didn't get a chance to tell you this and uh it's late it's midnight i'm driving
home i come to an
intersection it's pitch black but there's still some traffic in the middle of
the intersection
is a guy walking around from car to car with what do you think take a guess
could be anything
right pants down i don't know no what is no but a really good guess thank you

insignificant no i'm sorry what

with his pants down
the audience wants to hear okay what was it it was a guy with his pants down
no no what was it it was a guy with a fire extinguisher what was he doing
exactly my question
what i don't i don't know what time was this it was midnight and there's a guy

they tried too hard and they smile too much i admit that i've done it too
how can you blame us for acting like fools hanging around like we do
when everything you touch shines a little brighter everything you say sounds so
bad
every time we go away every time we leave i feel a little lighter
tell me how can i make you mine well i wish i knew what i could do
to stand out from the crowd
yes
yes
yes
yes
yes
to be the one that you reach out to
and put your arms around
and put your arms around
how can you blame me for wanting to be
you blame me for wanting to be the only one
one that you see
one that you see
one that you see
one that you see
with everything you touch
shines a little brighter
you say
you say
sound so fine
every time we leave i feel a little lighter
tell me how can i make you mine
touch me
touch me baby
it would feel so good
kiss me baby
of course i know it would
love me baby

I hope someday I'll wake up and see the one you're holding is me.
It's a new writer, you say, comes out right.
Every time we meet up here, lighter, lighter, lighter.
Tell me how can I make you mine tonight?
Cause everything, everything, everything, everything you say sounds so fine.
Every time, every time, every time, every time.
Tell me how can I make you mine?
Tell me how can I make you mine?
Tell me how can I make you mine tonight?
Tell me how can I make you mine tonight?
Tell me how can I make you mine tonight?
Tell me how can I make you mine tonight?
Tell me how can I make you mine tonight?
Tell me how can I make you mine tonight?
Tell me how can I make you mine tonight?
Tell me how can I make you mine tonight?
Tell me how can I make you mine tonight?
Tell me how can I make you mine tonight?
Tell me how can I make you mine tonight?
Tell me how can I make you mine tonight?
Tell me how can I make you mine tonight?
Tell me how can I make you mine tonight?
Tell me how can I make you mine tonight?
Tell me how can I make you mine tonight?
Tell me how can I make you mine tonight?
Tell me how can I make you mine tonight?
Hey!
Nice job!
Welcome to Robinson.
Man, that sounds good.
I want to throw a card through the window.
Oh, of course you do, son.
Yeah!
Man, I really was very impressed with that.
I like the way that sounds.
Thank you very much.
I got to tell you one more thing.
Yeah.
He was Paul Bunyan's bartender.
He was Paul Bunyan's bartender.
Yes.
That's the punchline of a joke.
Yes.
Yes.
And Paul likes scotch and soda.
Right.
So that was why he was walking around at 12 o'clock midnight with the fire
extinguisher.
Oh!
Oh!
There you go.
Man, I appreciate that.
You don't...
This...
A guest who helps write material for the show.
Man!
Not only does he come out and perform, he has a punchline to the setup.
Very nice.
You'll get honorable mention for that.
Oh, very good.
Darn nice of you.
You know, that song reminds me of a period in my life when I was spending a lot
of time
driving south on the San Diego freeway.
Great.
Yeah, it was a very nice...
Where were you going, David?
None of your business.
Oh.
I've been there.
It's not a mission.
I've been there.
Now, this is not the miracles that you have with you here.
Hey, man, but I'll tell you something.
That was one of the greatest thrills I've ever had in my life because I have...
Paul, I mean, he's tremendous.
It did.
Everything sounded very nice.
And I've always wanted to play with these guys.
So...
That was really...
And this guy right here, he's my conductor and arranger.
Nice job, gentlemen.
Sonny Burke.
Sonny, nice to have you here.
So, are you out to tour?
Are you out working?
What else are you doing?
Well, actually, I'm out...
There's like a two-fold thing happening here because my new album was just
released.
And it's...
That's this one, right?
Yeah.
There you go.
Yeah.
And also, inside of each album and each cassette and each CD, there is a scent
strip for a new
perfume, a new scent for ladies that I have out, and it's called Smoke.
Smoke.
Yeah.
A woman's fragrance created by Smokey Robinson.
Now, what do you know about making perfume, Smokey?
I don't know where they came up with that name, but...
What'd you say?
I said, what do you know about making perfume?
I wish my name was Smokey.
Hey, you know, I know a lot about it now, man.
Because, uh...
I don't know much about making tops that go in there, but...
Smoke.
Now, this is not like that liquid smoke you can use on barbecues, is it?
I don't know.
Now, that might be a...
I don't know.
But this is for women.
Yes, for women.
It smells very nice.
Now, do you think you'll sell any of this?
I hope so.
It's just that, you know, I mean, it's...
Well, good luck to you.
I hope it...
Yeah, yeah.
I know...
So you buy the album, you get a hint of what it smells like, and then you go
out and buy
it.
Absolutely.
And are you going to be touring?
Are you going to be appearing live places?
Oh, yeah.
Yeah.
Pretty soon, I will be, in fact.
But right now, I'm just going around and...
Concentrating on that perfume.
Not necessarily, because the album is like the main focal point here.
Yeah.
We've been having, like, album parties.
Yeah.
And it's been really great, man.
Do you have a car question?
A what?
A car question.
A car question.
I'm going to bring out the car guy, and if you have a question, I'll ask him.
A car question?
Okay, very good.
I do have a car question.
Smokey Robinson, ladies.
How come my car is always in the shop?
All right, good.
We'll ask him.
Thank you, Dr. Bob Cirullo.
