would you guys help me with something
who has
let's start that again sorry
sorry Nate go ahead you go ahead
I think yours is so good
please I was just gonna say
send this to somebody who has a
bad attitude
are you a herb
if you're listening to this you might
be a herb a mark
an ah a fed
you might just make people
feel unwell do you notice
people abandoning you
socially
do you notice people
not showing up to things
yeah
do waiters
look at you and
say please let me let somebody
else be the point person
right because I can't handle this
well guess
what this is bad news bears
this is fucked up to here but yeah
you might need an attitude adjustment
class
I think that this is the wake up call
to people
where they find out that they might
actually be the problem
it's not the people around them
it's not the fucking servers
and the blue collar people that are
making their lives
run it's them
so getting it's time to get a grip
turn around and
change your tude dude
it's time to change your tude
lose the tude dude
attitude check
alright will you guys help me with something real quick actually
yeah
so that is
what I'm saying
ready
so I have a
show coming up in Philly
I feel like you guys could help me with the promo real quick
right
we got a promo
so what's funny is
alright so
no different
what's it called
man please say
I actually don't know but it's
basically
I want to change the world
Jack Bessinger
I want to change the world
Jack Bessinger
I spelled my name wrong on SNL script recently
and that's how I spelled it
Jack Bessinger
okay
so Nate
well never mind
I think we kind of plugged it
yeah I'm doing a show in Philly
tickets in the show notes
next Sunday
tickets in the show notes
damn I dropped the ball so hard on that
I was going to have you guys play a dad and a son
who are looking for something to do this weekend
hey dad
I was wondering
I really want to do something this weekend
do you have any ideas
what could it be because we're short on money
and your mom passed away
what
what
hey guys I got a show in Philly this weekend
whoa
did I walk in on something
wait mom
where is mom at
she's been
she's gone
she's gone
oh my god
she's gone to heaven
and it's just you and me now
and you're going to have to start working
because I can't fucking get
I can barely get fucking the hours
you see what I'm saying
did you guys hear
huh
who are you
please just leave
we're having a conversation
my fault about that
but yeah
rest in peace
alright
that was a great show plug
wow that was a good skit
Odessa
Azayan
why would you say her name right now
because it just was
transported to me
I had no reason
I just have to say it
it was transported
sometimes I
how do you say her name
you heard me
Odessa
Azayan
Azayan
Azayan
Odessa
Azayan
does that mean
the Odyssey of Zion
can I just describe a moment
real quick that
Eric you thought
you were going to
this was going to slide past
because you were off
the last
episode
but you're not
you're definitely not
this is
this is a public
let's hear it
this is a moment
at the
at the gym
we were playing basketball
oh
oh my god
I've been telling people myself
to get it out
this is
oh
oh
and actually I wanted to
talk about something
so yeah
just say it
say it
we were playing
and by playing basketball
we weren't like
you know
playing a game
we were just kind of like
shooting around
just shooting the ball
into the hoop
you know
we don't really
have the skill to play
like an actual game
of basketball
so we were playing
just shooting the hoop
and there was just like
a stranger
who was doing the same thing
with us
and the ball
ricochets off the backboard
and Eric isn't looking
and it
kind of clobbers him
sort of in the head
and the shoulder
smacks me in the side of the head
in
on my ear
it was like a hard
like
smack
like I was
I didn't even
I had time to say
like watch out
but before
I even said that
it had
hit you
but your immediate reaction
was
sorry
you apologize
that was an involuntary
response
it's the most
humiliated
I've been
in a long time
I really felt like
why the fuck
did I just say sorry
and the guy
looked at me
the guy looked at me
with concern at first
because I had been
hitting the head
of the basketball
but then I saw
the respect
leaving his body
where he was like
yeah this guy
fucking deserved it
if he's saying
sorry for getting here
sorry
not even your fault
in any way
shape or form
sorry man
the other guy
should have said
sorry
I know
trust me
I know
but here's what
happened
here's what I
started thinking
about
I started
breaking it down
and I'm thinking
why would I feel
ashamed for
autonomous bodily
response
this is a response
that was built
in childhood
through
many different events
you see what I'm saying
sorry
apologizing ahead of time
sorry sorry
you can't beat
that out of someone
and in fact
beating it out of me
would do the opposite
I would start
cowering even more
so why would I feel
ashamed for something
that might
it's like
I have old
Windows XP software
that's firing off
Clippy
you know
whatever
right
it's like
that's an automatic
response
when are you gonna
upgrade your
emotional software
I can't
that's what this
episode is about
I'm too busy
time for an attitude
change
so Eric
why don't you try
some different
responses right now
poink
you get hit in the head
stop that
stop that
stop that
stop that
would have been
great
what else
fuck you
that's what you
should have said
yeah
hands up
ow man
what the hell
what in the hell
oof
or smack
what the
what was that
or how about this one
how about this
smack
yeah
yeah yeah yeah
so you thought
that could have
damaged me
interesting
well
cute
just even barely
hurt
another assassination
what about this one
smack
daddy
that would kind of
throw them off
a little bit
that so you'd be
doing a side dot
confused oh someone
typed in how many
times we've mentioned
pokemon on the
podcast it's like
a hundred episodes
what do you think
we mentioned more
pokemon or
harry potter
i think
or alcohol in
general
alcohol probably top
nate are you coming
over for super bowl
sunday
you realize that you
have to
to gain entry to the
party
you have to make
a dip
you realize
wow
okay
and it can't just be
younger and all
can it be store
bought
it can but i bet
you'll get some
shade
from the dip
judging committee
but if
if you must
what if i scoop it
out and put it
into a bowl
and nobody will
know
kind of make it
look like it's
homemade
i won't tell
anybody
you guys should
have a dip
off
that's what we're
doing
are you going to
rank the dip
yeah it's a dip
party
competition
but is it
are you ranking it
you know what i'm
saying there
oh yeah
that's awesome
well then that's
awesome
yo i can't wait
for the commercials
bro
the commercials
dude
oh man
that's why i watch
the super bowl
dude
it's for the
commercials
me too
we're getting so
psyched
for fucking
that's
that was
as a nice
duration
what's that
can't believe
we get
they've
they've trained
they've
they
have
psyoped us
into being
excited
to be
manipulated
by corporations
i know man
we're excited
for that
hmm
hmm
not me
i'm gonna be
watching fucking
green day
rocking out in
the beginning
and then i'm
gonna turn it
off
hmm
yeah
you guys hear
about the
turning point
halftime show
of course
say it again
the turning point
halftime show
of course
why are you
saying it
like that
starring kid
rock
why is it
called the
whoa
now slow down
there horsey
that was only
but a teaser
just a little
taste of what
i can only
assume is one
of the most
fire podcast
episodes ever
recorded
head over to
