Hi, everybody. This is Tim Heidecker from the On Cinema podcast. Just wanted to
drop
in real quick and tell you about a cool live event that we're hosting up in San
Francisco
coming up June 2nd. It's On Cinema Live with Tim Heidecker and my guest, Greg
Turkington,
who's with me here right now. Greg.
Hey, guys.
And we're going to be showing a film called Moment by Moment. It's going to be
at the
Roxy Theater in San Francisco. If you want to check out details on that, go to
roxy, that's
roxie.com slash events slash details dot cfm question mark event ID equals 7AA9EBFD.
I guess
it's a dash 1143 dash D BB3 dash C6788001 DA86964. No, no, no. You forgot the
five.
It's DA586964. I think you can also access that just if you go to roxy.com and
search for
upcoming events. But also, I just want to mention, guys, thanks for listening,
that he should have
capitalized. You wouldn't be able to do that if you use lowercase letters.
Everything after
the event ID equals 7. From then on, all the letters are capitalized.
Right. Anyway, just go to roxy.com. Don't mess around with that. I didn't
realize that address
was so long. I'm just looking at it right now. Anyway, a little bit about this
event. It's
Club Chuckles is presenting it. And, you know, this is a great movie that Greg
and I are fans
of starring one of our favorite actors, John Travolta and Lily Tomlin. We're
going to be on hand. We're
going to be doing a discussion before the film that will be specifically about
the careers of John
Travolta and Lily Tomlin, focusing mostly on stuff around this period. Tell me
a little bit about the
movie, Greg. Well, you know, Travolta was at his peak. If you've seen Grease or
Saturday Night Fever
or Welcome Back Cotter, you know that Travolta was on fire. And they made this
movie with Lily Tomlin,
who was also on fire. If you have seen Laugh-In or 9 to 5 or some of her other
great movies,
you know that it was time for these two greats to unite and make a love story.
And we don't often
cover love stories on cinema. We should do more of them because they're very
popular. And this one
is not the most well-known of all, but is one of the best.
So it's Saturday, June 2nd, up there in San Francisco. Love San Francisco. You
know,
we've done live events there or live shows there before, live podcasts before.
This is the first
time we'll be doing it in public, co-presented by Club Chuckles. It's 11 p.m.,
15 bucks.
Come on down. We're going to be just having fun talking movies. We'll get a
chance to see everybody
meet you guys, the audience, and just have a great night celebrating the
careers of two legends,
two living legends, John Travolta and...
And Lily Tomlin. And I've heard that the popcorn at the Roxy is quite good.
Well, and who knows? Bring an appetite. Bring an appetite. You might end up
getting a special
guest or two besides us. Who knows? I know that John Travolta is friends with
Robin Williams,
and I know Robin Williams lives in San Francisco. Well, John Travolta has his
own plane.
And John Travolta has his own plane. So we're reaching out to him and seeing if
he wants to come up.
No guarantees. And I know he's probably not going to make an announcement or
anything. But anyways,
very cool stuff happening all over town. Have a great weekend or week. We hope
to see you up there.
If you can't make it or you're not living in San Francisco, then disregard.
Anyways, thank you.
And also buy your tickets in advance because this would help us if we could
show that people were
buying tickets. Thank you very much.
Thank you.
