-huh. Oh, are we sure about this?
Wow.
I'm jealous of that horn.
I've noticed that. Whoa, I like that a lot.
All these people are sending me the quote, the great interviewer. They asked
Brian,
like, have you seen any funny movies lately? You know this one?
No.
Oh.
What did he see?
The quote is, have you seen any good movies lately? And Brian says,
well, I've only seen one in the last couple of years.
Oh, yeah.
It's called Norbit by Eddie Murphy.
And then they say, how did you like it? Fantastic movie. Very funny.
Then they say, what's your favorite movie? Norbit.
I saw Norbit in theaters, I believe, opening weekend.
Yeah.
Yeah.
That was Brian Wilson's recommendation.
Yeah.
I remember buddy Brian liked it. I had to show up.
Paul McCartney had, I thought, I mean, Paul's always going to come out when the
old timers go,
his friends. These are his friends.
Oh.
Good night.
Good night.
And, but he couldn't, he couldn't, he's just such a clown. He can't be serious
for one second here.
At the end, he says, how will we continue without Brian Wilson? God only knows.
I can play bass.
I'm actually quite good on bass.
Well, first of all, before Pet Sounds, the idea of an album wasn't that much of
a thing. Anyway,
you'd have these singles and singles were the king. And the singles alone, pre-Pet
Sounds, you just can't
believe it. Surfing USA, California girls, help me Rhonda, I get around, be
true to your school.
I mean, it goes boom, boom, boom, boom, boom. It goes on and on and on and on.
In my room. I'm not looking at a list. You can see, these are just off the top
of my head.
Good vibrations.
That was after Pet Sounds.
Yeah, it was right after Pet Sounds.
Sorry.
That John Lennon tells about Brian Wilson. In the 70s, he came up, they were at
the Grammys,
and John Lennon was sitting at some table and Brian Wilson comes up, "Oh, John,
man,
it's great to meet you, man. You're the genius. You're the greatest. Thank you
so much for
everything. It's so good to meet you. Brian, thanks so much. Good for you." And
he leaves and
the guy says, "You've never met Brian Wilson?" He's like, "I've met him 50
times. He says that every
time." I get around, I get around, I get around, I get around, I'm a record man,
I'm a record man, back to me. I get around, round, round, round, round. That's
great. You can keep going forever.
