A brand new CD here called Hourglass, and it was delivered, delivered as a bonafide
hit.
Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome back to the program, James Taylor.
This land is a lovely green.
It reminds me of my own home.
Such children I've seldom seen, even in my own home.
The skies are bright and clean, they're just like my home.
Kind people as I've ever been, can't you take me back to my own home?
Jump up behind me, my love.
Jump up behind me.
Old land can bear us both.
Jump up behind me.
We follow the road till we reach the sea.
Jump up behind me.
We catch the tide and we set down a tree.
Jump up behind me.
I've been in this world a while, and I've seen a lot of country.
Many days and many miles, all various and sundry.
I had my way and I had my fun and I had my chance to run free.
Burnin' hot beneath the sun, freezing cold and windy.
Jump up behind me.
Jump up behind me, my love.
Jump up behind me.
Old land can bear us both.
Jump up behind me.
We follow the road till we reach the sea.
Jump up behind me.
We catch the tide and we'll set down a tree.
Jump up.
Jump up behind me.
Jump up behind me.
Love and love alone.
Truth alone now.
I jumped out of a dream last night, and I thought I was back in my old home.
Mom and Dad were both still alive, and the babies not get born at all.
It felt like a festival, and it felt like a Christmas morning.
I felt the darkness fall away, even though the world was turnin' on.
I said even though the world was turnin' on.
I said even though the world was turnin' on.
I said even though the world was turnin' on.
I said even though the world was turnin' on.
I said even though the world was turnin' on.
I said even though the world was turnin' on.
I said even though the world was turnin' on.
I said even though the world was turnin' on.
I said even though the world was turnin' on.
I said even though the world was turnin' on.
I said even though the world was turnin' on.
The world was turnin' on.
I said even though the world was turnin' on.
I said even though the world was turnin' on.
