yes sir okay coming up uh in the next half hour bianca jagger will be here and
uh the bangles
will be performing with our band and uh folks you know uh thursday is the last
day of the
broadcasting week here at late night but on friday friday you can still find
everyone hard at work
and most are here for one reason their sad personal lives leave them nowhere
else to go
but others who have the spirit join me on the streets of new york and here take
a look now
at what we did last friday hi well here it is friday in new york and that means
we're out on
the streets again and today we're close to the intersection of 40th street and
uh broadway you
know we've been doing these reports out on the streets for over four years and
uh every week
when we do these things the same thing happens about 10 30 10 45 everybody on
the crew starts
getting really hungry for hot dogs and we didn't have much of an idea for a
report today so we said
uh what the hell let's just screw the report we'll go right to nathan's and get
the dogs
okay we're inside of nathan's now this is brian mackaloon brian what do you do
on the show
i'm uh the second associate director and uh normally you're usually in charge
of the logistics of
picking up the hot dogs for us yes sir how does that work can i get uh 48 francs
please and 18 orders
of fries to go and i also need uh two of the soda containers with lids please
for the condiments
and one empty box for some sauerkraut please how is the veal today
very good very good i'd like the uh the veal oscar i believe
yeah well while we're waiting for this we can go over to the condiment counter
and get our condiment
so we're going to the condiment counter now now our first trick is to go to the
ketchup
get plenty of ketchup all right now the mustard now just a word here about the
relish let me show you the
relish see the can you see the color of that relish that looks like something
they might be cleaning up
at chernobyl so we stay away from this don't we we don't we don't do that we
don't go anywhere near
the relish okay now the sauerkraut is another choice sauerkraut it's the tubbo
kraut and we
okay we have the condiments we're ready to pick up our order and are we all set
okay go ahead where is this it
88 27 you don't ever go nuts and like handle the hot dogs before you load them
up do you
you know touch touch them
only in the roar uncooked states okay be careful brian okay all right 48 hot
dogs
that's it we'll go down here and we'll just uh we'll lead on the hood of a car
one of our cars speaking of cars there's one being stolen right now
so that's it now and now we're gonna eat lunch it's pretty simple how long the
whole thing take
uh it takes about 20 to 25 minutes yeah and now now we have a nice one a hot
dog ma'am
help yourself mustard yeah you want mustard on that okay enjoy that pardon me
