Ladies and gentlemen, here's our good friend, Paul Schaefer.
Paul Schaefer.
Thank you so much.
It's a thrill to be here.
You got a big show to do.
Hit it.
Well, come back to me.
I can wait.
But look at all of these people.
We can wait.
You have a big show.
We'll wait.
You have a big show.
Does that seem fair, Paul, that we have all of these people here and we'll wait
on them?
We will be glad to wait.
All right, we'll wait.
We are humble, humble musicians.
See, what a guy.
What a guy.
See that?
We'll be right back.
We'll be right back.
We'll be right back.
We'll be right back.

Yeah.
It's like a big deal.
Can we do the formal introduction now?
Please do.
From my far left on saxophone, Emilio Castillo.
Emilio.
Emilio Castillo.
Next to him, Mr. Richard Elliott.
Next to him, Stephen Dot Popka.
On trumpet, Mr. Lee Thornburg.
And Greg Adams, ladies and gentlemen.
How about it for the Tower of Power, Thorne?
Feel the Tower of Power.
Power of Power.
Sounds like the Colgate Comedy Hour.
It's a big, rich, full sound.
It sure is.
We are feeling the power of the Tower of Power.
When were these guys here last?
We were trying to decide this earlier today.
In May, oh, May 6th.
May 6th.
Is when they were here, yeah.
Nice to have you gentlemen back.
You sound terrific.
What do we got to do here, Paul,
before we roll this thing here?
I just want to say, this group of musicians right here
could beat up any other assemblage of music talent
anywhere in the world.
If I could...
And if I might say, we could whip the guns of Navarro.
That's right, Paul.
I just want to say, this group of musicians right here.
I want to say, this group of musicians right here.
I want to say, this group of musicians right here.
I want to say, this group of musicians right here.
I want to say, this group of musicians right here.

Now, here's what we'll do.
We'll start working clubs.
You, me, and the rest of the group.
You guys open up.
Maybe we'll get a magician or a hypnotist to open the show.
Then you guys come out.
It's SRO, baby.
It's SRO.
Yeah, you guys come out and do a tight 20 minutes.
And then I come out and do about an hour of really blue material.
Now you're talking.
Yeah!
That's a show.
SRO, standing room only.
You bet.
Water, drinks.
Tahoe.
We'll get us a bus.
We'll travel the country in a bus.
Now you're talking.
You betcha, buddy.
Band bus.
Um...
All right.
Well set.
Everybody ready?
Our next guests always sound terrific.
And it's a pleasure to have them back with us here tonight.
This is their brand new album.
It's entitled "Power."
And from tomorrow through Sunday, they will be performing at the bottom line
right here in New York City.
Folks, please welcome "Power of Power" with Paul and the Boys.

It's like a whole different show in here, isn't it, Paul?
Yes, it is.
This is just an example of our new club act.
When we come to your town, look for the flyers,
and you come down and see us.
We are feeling the power of the tower.
The tower of the tower.
I'll get somebody to write up a little specialty song
that we all do together at the end of the evening.
Okay.
That'd be nice.
I'm starting to work on it already.
Feel the power of the tower.
All right.
Good.
Our next guest is...
The Omni.
The Omni.
Yes.
Aye.
Jerry, nice to see you.
Thanks, Dave.
Thanks for being here.
Come back anytime.
Very funny, as always.
My thanks to the gentleman in the band,
the amazing power of power.
And, of course, Debbie Reynolds.
Tomorrow on the program,
Martin Short, Candace Bergen,
and Stevie Ray Framstein.
Good night, everybody.
All viewers and amateur shutterbugs
will be interested to know
that no trick photography was used
in tonight's telecast.
