The History of Hip-Hop | Ep. 120

so um yeah
headache check who's got one i do brother yeah this is gonna be this is gonna
be a struggle
right you guys are just a body check-in real quick because i know your mental
is firing
on all cylinders as always but right sometimes the body can drag down the mind
well it's firing behind a wall of pain right right well guess what bean flicka
bensinger is up in los
angeles right now as a bean flicka just thought of that the bean flicka the
bean man welcome to joy
tactics the podcast dedicated to all things joyful joyous and meeting as many
celebrities as humanly
possible hosted by eric rayhill nate veroni and jack bensinger enjoy
no not sexually jesus why is that not in uh if i was speaking of on topic why
is that not in more
like you know music it's not like there's no there i mean there's got to be a
couple songs called the
bean flicka but or one or two but you never you never i mean that just feels
like a perfect chorus you
know flick oh my bean like that bean off the bean flicking the bean okay i mean
it's too easy all
right all right charlie can i come over flip and flick the bean i like i liked
where that came
where that ended musically that's related to what we're talking about today i'm
in front of like
capital record music oh what's this well it relates to the topic that we're
discussing today
imagine playing guitar like that oh get the fingernails and beginning to rap
after the guitar ends
oh my god don't tell me somebody's about that
oh
all right this is this is by
eric imagine me on a mission trip to t on a mission trip to tijuana
in fourth grade driving down listening to this on the cd play
what the fuck is this eric you listen to this growing up of course that's like
uh that's like
those youtube videos where they do like uh like if imagine if biggie smalls was
flapper music
that's like yeah yeah it's like that genre yeah that was a genre bending that's
crazy experience
that's amazing well he is from a group called dc talk which was a christian
rock superpower group
you remember dc talk horse of course remember jesus freak like one of the it
was when like there
was like wait christian music can be like cool you know and it was like sick
and christian as well
right yeah yeah that was the first time that christianity kind of tried to be
right break out of the
the the sort of i don't know old model of it just being like crotchety and you
wear a suit to church and
it's like nah nah nah actually we have sexy ass chicks but you can never touch
them unless you marry
them and we also have sexy ass men who sing and rap and uh we hope you like it
we hope you become
christian and if you don't you're going to hell bitch you can't touch them
before marriage that's a
hell nah man have you done that
not even a handshake i remember i remember wrestling with that so hard i'm like
fuck i have to get married
to 18 because i can't fucking hold the shit in anymore damn
about to explode there's so many christian dudes who that like that is their
main motivator was just
they want to get married just so they can you know bust you know look at the
pope look at the pope
what do you think he's holding out for right the afterlife just found out the
pope's against gay marriage
is that true oh did you hear this oh he's gonna regret that when i fucking get
down on one knee
right in front of his ass and say guess what you just missed out on coulda
shoulda coulda woulda
in another life
i hate to hear that
all oiled up in front of the pope oh my god you wish you could marry my ass but
you reject this
you reject this type of love but oiled up lecture in front of the pope yeah
dude that's right
and do it asmr style into his ears you know
do you think anyone changing his tune
do you think anybody in hell has ever been down there
and
gotten on their hands on like an arrow or a gun or something
and threw that shit all the way up to heaven
and hit somebody in the head
does anyone ever even conceive that
well it's funny that you still think that heaven is in the sky when actually
heaven is where you find it
you can find it here on earth with the right group of friends
i see what you mean but do you see what i'm saying
yeah yeah i mean
wouldn't that be a nice derail there but
that'd be a nice story
talk more on that eric i mean what does heaven mean to you
well here's heaven means to me interpretation you know
you know there are these two women that go and review restaurants and film
themselves talking and they're about in their 70s
and their names their their podcasting names are chips and salsa
cute and yeah i asked you what heaven means to you
that's heaven bro they found heaven by the way
that is that that was their entry into heaven
they're there they're having a great time
and uh that's what it was i mean
neither of you guys would ever do something cute like that with me
put it that way
how many milligrams of ibuprofen are you on right now
oh good question about 400
wow wow to the standard dosage
or no maybe two i took two pills
usually you do grams so just hearing milligrams
yeah full full
the one gram um
the one gram dab
ibuprofen challenge
ibuprofen dab
i'm sure that you can make there's like packets that you can put in your drink
you know it's like crushed up and you can
oh you can get that delivered through your into your blood
oh wow
gumming ibuprofen
look at you perverts trying to look at my fucking girlfriend
no one was gonna warn me that she was getting doxxed right here in the very
bottom corner of the screen
wow
i can't even see shit
i was like chameleon blending in with the
the background
chameleon
you know what i have to
i forgot to make this announcement but
i messaged nutbuster dc
so poach underground deep underground poetry has gone down
okay it's no longer
uh available
and i messaged
nutbuster dc and i said
bro like i really
dig your stuff like where can i find you
after you know this is closed down
right
and he emailed
me back
i have
i have his direct
contact
information
and i don't
i really don't know what to do with this
and this is like
getting into
such uncharted territory
and i don't know if we can
it's like that phrase
you never meet your idols
you never
i don't know if i want to
you know
if we really want to go down this route
by the way he is a very old man
i wouldn't i'm not getting you fly out to go meet him
where does he live
i would fly out
he might kill you
take him out to dinner
he might put something in that drink and kill you
i just am putting that out there
no i would bring the food
i would bring the raisin canes chicken over to him
take a picture with him
ask him not to not to speak
and just get out of there
take the picture for the pod
make him eat chicken fingers
eat this
eat this
it's good
do you think this could be his new platform
where he just reads poems
uh
direct
yeah i think we should get him to come on and read one
i think so
this is his new
because i mean
our
i would have to think that our audience is way bigger than
uh
his platform there
so he would get a boost in
viewership
right
and
uh
maybe it would you know
excite him a little bit to
do it in a live setting
you know
on a video
and i think he's easily excitable
right
i think so
i think he is
you think his full name is
you think his full name is nathaniel buster
no it's not
i know his full name actually
all right
and i'm not gonna dox him
i uh
but yeah
we just want to give the
the uh
listeners some hope
because uh
i know you guys are all crushed that
uh
deep underground poetry
has shuttered its doors
don't do it
i wonder if we could talk to the site administrator
and have it
be put
put back up again
but
uh
sponsored by joy tactics
i mean how much would that site cost
you know
i can't imagine that much dude
probably 16 a year
i bet it's 16 bucks a year
should we message the
it's probably
it's probably because like somebody's like credit card
that it was on
like got stolen
and they just like didn't update it or something
and they're just like you know what
like this is
this is like they were doing rocket money
and they just saw that
i'm still paying for deep underground poetry.com
to own that domain
like
i think it's time to go
and um
okay here's what she said
so the deep underground web mistress
left a message
and she said
deep underground poetry
was a poetry and creative writing community
founded in 1999
this website ran
at this address
from 2009 to 2025
i don't
there's no contact
uh
info though
i don't know how to contact the web mistress
if you're a hacker out there
get us in touch
please get us
in touch with the web mistress
so we can make an offer
and joy tactics
can once again
fuel creative expression
across the internet
venture capital funding
you know
we need to
we need to start using our
fucking
the patreon money
to
you know
we should have like a shark tank
sort of
style
right
invest in some
ventures
seven
four grand
in the worst businesses
ever
it's like
not even close to enough
to get anything off the ground
i'm down
i mean we have to do something
with our lives
i've been feeling this more and more
i need to fucking
do something with my life
that serves others
okay
to service others
isn't that glitching out for you jack
yeah but it's probably such a good point
yeah
hello
i feel like he's about to disappear
jack
jack jack
hello
he's top
oh
can you hear me
nope
hello
nope
nope
fucking great
well while nate's frozen
i'll just play this chameleon
what do you want to talk about
please
somebody brought you up
he just logged off
all right
so it's chameleonair
this is a song that our dear friend danny katlow put me on to
i maybe have played it on here before
this is true
featuring lil flip by chameleonair
and i think this
is one of the most perfect blendings of
yankee doodle era music and hip hop
oh i love this song
it's the almighty king cooper
commision at a color change
a lizard
the mixtape messiah
please stand for the ghetto national anthem
let's go
man forget what them boys is talking about
i'm true
i'm true
wow
wow
i mean literally
that's riding into 1776
revolutionary war
in the low rider
with the hydraulics
if you pulled up to the musket fight with hydraulics
and a fucking gat
people would
i don't know
that might end the war
if you
think about that
so if you went into fucking
the border of kiev
or ukraine and russia right now
right
with a vehicle that
that just stuns everybody
yeah
and say like i'm not with anyone
well you know you saw i show speed going to china
and he's doing the new drone style flying cars
yeah
imagine we get i show speed
aiden ross
we get fucking
destiny
in a white
destiny
the avon
we get them all
we get them all
on the flying cars
and army
and we have them
blasting chameleon air
coming into the battlefield
dropping into the soldiers
they have
happy dad
for everybody
a bunch of
fuckings in
everybody
drop your weapons
come in here
get a picture with us
get your goodies
and stop fighting now
bro we just said we're doing um
we're talking about rap now
finally dude
oh good
we're having a great time chatting about
and
and the power of rap
the power of music really
oh shit
what's that
is that an accident
is that sexual
that is i mean i'm sure
this is an internet based
uh podcast
and i'm sure everyone
who listens to this
knows viper
but viper is
gotta be my favorite
bro
he's good bro
i'm not kidding
viper is legit good
you know about viper
viper
of course dude
do you guys know
this song by viper
he has some good song titles
i remember
i mean bro
this is legit
this is some nate style
sexual jerky
in the studio apartment
no hd
no windows open
this is the flick the bean remix
uh
but i mean
we can't say that phrase ever again
no i think that has to stop
that needs to be shut down
yeah
but for those who don't know
viper
viper which is probably
oh shit he's arrested
oh hell no
i don't think he's doing
free viper
the last time i checked in on him
i remember he wasn't
doing so good
what happened
what did he do
i forget
but i don't
i don't think it's
i think whatever it is
i
