um i think the first thing that comes to their mind is my ability with with
spices and
and i'm i'm really excited about your spice sponsor so you wouldn't consider
yourself a rock whiz
well no it's really more about the spices and and how you put it into different
sauces and you can
combine it in different ways and it can create a kind of um a spicy taste in
your dinners or or for
instance in your lunch okay um yes but i think spice is really where um what
what why do you ask well i would
like to check i was hoping to officially challenge you to a rock whiz challenge
to see what what me
against you yeah and you have the answer sitting in front of you sitting on
apple music what are you
talking about how dare you that is a that is an insane accusation shame on you
all right i'm ready this
is kind of like the classic you're up in san francisco no i'm in los angeles i'm
about to move to tucson in
two days oh you're like you're keeping me from my packing duties what are you
going to do in tucson so
god damn hot there or maybe not okay can i just make a slight comment the uh
every time you mention
texas somebody puts on banjo banjo snippets the banjo is not a common
instrument in texas it's an
appalachian instrument it's true in the appalachian mountains on the near the
east coast it's true and
then when you do the thank god i'm a country boy that's john denver i know i'm
not he's not from
tucson no no no greg listen i'm at my research here this country i'm at my wits
end with the holy
trinity and we probably won't be seeing them uh being i'm gonna be we have a
big meeting after the
show and it's probably gonna be curtains put me on um all right matt do you
want to uh quickly uh
transition into rock whiz yeah uh we have mauricio we'll do three questions
because no one likes this
game the audience oh look at uh oh look at our drawing satomi should describe
it for the uh that was
unbelievable oh my god do i look wow that's awful am i wearing a uh wait see it
again put it up again oh
satomi has to make some noise to get her camera to turn on that my thing could
be something to tell

we're giving away the new ohl bumper stickers and w ohl pins so we're going to
be giving that to a fan
whoever wins this yeah the bad news is is zan is in the uk so i don't know how
we're going to get
that to him it's going to put you out of business it's going to be a delay but
we can chip that okay
we have a ritchie ballen spin that i'm going to throw in jesse
i'm not going to win so this quiz is going to be hard you know what there's no
way you can lose
because if if i win i'm going to i'm going to i'm going to seed the prize pack
to you and if greg
wins i mean he has the choice to give it to you or keep it for himself i guess
but i think he's going
to do the right thing otherwise we're going to you're going to have the heidecker
mob after deer hoof
you don't need that right now i mean with what's going on i've heard your
numbers have been you know
inaccurately reported in the past well it's a huge it's a huge gang and they're
nasty when they
when let's look at kw miller i mean the guy's the host the guy's basically ash
so um all right let's begin do you hear that how loud is that i know it's so
loud
i don't know if it comes through on the yeah people might not be hearing it
hearing someone's drilling right outside the door it's so loud it's so loud
sorry everybody that's
the that's right outside tim's place so i got the first question ready you guys
are ready let me know
okay we're ready first answer wins the point and then it's three questions only
so go wow you guys
ready here's the first question this one is name both of the beach boys hits
that include the words
surfing from 1962 and 1963. surfing safari surfing usa
that's correct boom wow greg unbelievable i had surfing safari i just wasn't
ready with this
shame on you vic for not surfing usa of course isn't really a beach boys song
it's a rip-off of chuck
right they had to give him credit but i didn't know i could shout out things
too i didn't know i was
playing he is so i'm still taking the i'm still taking the point right take it
definitely i mean

sounds a lot better
buddy that's better okay yeah i know you like to make noise music and all sorts
of experimental
shit but not on my show oh no i was guest editor of this music website for for
one week and it was my
job to get musicians to review records new records by other musicians that was
the the theme of the
website and i got david byrne to review the latest barry manilow record wow in
which barry manilow did
uh it was an entire record of duets with dead people right he had gone barry
manilow uh maybe bet
did it for him i don't know but went back through kind of a spreadsheet of a
list of dead musicians
right well beth midler's not old recordings and added overdubbed his voice
singing along with them
that's like the natalie cole reviewed it well did he give it a good review or
not burn did he like
it was uh it was no you know it wasn't like uh you know the the talk house is
is like more highbrow than
that it was more like an essay you know a discussion of the of the concepts and
themes and ramifications
i gotta see that without a number at the end unlike this quiz where there's
going to be a number and
there's about to be a number which either you or me gonna win this is a tiebreaker
here we go mauricio
send it uh send us your question now one another one here is the next question
what song was a 1963
hit for peter paul and mary and also stevie wonder blown in the wind oh that's
correct okay
how about winner takes all one more that's absolutely how it goes on this show
want another one yeah one
more robbed of your victory by by double or nothing or whatever sure double or
nothing i'll take it
easily and guess what zan wins either way okay that'd be great all right what
is the final question
let me guess it's about 1963.
the boss was a 1979 top 20 song by whom what's it called what's it called the
boss the boss or the bus
the box the boss the bus the bus the boss like bruce springsteen

having a thing where
they're putting you could submit a photo and you could put it on the stand in
dodger stadium so i
went ahead and put brody stevens uh we bought a ticket for him i submitted the
image it was approved
yesterday by the dodgers so brody stevens is going to be in dodger stadium is
uh at least you know
that's great brody took me to a uh a dodgers game when the phillies were in
town several years ago
he took me for pitching what is it called batting practice pitching practice
and i got to go on the
field i met some of the players too edgy he's he was a huge baseball guy and uh
