Ladies and gentlemen, you're in luck because tonight, right here on The Late
Show on CBS, it's Cast Reunion Night.
Yes, sir. Cast Reunion Night.
So you see, all night long, we're going to be reuniting casts of very popular
television programs.
Now, our first show that we're going to reunite the cast of here tonight
debuted right here on CBS back in March of 1982.
Its groundbreaking portrayal of two female police detectives won the actresses
six Emmy Awards during the show's six-year run.
Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome the stars of Cagney and Lacey, Sharon Gless,
and Tyne Daly.
Folks, come on!
Nice to see you again.
Thank you, Sharon Gless.
Here they are.
Sharon Gless, Tyne Daly.
Thank you, Lacey.
God bless you.
Bye-bye.
There, there you go.
All night long, we're going to be reuniting the casts of very, very popular
television programs.
Let's try to put that ugliness behind us, ladies and gentlemen, because once
again, it's time for another Cast Reunion.
Here we go!
I'm very excited about this one.
This next show captured the spirit of a generation.
In each heartwarming and hilarious episode, these lovable folks from Milwaukee
taught us that the 50s were more than just sock hops and hula hoops.
That's right, they were a time of America's lost innocence.
Richie, Potsy, Ralph Malf, Mr. and Mrs. C, Al, Joni, the Fonz, they're all here.
Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome the cast of Happy Days.
- Hey!
- That's great, hi, hi, hold it, hold it, hold it, hold it.
- Wait a minute, wait a minute.
Where, where is Fonzie?
- Ladies and gentlemen, the Fonz.
- Oh my God, where?
- Hey, yeah!
- Thank you very much.
- Cast reunion night here on The Late Show.
We're gonna do a commercial.
We'll be right back with Sam Donaldson.
Nice to see you, folks.
- We'll be right back with Sam Donaldson.
We'll be right back with Sam Donaldson.
We'll be right back with Sam Donaldson.
We'll be right back with Sam Donaldson.
- We'll be right back with Sam Donaldson.
- We'll be right back with Sam Donaldson.
- We'll be right back with Sam Donaldson.
- We'll be right back with Sam Donaldson.
- We'll be right back with Sam Donaldson.
- We'll be right back with Sam Donaldson.
- We'll be right back with Sam Donaldson.
- We'll be right back with Sam Donaldson.
- We'll be right back with Sam Donaldson.
- We'll be right back with Sam Donaldson.
- We'll be right back with Sam Donaldson.
- We'll be right back with Sam Donaldson.
- We'll be right back with Sam Donaldson.
- How do you do ladies and gentlemen, nice to see you.
Thank you for joining us tonight.
Welcome back to the program.
From ABC News, Sam Donaldson is here.
The multi-talented and always lovely Lily Tomlin is here.
And the Jesus and Mary Chain, great rock and roll music.
And if you're just joining us all night long,
it's a cast reunion night here on The Late Show.
Matter what, have you.
Okay, let's do another one.
What?
I wasn't gonna do another one, but when I heard the music,
I said, okay, let's go ahead and do another one.
- I went with the graphic.
- Okay, here we go.
What happens when a Chicago businessman
gets transferred to Hawaii?
Well, Americans couldn't wait to find out every Tuesday night
from 1971 to 1983, as they gather
and they gathered around their TV sets
to watch everyone's favorite situation comedy.
That's right, I'm talking about Aloha Louie.
Hal, roll a few minutes of that great show, Aloha Louie.
Here we go.
This should bring back some memories.
- Where are we gonna find someone dumb enough
to buy a house next to a live volcano?
- Aloha.
- Louie.
- He would crack me up when he would do that.
So here they are, Kalani, Kayla, Malia,
the Keone Twins, Louie, and of course, Tiki Joe.
Here they go.
- Aloha, ala, ala!
Hey, hey, hey, hey!
Where, where's Tiki Joe?
- Ladies and gentlemen, Tiki Joe.
- Yay!
- Yay!
All in, all in! Hey, hey, hey! Where's Tiki Joe? Ladies and gentlemen, Tiki Joe!
Torches and grass skirts, always a good idea. Yes, indeed. In fact, that was my
favorite
episode of Aloha Louie. What was that episode? Yeah, torches and grass skirts.
Where's Tiki
Joe? Lily Tomlin will be out here in a couple of minutes, and also a great rock
and roll
band, The Jesus and Mary Chain. Tomorrow on the program, Terry Bradshaw from
Fox Sports.
Yes, indeed. The biggest. Fox Sports. Also, NXS will be on the program tomorrow.
Great
show tomorrow night. Okay, get up real close to the TV, kids, because it's time
for another
cast reunion. Yeah. All right. This next show appeared on NBC from February of
1982 to June
of 1993, featuring segments such as Stupid Pet Tricks and regular visits from
Larry Bud
Melman. Unfortunately, NBC would not allow us to show a clip of this program.
Ladies and
gentlemen, please welcome the cast of Late Night with David Letterman. David
Letterman and Paul
Schaefer, here they are. Get out. Get out. Get out. Get out. Beat it!
Just between you and me, Dave don't look so good.
And me? I think Dave may be drinking again. The years have not been kind to
Dave. We've got
to do a commercial. When we come back, Lily Tomlin will be here, folks. Come on,
Dave.
Ladies and gentlemen, we're nearly out of time here. I want to thank the Jesus
and Mary
chain, and also Hope Sandoval, Lily Tomlin, Sam Donaldson, and let's see,
tomorrow in excess,
Terry Bradshaw. And by the way, a special thanks to Sharon Glass and Tyne Daly.
You can look
for them in the TV movie Cagney and Lacey, The Return on CBS Sunday, November 6th.
Ladies and gentlemen,
it's time for another cast reunion. That's right. You know, this next show wasn't
really about the
game of basketball. It was about the game of life. From 1978 to 1981 on CBS, we
cherish the relationship
between Stern but sympathetic Coach Reeves and his band of tough inner-city
ballplayers. Ladies and
gentlemen, please welcome the cast of The White Shadow. Here they are.
Good night, everybody.
Good night, everybody.
