joy tactics come with me and you'll be in a world of pure imagination
the new wonka trailer dropped today and it fucking looks horrible i'm so
disappointed
if they had got my ass in there i would have told them exactly what to do to
make this a
number one international hit every time we're about to start recording a
podcast we like spend 15
minutes say okay fuck what are we gonna talk about what are we gonna do we lock
in we hone in
all right ready set roll and eric's got like a 10 minute monologue about
something we didn't even
float on the radar whatsoever all right today we're gonna talk about geography
ready let's just talk
about the history of russia and geography here we go nintendo 64 is an amazing
come out what the
fuck well hey listen i was gonna get into it real quick i was gonna clearly get
into what we're
talking about but i just needed to let everybody know and by the way i love
that song and you would
think in that trailer the whole fucking trailer would be pure imagination uh
the song but they
barely even use you know what you guys are rotten fools for messing wonka well
rotten food tastes good
did some things larvas that's for sure rotten is michelin but i was talking to
one of the highly
most respected individuals on the planet i won't say who it was but let's just
say they're old as fuck
and they were telling
dude all right dude that's not cool man
that's not i'm like literally full of that shit today i'm full of fucking what
do they call it pork and
beans ashton kitcher well they were saying that they actually fucking and they
hate music videos
wow and when they came out and they still don't like them because a song is
when when you hear it you
are putting yourself in it and you're imagining you are doing the imagining to
it yeah so we're
supposed to be the lead of it yeah it's kind of like how dare you yeah you know
now i'm thinking
about you this beautiful unrealistic image of you know jared leto or whatever
and i can't even i can't
even bother applying it to my life because my life is pebbles and biscuits
compared to what james
whatever his name is jared leto is doing right now in the desert jack you know
what you need to do
is use your a lot of people don't know this but some people do that you are one
of the
most goaded music video directors in the uh greater washington dc oh well yeah
everybody
who's helped patreon knows that everyone knows what you've done with what's it
was his name i
basically started the hip-hop movement in washington dc you have helped out the
2011 hip-hop movement the
2011 washington dc suburban hip-hop movement basically like it was everything
to me whether
it's urban artistry with the you're the hype williams of of 2012 you know who i
am man i'm the i am the
cootie from the yay documentary yes yes 2011 2011 heights uh people who didn't
go to college rap but this is
what you need to do jack you need to i don't think anyone's ever done this
before but you know how much
music came out before the 1980s a lot and oh yeah and there's so many songs
that do not have music
videos accompanying them so what would it be like if mozart's symphony in b
flat seven symphony eight
had a the most fire fucking music video with cheeks clapping you know what i'm
saying i mean oh
strippers we got like the cars bouncing up and down while you're hearing the
chariot right
um i mean the thing is that's a great idea i would want to work with a soothsayer
or whatever
somebody who speaks to the dead okay because i would want to communicate the
vision of the artist
i'm not going to roll up on chopin's fantasy impromptu and just put my own shit
on it because
that's not what a music video is about to me i love that people do hire and get
directors in
but ultimately i think that a music video should be directed by the musician
and if that means they
i've been fucking saying that nobody will listen to me why will no one listen
to me but respect the
artist everybody good god whoa now slow down there horsey that was only but a
teaser just a little
taste of what i can only assume is one of the most fire podcast episodes ever
recorded head over to
patreon.com joy tactics now to unlock this crazy ass fucking episode while
simultaneously getting in at
the ground floor of an exclusive community of like-minded individuals using
positivity to change the world
cheers
