The Elite Models Remote Collection on Letterman, 1990-92

.
Thank you very much.
Welcome back.
Now, Rose, I didn't mean pack of lies if it said good things about you.
I meant if you said good things about me that it was a pack of lies.
You understand that?
What is the circulation of this thing, by the way?
Twelve.
Twelve.
Well, there's a break for us.
Monday on the show, kids, listen to this.
Jot this down on your TV guide.
Monday, Shelley Long will be on the program.
And, of course, Hothouse Flowers.
They are so fabulous.
Man alive.
Try and touch them.
Are they around?
We haven't heard from them in a while.
Not in some time.
When's the last time they were here?
I think when this show was originally played, yes.
And also, Terry Gilliam, formerly of Monty Python's Flying Circus.
That'll be Monday.
Did some of the audience go home?
There's about eight people left up there doing what they can.
God bless them.
Gotta keep it moving, I know.
Because we're right on time.
Not long ago, I was sitting around with nothing to do.
When it suddenly hit me, why not hop in a cab and spend the entire day in New
York City's
fascinating plant and flower district.
So, after a long nap, I was on my way.
Well, you know, it's such a lousy day.
It's the middle of January.
It's cold.
It's drizzly.
It's dreary.
So, what we thought we would do today is take you on a tour of New York City's
fabled plant district.
We're gonna be here all day.
We're gonna go inside here to park plants and start looking at some of the many,
many wonderful plants.
Come on with us.
Okay, we're inside now.
And this is Mike.
Mike, tell us how many different plants you have here.
About 35 plants.
35 different kinds of plants.
You know, excuse me for a second.
If you don't mind, I think I'm gonna try something else today.
No problem.
I'm sorry.
It's not you, Mike.
You're great.
You're terrific.
Nice shirt, by the way.
Here's what I think we'll do instead.
You know, I've always had a real interest in the world of big time professional
modeling.
So, this is the elite modeling agency here in Manhattan.
And we're just gonna spend the day, you know, with some models.
Try to get the feel for that.
We'll do that plant thing another day.
Hi.
Okay, let's go.
Hi.
Kristen.
Nice to see you.
And you're Arlene.
Good.
Nice to see you.
And you're Kristen as well.
And you're Melody.
Melanie or Melanie?
Melanie.
Well, we're looking forward to a lovely afternoon.
It's gonna be a lot of fun, won't it?
Yeah.
Great.
If the nightingales could sing like you.
Sing much sweeter than they do.
Cause you brought a new kind of love to me.
But if this old man brought me through to you.
I'd wanna sleep my whole life through.
You brought a new kind of love to me.
I know that I'm the slave.
You were the queen.
Still you can't understand.
Still you can't understand.
That underneath it all.
You're amazing.
Well, we're now.
I would work and slay.
The whole day through.
If I could hurry home to you.
You brought a new kind of love to me.
You brought a new kind of love to me.
You brought a new kind of love to me.
You brought a new kind of love to me.
You brought a new kind of love to me.
You brought a new kind of love to me.
I know that I'm the slave.
You're the queen.
Still you can't understand.
That underneath it all.
You are a maid.
And I am only a man.
I would work and slay.
The whole day through.
You brought a new kind of love.
You brought a new kind of love.
You brought a new kind of love.
You brought a new kind of love.
You brought a new kind of love.
You brought a new kind of love to me.
You brought a new kind of love to me.
You brought a new kind of love to me.
You brought a new kind of love to me.
You brought a new kind of love to me.
You brought a new kind of love to me.
You brought a new kind of love to me.
You brought a new kind of love to me.
You brought a new kind of love to me.
You brought a new kind of love to me.
You brought a new kind of love to me.
You brought a new kind of love to me.
It's my kind of love to me.
You brought a new kind of love to me.
How we doing?
Hi, how are ya?
You know, some nights you just like to start the whole thing over.
But you can't.
You do it.
You get one chance.
You do it and you go home.
I think it's a lovely show so far.
A trumpet?
Could you play a trumpet?
No.
What about a trombone?
Yeah.
A little bit.
Well, now, what's the difference between a trumpet and a trombone?
There's no difference.
But you can't play a trumpet?
I don't know.
I don't know why.
Oh, have a seat, will ya?
Alright.
Can you play it sitting down?
Yes.
Okay, here we go.
Coming up in the next half hour, or this half hour.
Geez, if it were the next half hour, we'd be on for 90 minutes.
So, in this half hour, it's Barry White and Billy Connolly from Scotland.
Monday on the show, oh man, another good show.
Rob Reiner and comedian Rich Scheidner.
And we have a five-year-old fisherman, Bubba Kelb.
Kelb.
That's right.
This show is about six years old.
You know, ladies and gentlemen, usually, usually on my day off, I like to eat
chili until I get goofy and then fall asleep on the porch.
But recently...
Recently, I decided to do something more constructive, and that was spend the
entire afternoon in a hardware store.
Watch.
Well, I don't need to tell you that America is in the middle of the biggest do-it-yourself
craze ever.
And we're at the intersection of East 20th and 3rd Avenue here in Manhattan,
better known as the Hardware District, out in front of Warshaw Hardware and Plumbing.
And we're going to go inside today because they're having one of their plumbing
lectures.
We're going to learn everything we can about home plumbing.
Come on.
This is a street elbow.
It's got threads inside and outside on it.
This is used where you would have a regular elbow and you don't have the room
for an elbow plus an extra pipe.
Excuse me a second.
Excuse me a second.
This may not be for me.
I'm sorry.
It's not that it isn't fascinating, but I think maybe I'll try something else
today.
You were great, by the way.
Thank you.
Okay, so here's what I had in mind.
Get a convertible and fill it full of lovely professional models from the Elite
Modeling Agency here.
Take off.
Spend the day at the beach.
What do you think?
We can do that plumbing thing another day.
Let's see if they're ready.
Oh, hi.
Nice to see you.
Oh, goodness.
How prompt.
Here, let me get the door for you.
Thanks.
I thought we'd go to the beach today.
Is that all right?
Perfect.
Nice to see you.
Careful getting in.
Okay.
Hi.
How are you?
Good.
Is everyone ready?
Yes.
Oh, good.
Here we go.
It seems we stood and talked like this before.
We looked at each other in the same way then.
We looked at each other in the same way.
We looked at each other in the same way.

We looked at each other in the same way.
We looked at each other in the same way.
We looked at each other in the same way.
We looked at each other in the same way.
We looked at each other in the same way.
We looked at each other in the same way.

We looked at each other in the same way.
We looked at each other in the same way.
We looked at each other in the same way.
We looked at each other in the same way.
Some things that happened for the first time
Seemed to be happening again.
And so it seems that we have met before.
And then we laughed before.
And then we loved before.
But who knows?
Who knows where?
Who knows where?
It was kind of cute, wasn't it?
Okay.
We'll be at another commercial.
We'll be back with Barry White.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Thank you very much.
All right.
Welcome back to the program.
Mario Joyner is here.
Penelope Ann Miller will be here.

Penelope Ann Miller will be here.
And we have four-year-olds from the Chinatown Head Start program.
Doing a little excerpt from their Christmas presentation.
Monday we will not be on.
It's Christmas Eve and there will be midnight mass.
I think they should have that on every Monday night.
Instead of us.
Midnight mass.
You know, it's almost Christmas and we decided, since we're this close to the
wonderful time
of year, it'd be a good opportunity to go out onto the streets of New York and
visit
with the youngsters and find out just exactly what it was they wanted for
Christmas.
Please watch and enjoy this.
What's your name?
What do you want for Christmas?
Have you talked to Sandy yet about Christmas?
Do you want a bicycle?
He's a little shy, I think.
What do you want for Christmas, Sandy?
A dirt bike.
What kind?
Well, the Suzuki 125cc.
Yeah.
Is this going to be on the news?
What's your name, honey?
What's the ma
