All right, like here's okay.
Does that work?
Hi, how you doing?
Good to be with you.
Hi, everybody.
I am joined today by actor, musician, comedian, podcast host, podcast host, Tim
Heidecker.
So, Tim, thank you so much for coming and sitting down with me.
Happy to be here.
So tell me, what are you most passionate about?
Is it the acting? Is it the music? The comedy?
I mean, you know, I love it all.
I think I don't really have a preference.
Okay.
Any big plans for the holiday?
No, not really.
Just I'm going to spend some time with my family and take it easy.
All right.
Any plans for next year you want to tell us about?
Yes, in fact, I have big plans.
I'm going to be hitting the road January 22nd in San Francisco.
Me and the Very Good Band are launching the Slipping Away World Tour, if you
include Canada as another country.
We're kicking things off in San Francisco at Bimbos with my very special guest,
Saturday Night Live's own Kyle Mooney.
That's cool.
And then Neil Hamburger will be joining us in Minneapolis and heading out
across the great Midwest into Chicago and Detroit and many of those cities.
You know, Cleveland, Ohio.
Uh-huh.
And Toronto.
Yeah, that is actually cool.
When the tour reaches my home state of Pennsylvania, the one and only DJ Doug Pound
will join us with stops in New York City, Philadelphia, Boston, Washington, D.C.
and Asheville, Nashville, Durham, Tampa, Orlando, Atlanta, Florida, Atlanta,
Florida, Tampa, Florida, and Atlanta.
The final leg of the tour features a very secret surprise guest, which I can't
say who it is.
I won't be allowed to.
My lips are sealed.
Okay, so my friends in New Orleans, Houston, Dallas, and Phoenix are in for a
real treat.
In fact, everyone is in for a real treat.
We've got comedy, music, laughter, tears, and a true feeling of love,
compassion, community, and friendship.
Okay, wow, that's exciting.
I do have a question because your new record, Slipping Away, is kind of sad.
Will the show be sad?
No, not right now.
Put some weight back on.
Yeah, a little bit.
Yeah, I know.
Thanksgiving and what are you going to do?
I know you're really into the music right now.
The band is great.
I got a chance to play with them, obviously, and see them as well.
Songwriting is terrific.
But I know that people love you for your humor and your comedy.
Would you do an impression for us?
Oh, I don't know.
I mean, I'd rather, I'm really here to talk about the music and talk about the...
Yoda?
I mean, I'll...
Ah, come see.
Ah, come see.
Tour?
Ah, slipping away.
Tour?
You must.
Come on tour.
I see the...
Southern guy?
What, Southern guy?
Well, we'll be down there in South Carolina.
We won't be in South Carolina.
It's time for you to get tickets to my show.
See, girl?
I mean, I really don't want to make this interview about that.
Okay.
About me doing stereotypes.
Rock and roll, Gary?
I'd rather not keep doing...
I'd rather not keep doing these.
Finally, Tim, these interviews where I'm interviewing myself, a little played
out.
Obviously, David Byrne did it back in the day with Stop Making Sense.
You did it yourself with Dr. Steve Brule on Check It Out.
Are you really that bereft of new and original ideas that you're resorting to
this kind of gimmick?
I mean, I don't see it that way, but I'm sure some of the people watching will
and are certainly going to let me know.
Well, thank you so much for your time.
Good luck on the tour.
Tell us again where people can get their tickets.
Ah, tickets are available at timheidecker.com slash live.
And you'll be able to find VIP tickets there for a meet and greet ahead of the
show, as well as signed items.
Well, thank you so much.
Okay.
Thank you.
