last night i heard a ruckus down the road i had no time to lose but so away i
go
i saw the lights heard the trucks and all the old
blowing my wheels to check the show
dancing round round round
dancing round and down and round
dancing round round round
dancing round and down and round
i couldn't believe it so i circled back and left
pull up my engine and i walked right
and i left you grip it on a circle back and woo
It was a squirt ass like a rockin' rodeo
Turn it round, round, round, round
Turn it round, squirt ass
You go from down and down and round
Turn it round, fishing round, round, round
Turn it in, turn it in, turn it in, turn it in, turn it in, turn it in, turn it
in, turn it in, turn it in, turn it in, turn it in, turn it in, turn it in,

Turn it round, turn it round, turn it round
Woo-hoo!
Turn it round, steer it on up, go see go
Don't you let go, just reel and reel and reel
And rockin' a hole right back
Now, see the lip, that's up, go right, fall out
I take it from top, steer it on up
Say, let it go, that's a little longer
Hey, rip it on down, down, down, down
Down, down, down, down, down
Down, down, down, down, down
Down, down, down, down
Party to party till my feet went through the floor
I saw my partner till I quit to spit no more
Hell, man, let the rip it on up, circle back and dance
We rock the roll around, tell it again
Turn it round.
Oh, the next dance will be in Circus Square.

What part of Canada?
Edmonton, Alberta.
Edmonton, Alberta.
That's one of the Western provinces, isn't it?
And what kind of music is that?
What would you call that?
I call that torch and twine music.
Torch and twine.
Meaning what exactly?
Well, there's an influence of torch music there.
Ballad singing.
And twine, good old country and western.
Is country and western popular in Canada?
Yeah, about the same as it is here.
Is it any different?
Do they have their own version of things there?
Or is it pretty much the same thing?
There seems to be a sprouting of a new type of country there.
Yeah, yeah.
And Patsy Cline is a very important influence on your work?
Or very important to you personally?
Yeah, she's one of my biggest influences.
Yeah.
Definitely.
And you're trying to emulate some of what she was able to do?
Yeah.
And you're trying to emulate some of what she was able to do?
