Norm Hosting High Stakes Poker S7E4

Previously on High Stakes Poker...
Vanessa and Doyle got their stacks in and chopped it up.
I had to call. I call.
I guess I walked in. I had a good time.
You did.
There's kind of a small pot going on.
I said, "Oh."
Robert Croak went broke.
I'm all in.
Call.
Once or twice.
Once. I got it straight.
All right, gentlemen. Bye, guys.
And Andrew Roble took the hot seat.
I'm coming for that WPT money, kid.
It's a pretty big poker gun.
Just costed herself $40,000.
Just hoping you were bluffing.
And if you got what it takes, you can play High Stakes.
I'm all in.
These ladies ain't ladies unless they're your ladies.
If you're hanging on a roster, that's what it takes.
And if you got what it takes, you can play High Stakes.
Hi, everyone, and welcome to another episode of High Stakes Poker presented by
PokerStars.net.
I'm Norm MacDonald.
Last time, we saw a new player come into the game, young pro Andrew Roble.
His online nickname is Good to See You.
I bet he was thinking it was good to see Phil Ruffin and Bill Klein sitting
right next to him.
The two amateurs have over $1.2 million in front of them.
Tonight, let's see if he can get his hands on some of that money.
Or if he just adds to their fortunes.
And we are in our beautiful suite.
And over $3 million is on the table.
There is Andrew Roble.
Antonio raises with my favorite hand.
8-6 suited.
Call.
Call.
Let's get him.
And Ruffin calls with my favorite hand.
8-6 suited.
You guys might notice I have a lot of favorite hands.
But wait a second, this is my actual favorite hand, Pocket Kings.
We raise $15,000 total.
How much is your plan, Melissa?
Started with about $200.
200?
Thank you.

If Antonio thought Ruffin was calling, he would call.
You got them all right.
That's good news when I go like this.
And no one will challenge Ms. Selpst.
I set you up perfectly, Vanessa.
You know, I talk about how much I'm going to call.
How much is your plan, Melissa?
I set you up perfectly, Vanessa.
You know, I talk about how you always bluff, and you pick up a big hand and get
no action.
Sick.
You might as well have just been bluffing.
Might as well have been.
I know.
I should have been.
So who's better, Vanessa or Annette?
Robles.
They're at what?
Soon we're talking about Roosa, right?
Tournaments.
No.
You.
Or Annette.
In tournaments.
Just want to stir it up a little, you know?
I know you do.
Yeah.
Barry, who's better?
They're both good.
See, Barry thinks a little quicker on his feet than I do.
He has the experience with all those player rankings on his website.
People always worry about better, you know?
You know, like, that's an absolute...
Viffer got his ace-10 back.
Better and best, and like, everyone's always the same.
Like, I like on your website, Barry, it doesn't say anyone's a bad player.
They're all good.
Well, no, but everyone I didn't name is bad.
No, I'm kidding.
I knew there was a reason you left me off the list.
Yeah.
Well, two blinds and Viffer.
Both blinds have decent hands.
They're your favorite move.
Yeah.
Why does there have to be a ranking?
Ruffin and his Kings.
Me.
Especially for poker, where there's so many variations.
Wow.
$20,000 into a $3,200 pot.
That's like bringing a gun to a pillow fight.
That's it.
That seems to be the bat.
Yeah.
I thought I was going to win most pots, but I'm pretty sure that...
He probably wins the majority.
Not just, like, the most of anyone, but probably, like, more than 50% of the
pots.
I'll make a pair of them to get broke.
So Ruffin is thinking, this is an easy game.
Just have a king in your hand and these fellas will pay him money.
Everyone's pretty quiet.
But that usually means the game is going to tighten up.
Guess not with this lineup.
Well, you've got to at least put eight in.
Eight?
What do you think it was 20?
I thought it was 20.
I'm going to play a little cheaper now.
I thought it was 20.
Do you have the most lifetime tournament winnings for a female, Vanessa?
What did you say?
Do you have the most lifetime tournament winnings?
Kathy Lieber and Randy Duke.
Viffer and two businessmen to the flop.
A story that we see over and over.
Oh, a tournament wins or winnings?
What?
No one makes a pair.
Six?
They both have one.
The six pairs, Klein, and Pete and gives Ruffin a flush drop.
How many people win that tournament?
There's the flush.
Nine to ten.
That is 1,000.
You get 1,000.
20.
All right.
20,000 total.
I love Phil.
And there's the bit.
You've got to love this man.
20's a bit.
You just feel the love.
Feel the love.
Feel the love.
Soon I'll be having steak feeling the love, you know?
Mm-hmm.
I don't have much.
The last $20,000 river bet by Ruffin was a bluff.
But not this time.
He's got the goods.
But this guy, I was playing as a real bachelorette.
Now he gave the speech before he bet the 20.
They were so big and everything.
He was so big and everything.
He was so big and everything.
Well, you know, you just feel the love.
You just feel the love.
You just feel the love.
You feel the love.
You feel the love.
Soon I'll be having steak feeling the love, you know?
Mm-hmm.
I don't have much.
The last $20,000 river bet by Ruffin was a bluff.
But not this time.
He's got the goods.
This guy, I was playing as a real bachelorette.
He gave the speech before he bet the 20.
And he was so big and everything.
And he raised me $80,000.
I'll never forget it.
And I moved it on him.
He threw his hand away and turned up.
It was seven deuce.
I looked at it, you know, and he smiled at me.
We took a break.
A loose call by Viffer.
I want to remind you that all these calls and bluffs
between these two players
can all be directly traced back to that failed $100,000 bluff
by Viffer.
Welcome back.
We're playing high stakes poker.
Let's take a look at our stack sizes.
Antonio and Ruffin up over $400,000 each.
We just said we'll just chop this thing up and we'll just go out.
Everybody was moving in every hand.
I think Freddie D might have been the winner.
Yeah, he won it right here.
I think that was the year.
Vanessa doesn't want to play a king-10.
Robo trying to get a feel from the players to his left
before committing any chips with king-six of hearts.
Impossible to steal it.
Phil's going for it.
Klein will try to pick up the blinds and nannies right here.
Feel good now.
Of course, both blinds call him.
Ace high flush draw for Brunson.
Top pair for Bill Klein.
Pete says lullaby baby to his baby deuces.
Doyle hopes he can raise and win the pot without making his ace high flush.
20 is a magical number.
No, he's going to have to make it.
No club.
Doyle is going to back his story with a bet of 60,000.
Don't need to count it.
Good hand.
Nice hand, Doyle.
10 Dewey.
10 Dewey.
60,000.
If he was after club, he was in bad shape.
What if he had the top pair, Doyle?
Was he still in bad shape?
Well, it took a while.
But I think our pros have finally got a line on the amateurs.
They've made some timely bluffs and some good calls.
Except Viffer, of course, and his silly thoughts against Ruffin.
Barry Greenstein decides to commit 3,000 of his 27 with ace five suited.
They're not letting you buy the condo?
They're not letting you buy the condo?
They're not any condo.
And runs into ace king suited.
But Ruffin just calls.
I think they're still letting you buy your condo.
Barry will need help on the flop.
Yeah, but in the meantime, it's a hotel now.
Right.
Even if they had your condo back.
And now, he's going to need a miracle.
Really?
He's got three of them there.
He's got three of them there.
An actual miracle.
This settled for about 60%.
Let's bet.
Of course, he bet 5,000.
And Ruffin just calls.
Where are we in the Mandarin for two weeks?
Really?
Whoa!
And Barry is like, "Yes!
My luck is finally changing!"
Sick.
What do you have there, Barry?
$13,900.
Do you have any more?
No, I want one.
That's not good.
Do you have any more?
That's not bad.
Is that it?
You're going straight.
The view is unbelievable.
Flush ace high.
That's all you have?
That's going to win.
You have some nice hands.
Yeah, that's a good seat.
How did you like the flop, though?
I liked the flop.
You liked the flop?
It was okay?
You liked the flop?
It was okay?
It was okay.
It was okay.
You had some nice hands.
Yeah, that's a good seat.
How did you like the flop?
I liked the flop.
It was okay?
Yeah.
A little went busto.
Yeah.
What do you want?
Very hungry.
So Barry is tapped out, and so he buys another two.
Welcome back to High Stakes Poker.
Okay.
They did one where it's in the table.
And the Phil Ruffin Show continues.
Pocket nines.
Oh.
Limps.
Pete can't wait to call them with any two cards.
So is Doyle apparently.
And Vanessa stirs things up with pocket eights.
What is the magician going to do with Big Slick?
He raised to $20,000.
Raises it to $20,000.
Call.
Hold on.
I'm sorry.
That's right.
Ruffin calls out a turn.
That's right.
Action down to Vanessa.
I apologize.
Oh, all good.
Oh, all good.
Action down to Vanessa.
I apologize.
Oh, all good.
Oh, all good.
Action down to Vanessa.
I apologize.
Oh, all good.
Action down to Vanessa.
I apologize.
Oh, all good.
Action down to Vanessa.
Oh, all good.
Action down to Vanessa.
I apologize.
Oh, all good.
Action down to Vanessa.
Oh, all good.
Action down to Vanessa.
I apologize.
Oh, all good.
Action down to Vanessa.
Oh, all good.
Okay.
Antonio misses the flop.
No ace or king for him.
But he decides to represent a big pair with a bit of 45,400.
Works with Ruffin instantly.
Vanessa might be a little harder to get through.
45,400.
She's looking at Antonio.
Trying to get a read.
He's looking at Antonio.
Trying to get a read.
Couldn't get one.
Antonio's bet into two players.
Very convincing.
Not the three of diamonds.
Come on.
Come on.
That's such a needle.
Come on, Pete.
Enough of that.
I thought it was going in.
Thought it was going in.
Thought it was going in.
Thought it was going in.
Thought it was going in.
Thought it was going in.
Thought it was going in.
Thought so, too.
What?
Just imagine if you had the old 10 deuce that time.
I had a side, but I was calling.
You were calling?
I was calling.
I was calling.
I was calling.
You were calling?
I was calling.
I was calling.
I was calling.
I was calling.
I was calling.
I was calling.
I was calling.
I was calling.
I was calling.
I was calling.
I had a side, but I was calling.
You were calling.
I was calling.
I had a side, B.
Then you had the best hand.
I got to use my, my net image.
You know?
Okay.
I was calling.
I had a side, but I was calling.
I had a side, but I was calling.
You were calling.
I was calling.
I had a side, B.
Then you had the best hand.
I got to use my, my net image.
You know?
Okay.
Brunson with a real hand.
I just didn't built up.
I didn't shove it.
It's bad.
Raise to 3,500.
You shove.
I show you two aces.
I don't know why I didn't shove it.
It's bad.
Raise to 3,500.
You shove.
I show you two aces.
I don't know why I didn't shove it.
I don't know why I didn't shove it.
I don't know why I didn't shove it.
It's bad.
I don't know why I didn't shove it.
I don't know why I didn't shove it.
It's bad.
I don't know why I didn't shove it.
It's bad.
Raise to 3,500.
You shove.
I show you two aces.
And you get very sad.
That's why you didn't shove.
No.
It usually doesn't stop me.
I don't know.
It's a good bet.
Call.
Ruffin with another pair.
Should've just pulled it over for your foot.
It would've been easier.
When did you have eights?
Dead on.
Something around there.
Something around there.
Something around there.
Something around there.
I don't know.
I don't know.
I don't know.
I don't know.
I don't know.
I don't know.
I don't know.
It's a good bet.
Call.
Ruffin with another pair.
Something aro
