TIM'S BACK! w/ Andy Boay (Ep 363)

I love L.A.
I like having fun.
I like to laugh.
I like to meet people who can make me laugh.
I like having fun.
Yes, I like to laugh.
I like having fun to meet people.
Welcome to the big show.
Welcome to the big show.
It's Office Hours Live.
I'm live.
Calling in.
Oh, dog, you don't have to laugh at this silly business.
There's nothing funny about it.
Sad, really.
I've gone for prop humor to try to entertain you.
But I shall drop the act right now and come to you.
Hello.
I like the monocle.
Thank you.
It's me.
I'm coming to you back on Office Hours, still on the road,
and still working in guess what state, shall we?
Welcome to the show, Tim.
We'll find out throughout the show.
Guess what state?
What state of mind?
No, what state of the union am I in?
Well, I know.
Yeah, I know.
I know you do.
Do you hold off on talking about that?
I was going to open it up to the callers and see how many people are paying
attention to my life.
I'm sure many are.
Welcome.
I've been very straightforward about where I am.
Excuse me?
Welcome.
I'm in my trailer.
We're on a break from the movie I'm shooting.
And I thought we would be shooting nights for all the Fridays of the month.
And I said, I think we're clear for me to do office hours.
And then I get the schedule this week.
And it's normal daytime hours for the day.
And I said to the, I said the production in a, and let me tell you, Vic, I was
very clear with them.
I said, I have responsibilities at one o'clock Eastern.
Well, that gives away.
We can eliminate a lot of the States.
We have a lot of responsibilities.
I have a responsibility to my audience and to my friends, Vic and Doug.
And we're going to have to work around that schedule
to make sure that I can be live on the air at one o'clock.
And you know what they said?
Yes, sir.
What'd you mean?
They said, yes, sir.
Anything for you.
You're the main star is what I heard.
I am the number one, as they say, number one on the call sheet, Doug.
I don't think so, Tim.
Ah.
Yes, sir.
Yes, sir.
Anyway, I lose literally, you wouldn't believe this.
Doug, I was literally acting my ass off five minutes ago.
And we said, did we get it?
They said, we got it.
All right, everybody.
Release Tim to his trailer.
He's got a podcast to do.
How many takes did you do?
Well, I'm not for the five minutes ago one.
Three takes.
And were you screaming your head?
Were you a hothead?
Are you a hothead in this movie?
No.
Honestly, I don't want to give too much away, but I'm quite the opposite.
I'm playing a man with severe mental disabilities.
Oh, so type some of the great ideas.
I don't know what the right word for it is these days, Vic, but I don't know if
you've
seen that movie, I Am Sam with Sean Penn.
Yes.
Or the show, actually, you know what it is?
You're doing a Gilbert Grape kind of thing?
No, even worse.
It's a, do you know the show that Ricky Gervais made a few years ago?
It's, it's the American, it's, you know how they, you know, you know how they
rebooted
The Office in America?
They're doing that with that Ricky Gervais show about the, where does he get
his ideas
from?
What's the name of that show?
Derek?
Oh, yeah.
Uh-huh.
Right.
Yeah.
I'm, it's Derek.
It's Derek for the, for, for Peacock.
Can you believe that?
I got cast as, what's that?
Is that the one with like the curly hair wig he's got?
Is that the one?
No, that's, he did that as a joke on that show, Extras.
On Extras, yes.
He paid like a dullard and then, and he was like, well, maybe I'll do it for
real.
And Stephen Merchant exits the building.
Yeah, he's like, bye-bye.
Good luck.
Gotta go.
Yeah.
I have other opportunities.
Unfortunately, scheduling conflicts prohibit me from getting involved with
Derek.
Well, you should watch that Rosie O'Donnell's classic, My Other Sister, where
she-
That's a, that's a classic too.
That's a good one.
Anyways, let me start the show by introducing-
There he is.
There he is.
Thanks, Ricky.
Here's me.
This is my first scene I shot today.
Can I have some chocolate chip cookie?
Where does he get his ideas from?
He goes, can I have some chocolate chip cookie?
And then, you know what they said?
They said, we got that.
Moving on.
Oy, oy, oy.
Can we hear a little your voice though from the movie?
How does that, how does yours sound?
Oh, I'm just doing my, I'm, I'm just talking like myself.
Oh, I thought you were playing a special man.
That's what I was just doing.
Oh, oh, that's what you're doing in the, in the movie?
Yeah.
Oh, I didn't know that.
That's not hard.
Oh, Vic is not paying attention.
I'm not paying attention.
I was looking for a Life Goes On theme song.
Now we got an exciting moment in the show since we're here.
Finally found it.
All right, listen, let me welcome, what's on the show today?
We've got, first of all, the tremendously talented DJ Doug Pound.
Good horning.
Right.
Right.
And Victor Berger the fourth.
What's up, everybody?
Thank you.
Sitting in for captain is a lieutenant Carson.
Captain Carlin, no longer part of the show.
He's gone.
He's gone, dude.
He's gone.
Almost like the way, I don't know if you've been following PBD, but I have not,
I actually
haven't watched it very much, but the past couple of ones I've watched, no Adam.
So maybe you guys can figure out what the hell's going on with Adam.
He's gone.
He's been.
Like a long time, like weeks?
Absent.
I can't.
I don't know.
Maybe I'm wrong.
Maybe you guys could do a quick look at PBD.
Yeah.
Let's see if he's there.
Probably not.
What the hell's going on with Adam?
I know Vinny was there the other day, but, and Tom, of course, holding down the
fort.
Oh, yeah.
He's steady.
Steady.
He's, I like, R.M.
Brown is like, he's like their, their uncle or he's like the granddad.
Brings them back together.
Yeah.
He's like, he's so old.
R.M.
Brown's really killing me.
Like he does.
He found this clip of a Glenn Greenwald.
Have you seen that?
Where he goes, can I ask you a question, please?
It's a great drop.
Can I ask you a question, please?
Yeah.
He's doing better drop.
He's doing very good drop work.
I'm not going to say better than you guys, but it's very impressive.
Do you guys want me to turn this light off?
Cause watch this.
Hmm.
I think it was good where it was, but it's, it's very bright.
It's not too bad.
It's face.
I mean, your, your, your, your skin tone looks better here.
Yeah.
It's also kind of bright.
It's very bright.
Anyways, we have a musical guest today.
Unbelievably.
You're not going to believe this.
Everybody.
I hope everyone's sitting down.
I know Doug and Vic are, but everybody listening.
God, please do yourself a favor.
Sit down because we've got Andy Bowie.
Now I'm getting excited.
People are thrilled.
People are thrilled.
Um, a couple of announcements to make.
How, how, how, how.
Stop it.
Calm down.
Oh, say, la, say, la, say, la, say, la, say, la, say, la, say, la, say, la, is
a nonprofit organization that Doug, I believe, are you doing something for that?
Huh?
There's a, there's a benefit show coming up Monday, December 8th at the Teragram
ballroom, uh, downtown LA.
Yeah, they're, um, they asked, uh, they asked two wet crew to do something.
Whoa.
Yeah.
What'd you say?
No.
Uh, we said yes.
And we have to figure out what we're going to do, but yeah.
Okay.
Well, uh, they just announced it.
I think they're announcing it today.
Uh, it's Monday, December 8th.
The list is terrific.
You've got all kinds of celebrities doing it, or not celebrities, unless you
consider, you know, um, Brent Weinbach a celebrity.
I don't.
I mean, they could have, I mean, he's, he's, he's a celeb.
Of course he is.
He's a major talent in the comedy world.
Right.
I suppose.
Anyways, it's a great, it looks like a great night.
That's enough.
I'm going to say about that for Christ's sake.
That's it.
Uh, just about that.
It's about the, I'm playing, I'm doing the festival and that's.
What is it called again?
Well, it's S E L A H is a nonprofit, uh, group.
And I forget what they, I don't know.
I don't even know what they do.
It was something to do with probably immigrants and all the, it's, oh, it's a
homeless thing.
I want to see some hawks.
Oh, okay.
We need to help the homeless, Vic.
It's not something like turning point fundraisers.
I don't think so.
Okay.
We'll put a link in the description.
Thank you.
And also I, I want people to sign this letter because nothing was more
important to me the past week than that incredible world series.
I don't know if you guys ended up watching any of it.
Have you ever seen anything like that, Vic?
No, I have not.
There was a, what, 11 innings last game, something like that?
I mean, Doug, you were texting, really bothering.
Your texts were really bothering me.
I was watching.
I watched the game.
I know, but that was the first game I saw the whole season.
What was upsetting about that with Doug?
Well, I'll tell you what it was.
First of all, I'm in some deep text chats for these games.
I mean, I'm almost on every pitch texting certain people.
They're texting me back.
We're getting into the weeds of the game.
Very, very close personal stuff.
And then Doug comes out of nowhere with this comment about Andy Pahez running
into Quique Hernandez and has the wrong take on the whole thing.
I had a great take.
Oh, yes.
No, because you know what happened?
You said that he just left him in the dust there.
The way that they shot it, he caught, he dunked on the guy, he stole the ball,
and then the guy's laying there defeated face down like he died.
And the guy with the ball runs away smiling.
A second later, Pahez comes right back to him and puts his hand out like a good
Samaritan does.
They didn't show that on the video.
Okay, fair enough, fair enough.
It was hilarious.
It was like he caught the ball, the other guy just died, and he's laying there
dead.
Where do you rank the most exciting moments of that game?
Is it that moment?
Is it the Rojas home run to tie the game in the ninth?
That was exciting.
Is it the play at the home plate?
The game had like 19 scream-your-head-off moments, for me at least.
My favorite part was when the guy scratched his crotch in the third.
I guess that would be yours.
But the guy, Tim, so they got that close home run, right?
And it's like real close at the home plate.
Why didn't the coach do like a thing to bring it back and have it, what do you
call it, re-judged?
I don't know.
Replay?
Well, they did.
No, I don't think they did.
I think they just kept rolling with it.
No, no.
Oh, they did?
They did.
Oh, they must have went to commercial.
In fact, they, it was very, I mean, it was a matter of, I think, something like
a quarter of an inch from being safe versus out.
And that would have been the ball game.
That would have been the Blue Jays win the World Series.
I heard that somebody modified the bat so it would break on that last shot.
And there's a big investigation in the Louisville Slugger that they're in cahoots
with the Dodgers.
I've heard every, I've heard every theory under the sun.
Everyone thinks, people are like, you can, it's so easy to rig baseball games.
What?
Give me a break.
I mean, how are you going to rig that catch out there in center field?
How are you going to rig Will Smith hitting that go ahead home run?
Anyways, I don't want to go on and on about it, but I was here in my undisclosed
state with the guys who make the movie, who made that movie Ephus that we've
talked about, which is a great, great baseball movie.
And it was a black.
All right.
Thank you.
Trying to speak here.
Sorry.
It was a drop that you told me to get.
What was it?
Love your nipples.
Love your nipples.
Well, that was, yeah, that was a little out of context, but that was my boy, Quique
Hernandez there in the.
This thing where they go into the locker room and they pour beer all over each
other and like, it's, it's very homoerotic.
Did you see the one with the Blue Jays, like the dad and the son, and they both
opened champagne bottles, but they're like the little ones.
Wait, did they open, they opened champagne bottles after they
