tonight is tonight the final episode of that Seinfeld is it tonight tonight is
it tonight no
it ain't tonight if it were tonight nobody'd be here but you know it's
interesting Jerry Seinfeld
and his wacky gang over there Kramer and Newman and the wacky gang they're uh
canceled it's no
secret they were canceled okay and and so I started and I'm nothing if not a
statistician
and I and I started looking up with some figures and I said 10 years they've
been on 10 years the
Seinfeld uh you know how many shows they've done 180 110 years 180 180 and they're
going they're
going off the air and people people are miserable people are taking their own
lives 100 and Jerry
said he said you know I'm looking forward to doing nothing he said I'm just
going to take some time
off a lot of time off and he says I can't begin to tell you how much I'm
looking forward to doing
absolutely nothing after working for 10 years doing 180 shows
well listen to this Jerry you sissy
Paul and I me and Paul your TV buddies Paul and I right here and it's CBS so
that's like in dog's
years you know these aren't these aren't regular years these are like add
multiply by seven so five
years CBS years that would be 35 years Paul and I have been here five years
tomorrow night is our
one thousandth show yeah
Jerry your beloved Seinfeld your buddy Seinfeld does 180 and has to sit down
because he's winded
we've done a thousand shows and listen to this to help us celebrate our
thousandth show tomorrow night
about a month ago two months ago uh Johnny Depp phone and he said Dave I want
to help out I want to
celebrate he says I watch the show I enjoy it I want to salute I respect what
you and Paul do night in and
night out I would like to help you commemorate that 1000th show so tomorrow
night and the details of
this have been deliberately kept very very sketchy because we want to build the
intrigue and build the
suspense because when it happens tomorrow I'm telling you something ladies and
gentlemen all hell is going to
get lost to get lost loose here's what I can tell you Johnny Depp's people
phone me each day and they give me an
update what I can tell you Johnny Depp big-time TV star the Depper Johnny
Depp jam
out on 53rd street with a motorcycle a school bus and a ramp that's all I can
tell you
that's all I can tell you tomorrow night Johnny Depp to help celebrate our 1000th
show
the show so we'll be looking forward to that uh on the program this evening we
have uh
I just heard that tonight is your 1000th show here on CBS I had to come by and
say how happy I am for you I just want to give you a little something okay here
you go Paul
oh great all right thank you very much
CBS has canceled Sybil and Urkel's come and gone but one goofy late night talk
show host goes on and on and on
a thousand shows congratulations on a thousand shows you made us laugh oh big
Dave you made
us weep you made us glad that it was time to go to sleep oh a thousand shows
congratulations
congratulations to the late night man with guts you gave us Drew Barrymore
Dave you gave us a thousand hours of comedy with Mooji Bar and Sarah Jule your
mom and Rupert G
Paul Newman making a surprise appearance and Farrah Fawcett lapsing into incoherence
yeah
yeah
Marv Albert, right after his scandal, and way, way too much Tony Randall.
Thousands shows, and after all this time, it rarely blows.
Let's have a first class extravaganza for the greatest season star this side of
Tony Vanzo.
It's your tremendous, stupendous day.
You really stand on.
And you're one, one, zero, zero, zero, thousand stars.
Congratulations, Nick.
Thank you.
That was really something.
Man, that was darn nice of him.
That's some song.
You know.
Does it make any difference that it's tomorrow night, not tonight?
Did he know it's tomorrow night?
Tomorrow night.
Yeah.
Still and all, I appreciate the gesture that was darn nice.
Oh, yeah.
But it is.
It's actually tomorrow night.
Ladies and gentlemen, here is the old top ten list for tonight.
