Rock Bottom | Joy Tactics Podcast | EP. 42

my arm has fucking been tingling all morning you are about to have a heart
attack welcome to joy
tactics the podcast dedicated to all things joyful joyous and meeting as many
celebrities
as humanly possible hosted by eric rahill nate veroni and jack bensinger enjoy
starting off the podcast with some zwick this is some polish water that i
bought i went to a polish
bakery and i saw they had these fucking 15 for all these huge ass bottles of
water eric stop trying
to play around like everything's cool everything's all right right now this is
let's just get in
you're you're you're avoidant right now this yeah let's just go in let's just
go in right now it's
the you all three of us are at rock bottom states let me let me let me propose
it back to zero oh god
if i may if i may you've if you've listened to this podcast there's probably
been a lot of points where
we thought we hit rock bottom right but as with the earth what happens is you
think you're at the
bottom and then you reach the mantle and then you reach the crust and then you
reach the fucking
molten core the molten core but there's more between that where i don't think
we're at the core
yet but what's interesting about rock bottom is sometimes you can keep digging
they should call
it core get into the core that's true it shouldn't be called rock bottom
because rock bottom that's just
the bait that's not as deep as the rest of the earth well remember how spongebob
lives in bikini bottom and
remember when he takes the bus to rock bottom yeah and all the fish are fucking
different down there
because they need to be evolved so there's all these glowing fish and it's
fucking twilight zone down
there for spongebob bob it's hell and then he goes back to bikini bottom with a
whole new sense of
just sort of like appreciation and gratitude for what he has so essentially we
are in that episode
right now but remember he thinks he's being chased i think that's part of the
episode where he thinks
he's in danger yeah and the person goes you left your bus pass or something i
can't remember
i can't believe you remember that i'm i that's bringing back i don't even know
i don't remember
spongebob so well because i that's when i stopped watching television i watched
all fresh prince episodes
all of the george lopez anything on nick at night any children's programming
after school he doesn't
want me man what does he love me man what does he want me man i think i i
really was showing people
that video freshman year of college being like you're not gonna expect to cry
at french prince but like
try not to cry when you watch this oh there's a couple of ones two spenka shots
in doesn't carlton
get shot oh my god carlton gets shot and fresh prince yeah really i'm
remembering it wrong but i'm
pretty sure he gets shot by a robber by a robber a burglar uh you don't really
hear about robbers
anymore you know what i mean i used to be some of the burglars oh burglars burglars
bring back the
classic robber you know what i mean robber lycra what's that crazy yeah but no
we're getting
distracted we we are not doing good right now none of us are doing well
personally financially
career-wise spiritually emotionally emotionally what's that mean what hermetically
hermetic hermetic i don't
think that's a way you would describe how you're doing i think that's a way of
like sealing something
i don't think that's a word at all no it's a word right no i got hermetically
sealed what's that
like star wars i think it's a special way of ceilings my arm has fucking been
tingling all
morning you were about to have a heart attack that's a first sign what is it
your left that's
your left no my right arm so thank god nothing bagging okay unless your organs
are flipped around
i went to high school with somebody whose organs were on the opposite side of
their body
that person belongs in a different universe and they went through a fucking
portal when they went
through the womb so how do we fucking i mean guys i just okay last night i'll
tell i'll just kind of
open up on the pod last night jack jack and i were at an amazing another
amazing event and um i think
it's funny i'm just sitting there i'm bored because i'm feeling you know just
you know bored with life
and i post on instagram so lonely on instagram story so lonely and i think this
is a hilarious
right to just be joking about that and people are gonna laugh because they know
my ass and they know
that i'm actually the opposite of lonely and i actually can't survive unless i'm
around alternative
comedians or rising fucking designers and chefs and whatever singers but no i
got a out what made me
feel awful as i got what you would call an outpouring of love on instagram and
people stop doing this can
i just say stop just it's uh it makes it's like so fucking nice but it does
make me feel like i'm a
fucking evil villain for for eliciting that response from people you know well
and what do they think of
me that i would be posting that but you know maybe i'm just so convincing it's
crazy maybe this is a
question of art it's a weird day and age because you're expressing yourself
creatively and yeah once
it's out of your hands it's it's up to the person receiving it to decide how to
interpret that it's
like it's almost like as if somebody went in to watch the dark knight and they're
like wow i'm gonna
fucking reach out to batman and just let them know like you you fucking went
through that shit
and they'll go search on twitter at batman i mean maybe they can't find the
original one so they go
with that batman 2027 995 yeah they send them a dm the guy in the philippines
guy in the philippines
yeah some guy in philippines who's got one of those fishing holes inside of his
house oh those are
fucking i just saw a clip of um somebody in alaska visiting someone's fishing
hole dude what this is
bringing a couple of dreams back to me right now should we explore that let's
explore this dream
scenario out on 824 right now christopher borgley um just another movie i haven't
seen yet but oh my god
that's amazing have we said yet that the fuck can we get some okay bookmark i
want to talk about the
dream the other day that i had actually i don't i'll just say i was trying to
catch a frog now the
other thing is dude that means something that means something it means an
ancient whatever
chinese religion if you have a dream about trying to catch a frog a big frog
watch your back bro
i think yeah that's a mark of something but yo yeah the strike is over oh can
we please finally we have
been holding back on plugging some shit for so long first of all ladies and
gentlemen we were on the
motherfucking but the bear season two need i say more maybe we did maybe we
have plugged it before
because we sag was not on strike yet right we haven't been able to keep
plugging it every single
day since then if the strike wasn't going on we would be every day we would we
would have been
posting i know that like because this is all behind the scenes pics i almost
think that people forgot
that i was the voice of a of a frost boy in an episode of a show called dick
town that came out in
2022 on what streaming platform on f well it's on hulu and fx and i'm thinking
like fx i almost feel
like people forgot this by the way even though i know they probably didn't come
on man tuning out
the news we got two alums right here oh they wanted my ass for that show but
they couldn't have
me they couldn't afford eric they wanted you to play fucking
i went in with such a great aggressive uh negotiation tactics they fucking
like yeah hold it their fault they're bad that's eric's downfall in the
industry is
his negotiating style it's unfortunate million dollar bitch peel it back you
just you've watched too
much fucking leonardo di caprio movies or something oh it's leonardo di caprio's
birthday timothy
chalamet shouted that out on snl last night that was nice and before i get out
of here leo brother
can you imagine that would be us if we got to host that shit i'm shouting out
leo every chance i get
oh leonardo di caprio shout out he's this guy we're both actors whatever i need
to say this before i
know we we've moved on from the bear and i know um i think i i think i need to
get serious for a second
and um i've been just anyone who's listening please stop messaging fx networks
uh instagram
please sending them death threats trying to get us in season three look we we
yes we would love to be
in season three of course of course we would of course we've pitched them many
different storylines
that could bring our characters into sort of a eight to ten line scene in an
episode we've pitched story
arcs where it kind of takes like a fargo route where the carmy is not even the
the a part of season
three it's just kind of about us you know what i'm saying you remember the the
uh see what was it
the third episode of the of this first season of the apocalypse show about the
mushrooms with the gay
plot with ron swanson you're talking about the last of us the last of us so i
sent a similar thing
that's like look let's get a one let's get a single episode arc animated
adaptation of aladdin
essentially that's like this one episode animated in the bear where it's like
this is breaking the form
this is emotional and yet it's for kids yeah where the three of us are like in
the desert and we get
caught stealing some bread or something or maybe framed for it uh and then go
on a journey i don't
remember what aladdin fully is about but i know it's timeless and i know it
would work in that universe
because it's human right it would be the so one it would be incredible if we
were if we were to be a
larger role and yes we would take that offer instantly even though we have a
lot of different other
projects and things going on this next year especially in 2024 um yeah but
please stop the
death threats the message it hurts us more than it helps us the stars and
saying if you don't get
the fucking joy tacticians on there right the fuck now i'm gonna fucking and i
don't want to finish
that sentence but you know who you are who's who's saying that so we just don't
condone that type of
behavior we do not we we we quite frankly we don't want you listening to the
podcast if you're someone
like that but we do but on the flip side i do want to say i appreciate the
sentiment and i appreciate
the fans really sticking up for us like that because that because if we get a
whole movement of people
like if ever if look if we had 10 000 people sending sort of threats to fx
networks 10 000
demanding that they would have to do something you know right because that's 10
000 eyeballs i want
to see more of us no it's 20 000 eyeballs because everybody has two eyes well
don't
fucking say that because you don't know how many eyeballs everybody has you're
right you're right
my bad my bad my crenshaw but and i'll say i'm damn near condemn i'm damn near
condemning that type
of behavior i won't condemn it because i appreciate the love that it stems from
but i'm standing back
and stand by and i'll say i'm ready to move on like we played that character
for whatever you know right i'm like i'm i i was in that skin i loved it i love
being a part of it
and now i'm just ready to do new things i want to do more dramatic i want to do
even more comedic slapstick
i want to do chinese films where i oh yeah i want to do some government related
stuff please maybe not
a commercial for the government but speaking of government i do want to call
out i don't know much
about azerbaijan i'm politically you know eric be careful here no someone
commented that as the
azerbaijan government is fascist and i didn't know that and we keep jokingly
saying azerbaijan is awesome
if you're a fascist state you are not welcome in my fucking house except for
north
fucking korea i'm rocking with that place and i want to go why would you burn
his to everybody that
i don't know if i want to say this to everybody dude can we stop attacking
politicians for their
politi
