- Let's run!
- Run!
- Hey, Joe, how you doing?
- Doing great.
Joe, it's awesome.
- Hello.
- Hello.
- Very nice.
Thanks, Sid.
Well, get out of there.
- What are you doing?
- Oh.
- What the hell is that, a song or something?
- I'm gonna say it's a bit of energy to put out
from just the first song.
- Nice going.
How you been?
- Just fine, David.
- When was the last time you were here?
Years and years ago?
- A couple of years back.
- Good to have you back.
And the album's doing very well.
- Yeah, the single's doing fantastic.
- Where do you live now?
- Santa Barbara.
- How long have you been there?
- A couple of years.
- And you have like a ranch?
- Well, not really, but I've been slowly building a house
and stages are different, like a guest house and everything.
- Oh yeah.
- And we have a couple of pigs.
- Pigs you have?
Pigs and these are pets or these are for profit?
- They're sort of out of range pets, if you get my point.
Because they do tend to hum a little.
- They do tend to hum?
- In the summer, yes.
- They hum?
- But I've found I'm mixing limestone amongst their other stuff.
You know, it utilizes it a little.
- Now, when you say they hum.
- Buzz.
- They buzz.
- English term, you know, for sort of honk a little.
- Oh, you have honking pigs?
- Well, of course, but I mean, you know, they smell.
Let's put it that way.
- Oh, they smell.
Look, it's Charlie the dog.
- Charlie don't smell.
- So when you say hum, that means they have an odor to them.
- Slightly, yes.
- I see, I thought you had musical pigs.
- Well, I would have had them on the show if we did.
- You were working with them up there.
Where did you get the pigs?
- They were actually a gift to my wife, from Jane Fonda,
who, you know, she used to work for Jane.
- Oh, that's very nice.
- Really, I thought the same at the time.
- Yeah, like the, was it a wedding gift?
- I think so, yeah, a subtle gift.
- And are you, you're finishing a nice long tour now?
Is that your coming?
- Really, for the last couple of years,
we've been working constantly.
So it's nice to sort of, I'm taking off for about a month.
- When will be your last engagement of the year
and of the decade?
- This is the show, I'm unwinding tonight.
- Oh man, what a way to end things.
- Oh, really?
Well, you know, I thought it was pretty decent
to balance it.
- Oh, you sounded terrific, I really appreciate it.
And you'll be going back to Santa Barbara soon?
- Yeah, David, it's a bit different.
It's very quiet there, but I like that.
- That's why you've been celebrating the holidays.
Great, nice to see you again.
- Good to see you.
- Sounded terrific.
Joe Cocker, ladies and gentlemen, and look.
Oh, dry cleaning, we're gonna have some dry cleaning.
