114: Agamemnon, Helen Keller, Buttigieg, Elements, Movies, Video Games, and Books

hello and welcome back to the information channel joy tactics today we are
discussing
the well-known concept of agamemnon uh we are going to be introduced to the
topic
by voice actor eric rayhill who is currently not using chat gpt to find out
what it is but
just thinking about how he's going to start it out welcome to joy tactics the
podcast dedicated to
all things joyful joyous and meeting as many celebrities as humanly possible
hosted by eric
rayhill babe veroni and jack bensinger enjoy eric agamemnon take it me and what
do you never heard
of this well i wanted to take a second to talk about before we started the
episode i thought
i was going to think oh we'll we'll gather together running away what the story
of agamemnon is
it's an amazing name uh it touches greek history and and even the you know greek
people even it even
touches the story of cladam and astro put it that way what is it dude what the
fuck is agamemnon
agamemnon what the hell is that like qanon from back is that ancient qanon qanon
agamemnon well it
honestly is giving me like it it's it this is so gross but it feels like it's
in the category of like
like now i'm not gonna even say it's one of the grossest things ever but it
feels gross
you know i'm saying what i wonder where you were going on that smegma it's it
feels like something
i'm like a smegma but that's how you held back on smegma after all the other
shit you dropped on this
pop that's a good point you know what where that's the line you know that's
where i draw the line you
know what word really fucks with me me mental and i hate hearing it when people
call the president
potus oh god man pot is a president of the united states don't fucking say that
some people don't
have time to fucking say that entire well string of words they were multi-syllabic
with it like me
because i could say it quick person that states right at which point i'm
advanced so what the
fuck is agamemnon bro who was agamemnon okay who he was the king of mycene or
sometimes argos depending
on the myth and the brother of menelaus whose wife helen was taken by paris of
troy sparking the trojan
war ring a bell now you guys are becoming more familiar oh the horse because
you remember that
trojan horse even though that might be something else okay so i could describe
act four of this play
because you saw it last night in the dance this is why it got brought up i got
it i saw a dance
interpretation of that last night me and jack at different times went to go see
our our our buddy jess's
wife yang dance in the martha graham um so this was the martha graham company
at the joist theater
of this story basically we went in basically martha graham she's an amazing one
of the most
amazing modern dancers of all time she's passed away what you want she's passed
away now but in the 50s
she did uh she choreographed uh retelling of of the story of cladamonestra who
is the wife of agamemnon
which we all know now nothing that you have described has like penetrated like
my brain
and i have like zero understanding of what this what this is what's it and why
you chose this to talk
yeah go all right ride with me for a second basically last night i found out
that i have a
major another major knowledge gap that blew my fucking mind what so we were
talking about uh
me and my two friends dan and joe were on the train talking about different
rest stops on the jersey
turnpike you got the grover cleveland and then you got john bon jovi why has he
got a rest stop he's
still around uh and then someone goes isn't there a helen keller one and then
we're saying is helen
keller from fucking new jersey it doesn't feel like those two things should
exist in the same
universe i thought she was from the plains well so she is from down south i can't
remember maybe
mississippi but i thought i was like that's not possible because she's was born
in like 1300 and died
when she was like 15. and that's when i was made aware water weird in new
jersey like water
worder worder worder worder isn't that the word that she said wooder
she didn't say any words no she did say words she said i am not dumb
right i remember that now well so what i was made aware of is that this
person was alive until 19th and she died in the 1960s right i thought this was
like a straight
up victorian era like really tail you thought she was european i thought so
maybe she was here in
like the 1600s rocking around with the willow trees before we had made our
independence but i didn't
realize that she was around to be made aware of i love lucy if she wanted to be
knowing about that
do you see what i'm saying she's hella around she maybe even saw the microwave
drop
not you know i'm saying you know what i mean she must have i mean she
definitely saw some crazy
shit so you both knew that she was i knew around i frankly knew and just
because i remember that
telling the telling of that story from class so vividly what story the story of
her uh
basically getting problems with being deaf and blind she flew in what problems
she flew an airplane
she spoke all over the world allegedly uh a lot of people think she didn't
exist i do because i
saw a video of her i've seen it too um and i can't believe i forgot she was
able to speak in the end
she had a great sentence that's like the big story is like she's like right
speak that's act one boom
and blackout right come then it comes up and she's not everything is store is
like a story like uh you
know a screen player by the way not to you man not do you man that's theater nate
that's theater
listen to the listen to the children of agamemnon we was married to clattam and
estra who we saw
portrayed last night didn't we jack uh and in the in the dance well but listen
remember in the dance
clattam and estra has killed that one person agamemnon yes clattam and estra clattam
and estra
has killed agamemnon and she's being haunted by his ghost i remember the ghost
in act four
which is the part that we saw last night about a 20 agamemnon was real was a
real person this is a
real person but i think some things were fictionalized at least in the dance
part especially when they
were fucking you know prancing around so what's the lesson here this is like
revenge like getting
revenge by murdering someone else's mom i had a dream last night that i shot my
brother in the head
not my actual brother but the brother that i had in my dream and then it was
crazy i won't get into it
but it was crazy well basically i was sad because now i was going to what what
i did is i blamed somebody
else for it see what i'm saying right that's the first mistake that was my
first mistake but i eventually
owned up to it and uh was forgiven of my sin dream analysis you manned up in
your dream i manned up in
my dream and i found out that that was the right thing to do
damn i need to man up should that be what we talk about today manning up well
we still haven't
fucking gotten to aphigenia electra and orestees just give me the give me the
just say as like i'm just
not understanding this eric say it as simply as you possibly can give me the
spark notes because
this is your specialty eric is summarizing eric is currently scrolling on chat
gpt it's like 40
paragraphs it is so long eric show the camera also this is what i want to ask
you eric if chat gpt
was a person what would they what would they say to you from your searches that
you they would say
stop stop leaning on me for emotional support you got this
and by the way we're using this as a joke right to show how bad it is
right we're getting close to the enemy so know thine enemy right people are
really using chat gpt
right even even trump actually to make crazy political decisions
i want to use it it just uh do you have a premium account eric yeah
because the shit that i'm putting in there the
shit i'm having to calculate is melting those nvidia chips like fucking
like like milk chocolate right in a microwave
what was it oh i was i feel like this would be so fun if you downloaded the
rocket money
app eric and just like you'd like to look at what where my shit's going how
much money you're
wasting on the monthly subscriptions you have every single monthly subscription
on planet earth like
there's like there's not there's not a single monthly subscription that you don't
have that call it
out see yeah i call one out and see if i have it okay let's see does uh well i
know this one just
because it i think it sparked the the whole subject but you were like a monthly
subscriber to strava
like not anymore i got that one you caught that one you canceled it there was a
time when i was using
that in the pandemic but it's been like years that you by the way this is what
we want for the
patreon we want people to forget about it and just right just keep it right
what the
fuck i'm subscribed to the fucking joy tactics fuck this shit man
uh what else shout out another subscription so see if i have it
by the way the hat still got the tag on if you if you're rocking the hat keep
the tag on jack
keep the tag i don't know why we haven't gotten too many fit pics yet but
because we want to see not
only the shirt but how you style that as well you tuck your boot cut with the
boot cut jeans
yeah you know what i mean we want to see what you're doing in it too right yard
work
yeah setting it on fire mortuary services
public speaking event
some sort of treaty if someone could just just even get near a treaty of some
sort in the in the
the hat or the a treaty or the sure treats this that's a free you get the shirt
you get the money
back if if you could get near some sort of treaty there's probably one in a
museum
well that is no an active like i'm saying like an active treaty that's being
you know actively
written right now if you could get near the the document like i don't know what
they write it in
a google doc or final draft not a draft but
maybe it has its own sort of documentation system treat x possible treat x
man so agamemnon is greek it's a tough one to go back to as the anchor for this
so yeah yeah
just give me just to the best of your knowledge eric give me because i i just
need to hear it again
to for it to soak in oh you want to hear the the break breakdown just say chat
gpt
i did it i already did it bro that's one that's the one sentence no it's not
what you can't by the
way if you try to start digesting giant topics and giant stories in one
sentence you lose out on a
lot of the color well all right you don't always have that luxury when you're
getting in the elevator
with judd apatow and he says log line or you're out all right all right all
right all right this is
this will take two seconds all right all right agamemnon king of men by the way
returned home from
the ashes of troy after that true i thought it was a chick up until now but
this is a fella he had a
wife named cladamnestra okay crowned in hollow glory uh at his side stood cassandra
sexy cassandra
cassandra the cursed prophetess she's got the 90s name everyone else spoil of
war that means she was
taken whose eyes saw the doom saw doom but whose tongue none believed as the
gates of mycenae opened with
smiles yet within its halls the gate with mycenae opened with smiles yet within
its halls lurks
silent vengeance cladamnestra queen and widow in spirit long before his return
right she was
fucking done with his ass welcomed her husband with honeyed words and hidden
blades the blood of
their daughter if a genia cried out from the earth and in the steam of his bath
agamemnon paid the final
price for the war he waged in the child he betrayed steel met flesh beneath the
guise of love and prophecy
came to pass i'm gonna be honest i stopped listening like just as soon as you
started talking like bro
like basically agamemnon it sounds like agamemnon fucked up in war if a genia
all right i'll tell you
right now ready i just used google.com all right the agamemnon is the story of
arrogance and the downfall
that see this is what i wanted you went to like the poetry of
