Doug, I just want to read you this one sentence, I think it's a sentence, from
the one of three negative reviews that the film's gotten so far.
And this is from Nigel Andrews at the Financial Times. Are you a subscriber to
the Financial Times, anybody?
No.
Negative.
Okay.
It's a British financial banking newspaper. It's like that, you know what it is?
It's that pink paper.
You ever see the pink paper in the newsstands or at the airports?
No.
All right. So here's just the, I haven't read the full review because it's
under a paywall. I can't get to the actual Financial Times. I'm not going to go
down to Fleet Street. Where's the street in London? I'm not going to go to Barclays.
Hello?
Why not?
I'm not going to go to, you know, I'm not going to go to, you know, Heathrow
Airport, you know? I mean, come on.
They make money in the old fashioned way. They earn it.
Nigel Andrews. This is his, this is the quote that they use on the Rotten
Tomatoes site.
Us seems merely the sum of the first film's critical effluent and influent wish
determining the new movie's monody of genre and monotony of tone in the name of
a species homogeneity.
What?
Let's break that down.
Us, here, here, I say, I say, I say, I am Nigel Andrews from the Financial
Times.
Us, yes, us, seems merely the sum of the first film's critical effluent and
influent wish.
I'd love to get like, I'd love to get like, I'd love to get like, the old radio
effect on my, like, get the old crackling radio like Winston Churchill coming
through.
Us seems merely the sum of the first film's critical effluent and influent wish
determining the new movie's monodony of genre and monotony.
Of turn in the name of auspicious homogeneity.
This is, ladies and gentlemen, this is Nigel Andrews reporting from the
Financial Times.
I am here to report on a number of films.
I am here to report on a number of films.
Victor, you're here to ask me about certain films. Name the classic movie, I'll
tell you all about it.
Have you seen Scream?
I have seen the film Scream! In all the telloed halls of the Monterey, there is
not but one source to this.
And shall be a provocatash again! Of the Doroncha Panterey!
We shall never see a film of quite complipity as before.
All right, enough of that.
Nigel has been added to the roster of guests on the show, you see.
I say, I say, I say. A rotten tomato indeed, yes. Splattered it does go,
unfortunately. All the best to those who made it, you see. But unfortunately,
in a monotony of tone in the name of auspicious homogeneity, you see!
I like it.
That's so stupid. Sorry, bird buddy.
