Hi there. Our next guests are an Irish group who have a very successful album
right now entitled
The People, and they're going to be doing a song that's a particular favorite
of ours here at the
station tonight. Making their network television debut, please welcome Hothouse
Flowers. Kids!
Yeah, the smell of fresh cut grass and it's filling up my senses and the sun is
shining down, the blossoms, the avenue, there's a buzzer flying around the moon,
girls, and the daisies, there's a lot more love, yeah, enough to me.
So go, don't let me out, out, out, while the sun's smiling, I'm sitting around
the way.
And I'm lying warm on the sun, sandy beaches in my, my toes are submerged in
the water, it feels good.
With children playing, building castles in the shoreline, like I'm getting
their love, love, it feels so bad, oh, no, no, no, no, no, while the sun's
smiling, I'm sitting around the way.
And this white horses, they're coming at me at a pace now.
There's a blue Sirocco going warm into my face, and the sun is sparkling on the
other side of the bridges, and the cars going by with smiles on the windows,
there's a black Cadillac, and the shadow of a gatepost, and the black Cadillac,
and the shadow of a gatepost, and the black Cadillac, and the shadow of a gatepost,
and the black Cadillac, and the shadow of a gatepost, and the black Cadillac,
and the shadow of a gatepost, and the black Cadillac tells me, look, there's a
way no more.
Oh, no, no, no, no, no, no, no.
Oh, no, no, no, no, no, no.
Oh, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no.
Oh, no, no, no, no, no, no, no.
Oh, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no.
