Bob Helps a Caller with Bullies and Reminds Us There’s More Good Than Bad in the World | Bob Saget

you know these days it seems like people are putting cbd in everything there's
a lot of noise
right i hear it all the time i make the voices stop but there's one company
from vermont that's
worth the hype and it's sunsoil s-u-n-s-o-i-l they make a couple products that
i actually enjoy
and my wife enjoys them because they're just they relax you it's not you know
you're not getting a
buzz from this thing no psychoactive effects or anything they're cbd drops they're
made of
organic hemp and organic coconut oil and natural flavors they got cinnamon and
that contains 20
milligrams of cbd per one milliliter serving sunsoil makes cbd oil that is usda
certified organic cbd is
made from hemp plants you know that right so how the hemp is grown really
matters and sunsoil farms
their hemp in vermont and they never use pesticides herbicides or gmos and they
have simple ingredients
i try to be mindful about what i'm putting in my body and that's why i love
that sunsoil is made
from simple ingredients that i can pronounce and many of their products contain
coconut oil and hemp and
that's it and they've got fair prices because sunsoil farms their hemp and
makes their cbd oil in-house
their prices are less than half the price of other brands so you get organic cbd
at an unbeatable
price so i think i've summed it up sunsoil makes cbd oil with simple organic
ingredients and now you can
get 30 off your first order by going to sunsoil.com bob that's sunsoil s-u-n-s-o-i-l
dot com slash bob b-o-b
for 30 off your first order i'm going to say it again because why not sunsoil.com
bob enjoy
hi everybody bob here yeah bob my mom used to call me bobby used to drive me
crazy she'd go bobby
wake up bobby it's like a ghost but um but she is now and i still hear her
which means she must be
around so i must believe in ghosts but uh robert was another name i was called
you know my ex-father-in-law
called me robert used to drive me crazy but now bill burr calls me robert just
to infuriate me so
not i'm embracing my name now saget i don't know what i can do i'm stuck with
it it's not a stage
name you don't pick that one but it's my dad's name so i take it uh with you
know it's an honor i
love my dad or miss him anyway wanted to start off with talking about my
parents who aren't alive uh and
i get to call people now that's this episode of bob saget's here for you i will
be calling people that
have left messages because i announce on twitter and on instagram stories and
on facebook that i'll
be calling people and you guys have been kind enough to leave messages and see
what's on your mind
see if i can help you in any way maybe you just want to talk to me uh which is
obviously the case
and we'll see if you guys are there when i call because you know people have
lives even though
they can't go too many places right now some people are some people are just
you know at rallies with
10 000 people just breathing each other's phlegm but that you know that's okay
phlegm between
strangers i mean that's where we're at and that's just awesome uh so uh what
else can i tell you you
want to uh rate review and subscribe or follow depending on how you get your
podcast and it's an easy
thing to do and give me a nice rating it's always nice we're also on the
youtube page which is youtube.com
slash bob saget i'm gonna call a guy named uh jeff it says he used to be a
radio host and he's
wondering about the bygone years of radio so that's gonna that's gonna feel
nostalgic um
let's see what happens he's he's concerned um i don't know much else but he's
concerned about what
happened because they've changed hello hey jeff bob saget here how you doing i'm
doing good bob i'm
doing good too thanks for picking up not a problem bob always want to talk to
you oh that's sweet that's
nice it says here in my notes that you used to be a radio host that is correct
i was uh a dj and stuff
for like about 15 16 years and what city are you in i am right now am in a
little town called series
california which is right next to modesto are you doing okay are you guys what's
going on fire wise
well uh the air has been pretty bad around here we've had the unhealthy air for
a few weeks i know
last week i mean the uh the aqi only goes up to 500 but one day we were at 549
and we've had you know
ash falling and yesterday i had to mow my lawns and i had to wear a mask
because uh there was still ash
coming down that's so scary and and what kind of mask was like a regular m95 or
do you wear
even more of a mask because i would imagine people are getting the real
sophisticated ones with the
filters in them and stuff well i have i have one with the filter in it and i
actually my wife and i
have a box of of masks we keep them in our glove compartment of our cars and in
case we see somebody
who doesn't have one we'll just give it to them that's nice of you because they're
and do they
take them or are they mass deniers are they uh oh no no no if someone doesn't
have a mask i mean i'll
they're usually pretty cool about it and i'll just say hey if you need a mask i've
got an extra one here
and i give it to them so uh they're they're very nice about it at least the
people that i've run
it right across now you're a good man and you're running into good people
apparently not with your car but
uh with the mask so i'm so sorry man you can't even breathe it's like i'm down
in la and we've got some
aftermath and i hear we're going to get more uh as the winds bring it down but
are they making any
progress and putting it out you know uh the creek fire which i believe is the
one closest to us up here
in northern california they're saying they may not have that one out until the
middle of october i mean
it's just some pretty rugged terrain and the fire crews are are very spread out
simply because um
you know there's so many fires and there's really not a lot you can do there's
nothing you can do and
uh raking the far is not to get political but that sounds like sending a bunch
of kids out with plastic
bags it's not even a viable thing when you're talking about a million acres of
land correct
no it really isn't i mean it's kind of insane it's an insane thought it really
is insane and especially
today when he said that the trees just explode it's like uh yeah all right yeah
no i mean
yeah maybe they get so upset over just things maybe they've been watching the
news so the trees just
blow up if they've been watching the news i mean more than the trees would have
exploded bob i know
things are uh not the best they've been in in the world and in this country but
um i think we'll get
there there's good people out there and we just have to we just have to all
register and vote so i don't
care what they say about the polls you gotta vote yes and do it legally don't
try to it's really weird
that every each side is blaming each side for telling people to vote twice when
i only heard it out of
one person's mouth so yeah absolutely i mean yeah this is i'm really worried i
really am i mean uh
you know i mean i've got one grand kid and another one on the way uh and yeah i'm
very very concerned
yeah i i am i am too i'm concerned no matter what happens i'm concerned uh
because we're we've been on
an environmentally unconscious ramp downward and we have to save the planet and
only a few i mean most
intelligent countries are are joining that banding together but yeah it's for
our kids
so you were a radio host were you a radio host in northern california yes uh
right around a little
town called merced for my first five years and then up here in modesto stockin
for the last uh 10 or 11
and uh the last 10 or 11 we were a rock and roll station so uh it's if if i
could show you the
pictures i had the typical long hair and uh i'm actually where i'm talking to
you in my room i finally
got all my pictures and memorabilia up and yeah it was uh those were the last
days of radio where
the local mom and pop could own the station before they got taken over by the
big company
right and then and then all of them about 10 years ago started going into just
computerized playlists
maybe it was 20 years ago and that's where well i have i have friends of mine
who i used to work with
who are still in radio and uh basically everything's on the computer they can
go in look at their entire
four or five hour air shift uh pre-record all of their um talk sets drag and
drop them in and boom they're
done they can go home and some of them actually do that yeah i i don't i'm not
in love with that i mean i
understand the gig and some people are great at it like i'll do an interview
anywhere in the world
and they record it and it's just it plays back live but it's all done the whole
show's done before they
even go in which means they're not going topical they're not talking news that
you know they don't
which is smart i mean you go on a first date you don't talk religion or
politics so i do that with your
listeners unless they want that so i mean were you ever at a place where you
could take calls like i
get to call you and talk to you were you ever doing that that was wonderful i
mean we you know when i
was uh i used to do the morning show six to ten you know you played games you
had people on the air
you talked to people live and you really interacted with uh the the audience
and the people who were
listening and that was a lot of fun and we were dangerous because our station
our owner did not pay
for a delay so we were live and occasionally a couple people got some stuff in
but uh for the
most part i was very fast with my finger on the button i was uh i got some
stuff back in the day i was
doing radio up there i'd come up all the time um to northern california i
played all the comedy clubs
up there always played everywhere i played the other i played punchline i
played tommy t's out and
i don't remember that was concord i think i don't know but i i let me see that
that's over that's over
uh pleasanton right yeah and you know where are these how are these places
going to come back they
might be gone already you know they can't get through this time but what i find
encouraging
and why podcasts i think are so wonderful um is that you really get to have a
conversation and i get to
call people and have that connection and though it's not going out live that
moment um it's the new
way that i'm doing it right now and i know other people are doing it also so
there's something we need
human connection right now really bad um because we're because of the people
that are quarantined or
we're trying to be safe so jeff thank you so much you're you're you're a good
man and stay safe up
there mike my god stay safe i'm so sorry you're going through this well we have
masks we'll stay safe
you two down there my my daughter one of them is in san diego and she said it's
down smoky down there
and the other one's up in boise idaho and she said the same thing so it's smoky
everywhere just be safe
yeah the world is is upside down right now and no more gender reveals no more
of that that's no no
that was about as dumb as it comes
thank you so much man take care take care be well okay bye-bye bye-bye that's a
nice guy that is jeff
in the middle of this stuff uh here's somebody cool i just have a good feeling
about this
hello hello bella bob saget here how are you oh my god no you didn't oh my god
yes i did so did you
thank you thank you oh my god hold on i'm i'm i'm like your biggest fan ever oh

where where are you and
your mom where do you guys live we're from michigan oh i got a bunch of friends
