Our next guest is a wonderful, wonderful singer, songwriter, and a favorite
around here.
A filmed concert of her most recent work, Other Voices, Other Rooms, has just
been released
on home video.
Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome, Nancy Griffith.
Nancy.
The name she gave was Caroline, Daughter of a man, and her ways were free, but
the same
The sunshine walked beside her.
She came expensive across the hill to separate parts into her.
As the cold was low, as soon the snow would turn the skies to winter.
The times were horrible, and the jobs were few, all through the Tecumseh Valley.
The times were horrible, and the jobs were few, all through the Tecumseh Valley.
The jobs were few, all through the Tecumseh Valley.
And the jobs were few, all through the Tecumseh Valley.
So she danced around, and the jobs she found in her bar.
A gypsy Sally.
She saved enough to get back home, when spring replaced the winter.
But her dreams were denied, but her dreams were denied.
But Paul had died.
The world would come down for Spencer.
The world would come down for Spencer.
The world would come down for Spencer.
So she turned to Warren, out on the streets, with all the lust inside her.
That it was many a man, returned again, to lay himself beside her.
Now they found her down, beneath the stairs.
Left the gypsy Sally.
In her hand when she died, there was an oath to cry.
Fed away, Tecumseh Valley.
The name she gave, was Caroline.
She was the daughter, of a miner.
And her wings were free.
And her wings were free.
Oh, it seemed to me.
The sunshine, walked beside her.
Oh, it seemed to me.
Oh, it seemed to me.
The sunshine, walked beside her.
Oh, it seemed to me.
The sunshine, walked beside her.
Oh, it seemed to me.
The sunshine, walked beside her.
Oh, it seemed to me.
The sunshine, walked beside her.
Oh, it seemed to me.
The sunshine, walked beside her.
Oh, it seemed to me.
The sunshine, walked beside her.
Oh, it seemed to me.
The sunshine, walked beside her.
Oh, it seemed to me.
The sunshine, walked beside her.
Oh, it seemed to me.
The sunshine, walked beside her.
Oh, it seemed to me.
The sunshine, walked beside her.
Oh, it seemed to me.
The sunshine, walked beside her.
Oh, it seemed to me.
Nancy Griffith.
