joy tactics you guys i wrote a speech what is it really i'd like to read it can
i just read it
yeah what the hell this is this is such a surprise we had yeah what was the
speech
a letter to zoom okay and i wanted to print it out but i was i'm out of ink so
i'm reading it
fuck zoom okay we find ourselves here again trapped within these virtual boxes
when what
when all we want to do is think outside of them
it's funny because if you told someone from the past that they could speak to
and see anyone across the planet in real time they'd say i'm happy just
thinking about that
thank you sir right and yet here we are sexual eric confused jack and bald ass
nate confronted with
the reality that no technological innovation can ever satisfy the need for
human connection in its
purest form however somehow i do love zoom because sometimes the best way to do
something is the worst
way you'll ever do it but the fact that you got to do it that's zoom the
ability to do something
that is bad that we don't need to do now let's get into this zoom podcast with
our whole hearts
open and vulnerable for richer and for poorer and let's discuss whatever it is
that we end up talking
about today it's drama because people need us badly our listeners are so
depressed that i can't handle
it cheers what the oh wow wow cheers i just didn't want to put the mics up to
the camera and we cheers
them and that's kind of our new thing now wow jack that i didn't expect that
from you crazy well i
didn't i know just we were going back into zoom and after we've had such a
wonderful time in person and
i just wanted to enter it with some ceremony and not uh just kind of bummed out
by it i i appreciate
you doing that i also speaking of drama which is the subject of this episode i
have something to say to
zoom i'm on the actors subreddit and someone posted yesterday a new clause in
the user agreement for
zoom and they've snuck it under the radar they're trying to get this past
actors and writers and
creative peoples what they are saying is that they can use your likeness and
your words to i don't
know what they're going to do be making new zoom entertainment they're going to
be taking your
all of your creative ideas and synthesizing them into ai dust whoa so yeah and
they're using
they're going to make joy tactics too with some hotter guys which will be
nearly impossible
um no blemishes that will never get sick because they're computers you know
what i'm saying they're
going to try to take our three thousand dollars a month away from us and i won't
stand for that
i just won't i i don't like to get angry i'm not an angry person i'm rarely
violent but i'm ready to act
up if zoom continues to do this stop it now zoom we know you're listening stop
now stop what you're doing
they're doing this right now when we're on zoom yeah well then maybe one thing
we can do wait a
minute this is where they fucked up because they're not dealing with regular
run of the mill people
they're dealing with artists who come up with creative solutions yeah and so
here's my pitch okay zoom you
want to use our likeness to create something a joy tactics too fine so be it
then we're gonna
start messing with the input nate start saying some that's gonna get you
canceled right now
i will fall for this trap again we already did this one time and it went so
poorly for me my
career is forever ruined and i'm not gonna fall for this again sorry i've
gotten a lot smarter since
that time before before the zoom started nate was defending free speech in a
way that made me
he's scared to be his friend he kind of is always talking about free speech
lately and he's like no
matter what it is let him say it i say shit oh you know i'm like all right dude
hey there's no drama
without free speech oh actually at the gym the other day kelly when i were
working out and this guy was
had his camera set up and i thought he was talking to himself did i tell you
this yesterday jack
no and he was like talking under his breath and he's going like used to be 300
pounds used to get
no bitches now look i'm like i'm getting all the bitches and then he's talking
about his family he's
like come from a family of fat fucks oh like just going but saying it's so
quiet that it was like what
the like and it was so close to where we were working out but then i realized
he was vlogging and then i
immediately my respect went through the roof yeah because if he's being
vulnerable like that to an
audience he has nothing but my respect but if he was losing his mind that's
when he starts to
i don't respect people like that yeah no no no no no no no
