Joy Tactics.
Well, if you're watching this on our most high-quality Zoom recording,
you might be able to tell something that's a little different about me.
I'm wearing a gray shirt, and it's a little wet.
Now, do you think I got caught in the rain?
Or do you guys think that I took a shower and started having a mental break
and forgot to take my shirt off?
Or do you think the water came from inside me, and it was developed by exertion?
Which do you think it was?
I want to say that there's probably a 99% chance of the shower option,
but I think what you want us to say is that it came from internally.
No, I want you to answer honestly.
That's the only thing I'd ever want you to do.
I don't know.
I do want to take a shower like that sometimes.
I've been wondering where it came from, and I've been really nervous to ask,
so I don't know.
I don't want to offend you by saying the wrong thing,
but I'll just guess here and say, I mean, you're so strong.
You're so fucking strong.
So I'm going to guess that it's coming internally from sweat.
It has to be.
Or unless you're so strong that you don't even sweat anymore from working out.
You have to be like, you have to be shot to sweat, basically.
Can I put you guys out of your misery?
It's sweat.
I knew it.
I fucking knew it.
I just got back from the gym, and I worked out with Kayla Pitts,
who runs another left-leaning podcast called Podcast About List.
We like to work out together, and I hit it today.
Incline walk.
Yes.
Chest day.
Triceps.
Describe.
I was getting it in.
Okay.
That's crazy.
Now, do you guys have questions, or do you not?
I have questions.
It's okay if you don't.
I have questions.
I have questions.
I have questions.
A, how are you allowed to do, like, how do you have time to do this?
I feel like I don't have the confidence to walk into a place and just start
working out.
Like, I feel like I should go help someone clean up somebody's shoes when I
walk in,
or, like, ask them to teach me fucking Spanish or English.
You don't got to do that.
How do you believe in yourself that you deserve to look good instead of
thinking that you should be a tire?
Here's, yeah, good question.
It's all about discipline, not motivation.
You know what I mean?
You're never going to feel like you look good.
I look in the mirror and see a pile of shit every day, and I want to break the
mirror
and break everybody else who's ever seen me.
I want nobody to see me.
That's how I feel.
But what are my actions?
My actions say, I love myself.
I love going to the gym.
I love using Kiehl's oils all over my body.
What does that have to do with the Kiehl's thing?
What's that?
What does the Kiehl's have to do with any of this?
Nate, you're such a bad student.
I just felt like it was a moment to talk about male grooming.
No, I got it.
I feel like really, I feel like the awkwardness and the tension and reality of
this whole podcast
is that I'm here understanding the dynamic that me and Nate are paying $400 a
month to get
to have the opportunity to pay to speak with Eric Joseph Rahill.
What's your real name?
It doesn't matter.
To learn what he learned from himself.
He didn't even learn it.
He invented everything.
And Nate, you keep like, I don't know if it's your fucking ego or if you're
fucking like
anti-Semitic.
I don't have one of those.
I don't think Eric's Jewish, but you don't have an ego?
No.
Yeah.
All right, man.
Now you're just talking like fucking Hamtaro character.
In a sense.
Hamtaro.
All right.
Let's quit playing.
Let's get into the pod.
Let's get, listen.
Yeah, I know what we're playing.
Let's quit playing.
We wanted to chat about.
So today we wanted to chat about, what is it?
Gym life.
Oh, oh.
What was it?
Rolling with the punches.
Rolling with the punches, right?
At the gym.
That, at, yeah, theme of this podcast is rolling with punches at the gym.
And it's kind of a perfect segue because Nate just froze and then unfroze.
And we rolled with that punch smooth, smoothlessly or whatever the fuck.
Damn, I can't remember what, I had something to say.
I can't fucking remember.
I need somebody else operating my brain.
So rolling with punches.
Let's talk about the origin.
Of course.
Let's define it.
Rolling from boxing, right?
You slip and you roll.
So rolling with a punch.
Because if you roll into, if somebody's punching you and you roll into it, if
somebody comes
to punch you on the street and you think, all right, I know what to do, somersault.
Not, not, not.
Not, not, not, not, not.
It's pure physics.
It's pure physics.
Because you're going to make that hit harder.
You would think that a boxer would be able to take the most hardest punches on
the planet.
No, it's actually that your physics professor, who is very chronically ill.
Because he knows just when to, he's Neo.
The physics is the matrix.
You know what I mean?
Of course it is.
Everything around us is math and equations.
As are we.
Of force and velocity, et cetera.
And we.
So, no.
As are we.
I said, as are we.
So, Nate.
That's right.
Let me ask you a physics question.
If I take a motherfucking 50 cal sniper straight to your fucking head.
Dude, you don't want that to happen by the way.
How fast, how fast and in which direction do you think you'd have to run and
why?
How fast and so I think, well, let me answer the first question.
How fast?
Okay, let's just start there.
All right.
Is this directly point blank to my face or?
