if
you're ready is my mic there is okay
okay let me get a message good morning good morning good morning good morning
good morning good morning
good morning good morning Doug
good morning Doug
oh
okay good morning Sam good morning Doug hi everybody welcome to the show
welcome to
to Vic Berger hello good morning Vic how are you all right good morning
audience good morning
everybody watching on YouTube live we are live here in Glendale California
Wednesday
May 8th at the absolutely headquarters in Glendale California we are we had a
number of technical
problems this morning minutes ago there was severe phasing there was a cord
that wasn't
plugged in that we couldn't figure out was out it was a terrible phase in the
show's history
we also have three who fixed it well who caused it I didn't know sir so gremlin
came in in the
night I'm turned up this I just want you to know what two and three is what I
need you to do I
need you to know your board oh here we go I need you to know your board drop so
when problems
when gremlins come in you can immediately identify where the problem is in the
on the on your mini
board there's only four fucking buttons there true what are you guys doing
cycling through your
drops can you do that the night before okay I'm very tired I've got a short
fuse today oh boy shorter
than usual the gremlin oh oh from the gremlins movie yeah doesn't the name gremlins
in the title sort
of isn't that a spoiler right there isn't that a why well you're like I should
be called um you
start excuse me what are they you start you yeah uh uh for my why mag why
called the mag why incident
that would not have done as well um the other thing is we are that's why that
movie failed we are back on
skype at uh t heidecker underscored
uh t heidecker underscored
so you you create a premise where these cute little furry animals turn into
these scary devils
but you're telling the audience right off the bat about these gremlins
but one stays cute though and nice you know so you don't expect that
that's still it's not called mag why that's true that's true the mag why
incident
that would not have done as well um the other thing is we are that's why that
movie failed we are back on skype at uh t heidecker underscored
two numerical two t heidecker underscore two give us a ring we have a new okay
that we have a new setup there hopefully we have
uh but we haven't tested it we have uh we should test we should take a call to
see if it works but i'm trying to
a make it so that you the listener can hear doug and vic and b we get those
digital clips blips and bips and bops out
so can't we just communicate we can try that's what we're trying to do vic
oh it's super good super super super good um yeah let's take a skype call just
to see if it works
my bet is it's super super super super super super super super super super
super super super super super super super super super super super super super
oh okay hold on get i don't like these joe rogan clips it's bums me out hello
hello that's why we do it
now what is it can you hear me yes can you hear me yes i can what
what is that slow can you hear uh doug talk to the caller hi caller can you
hear this i can hear doug
what wait now can you hear vick good morning caller yes vick wow we are uh we
are we have a real show ladies and gentlemen
uh so what are you gonna do say say something terrible and hang up after all
that no no no no
i'm just doing math work my dad's in here we're just watching your show we
watch it every week
who's your dad my dad is michael reynolds ah the great michael reynolds let's
get him on the horn hi
dad he's it's all you know you're on speaker because it's on my macbook so
right and i got you on my
my iMac nice i got the yeah well how can i help you today so i uh all my
friends we all love you
yes we wanted to know i wanted to know is it true that you and eric sent a tape
in to bob odenkirk with
the bill is that how it all started that is a true story i've told many times
it's uh featured in several
interviews what i'm trying to say is i never really had a daddy oh come on all
right
um yes as the story goes we sent a package to odenkirk i i uh snuffed out his
uh sniffed out his
address stop it can you hear their their annoying drops on the call it's great
yeah yeah it's just
like you're listening to the show well i have the show on too so it's like a
lot of well thank you for
not uh for thank you for muting the stream yeah i did do that that would bless
you sir um yes the story
is we uh we're young and naive had no connections no no uh hollywood
connections oh i'm getting phase
again you hear that no i'm not getting it tim how'd you um so where'd that
phase come from where'd it
come from maybe tim how'd you get bob's you're fucking phasing what the fuck
you're just back
well maybe the listeners who are like fans of prog rock or something they'll be
into it so stupid
yes the fans of prob prob yeah what do you mean oh the the the thing the phase
the phaser pedal was
big in the right in the 70s prog rock hold on let me just get this show right
on track i'm trying
there's this phasing issue any of you uh guitar center employees want to come
over here
and hook us up with a d phaser pedal vick what genre of rock was the phaser
pedal mostly used i would
answer that oh sorry oh i would say i would say it's grunge is more is it phaser
or more flange in grunge
i guess the phaser i could also hear a lot on like uh like uh like like pink
floyd no like a little bit
there but yeah like 80s brit rock shoegaze stuff but like but like before then
it came out the smiths
well that's more almost more um chorus pedal i think we're we're thinking of
maybe of the chorus
pedal well let's embrace it today yes this show is brought to you by the roland
chorus pedal phaser
there's so many that's like one of those uh that's like one of those processor
uh racks you know
there's everything's pressed um but yes that's the story uh we sent him a
package that included a uh a dvd of
some of our work and included a headshot headshot um signed headshots and an
invoice which included uh
you know the price of he asked uh he asked how you got his address did he send
it to his manager or
something or is it i had some connections looked at the end of the credits for
mr show and one of the
credits was dakota picture dakota films and that was the production company
much like absolutely is that did it but it
wasn't his bob's company so i called dakota and i tried to get a hold of bob
through them but they
said no he's here's his here's his office number and i got that and i called
his assistant and asked to
if we if i could send him something and they gave me the address and it's it's
that simple wow
so long ago big plans many many moons ago and here i am now running my own
media empire and how dare you send
me something actually you know what people send me stuff all the time somebody
we're going to talk to
today on the show uh brendan o'hare uh what are we that's that was phased what
was that you're just
finding phased i'm fine phased music and playing it now we're going to talk to
a couple of guys that uh
i think i found actually through vic brendan o'hare and uh cory snap snierowski
who uh have launched
we've produced a we've produced a podcast called this is branchberg which you
can get everywhere right
now um it's very funny um and i think these guys are are very funny young boys
it should be huge but it
won't be but we will talk to them we will talk to them in about 20 minutes i'm
going to try to call
them um this aristotle i didn't get to tell you uh brendan's number is in my
email i'll i'll send it to

you just need to uh raise the
the main volume there you go hello hello hello yes talk to me i'm talking can
you imagine can you imagine
listening to this show it would be so it's gotta be awful it's gotta be i'm
just calling in right now
thank god well what where are you calling from i'm calling from iraq no you're
not okay yes i am stop with
the things this guy's talking i'm not doing it most drugs oh god damn it this
is a guy this is one of our
proud service members calling in from iraq i'm actually not a service yes you
are i tell you who you are
you're in service to me okay no probably working for shell oil what are you
doing in iraq what city
in your don't you don't just say you're in urbil urbil it's actually kurdistan
the kurdistan oh the
northern region they consider it kurdistan here wow what what what are you
doing there what's going on i am
back i'm just backpacking around i'm visiting a friend that lives here she's an
english teacher hey
oh and uh i was living abroad so i decided to to travel here because when else
am i going to come
here to visit a friend you know so so there's mountain you're going to be
interesting you're in
kind of a mountainous region uh yeah it is actually it's northern it's northern
iraq so um it is pretty
mountainous there's like no desert here it's very mountainous and green right
now it's actually really
beautiful is it um is it relatively calm and peaceful and uh it is you know i
wasn't i was
obviously very hesitant when i was first thinking of coming here but um this
region is extremely safe
right now it's very stable i've never felt safer it it's actually just like
traveling anywhere else
right now it's actually really cool um and this part of iraq you can actually
go to as an american like
visa free you don't even need to do anything crazy to get here it's just like
you get you get in you
get 30 days to travel around and check it out and it's totally fine visa free
yeah yeah well definitely
don't leave home without your american express where did you uh how did you get
there from where'd you
fly into i i actually crossed over land through turkey we crossed the land
border through uh southern
turkey into uh into northern iraq all right which was actually also very easy
but you can also fly in
here too and the people are nice the people are the nicest people i have ever
come across travel oh
you haven't come across me come on you also want to be the nicest person yeah
honestly though like this
place is one of the most i think miss kind of communicated places right now
well you're the expert
i mean so yeah i agree but you know um well listen i wish you'd safe travels uh
thank you what uh how's
the thing going with the girl the friend you're flying all the way across the
world to go see marron
what's happening with that situation you know what i mean she's like oh wow you
came all the way here
jesus what do you think is going to happen pal no actually i was living in georgia
the country before
this which isn't that far we were living where it's out yeah i was in georgia
the country oh georgia the
country groovy baby it wasn't that long of a trip for me how could the guy
calling from iraq be the
most boring call we've ever had i mean please how is it communicating with
people do you do you know
the language or do you yes does everybody know engl
