Kelly Rizzo and Bob Discuss How They Met & Her Brand/Production Company “Eat Travel Rock”

hey welcome it is uh it is i it is bob and this is bob saget's here for you and
this is an episode
i never thought i would do in my life because i usually don't ever i've been
offered reality shows
you know and all the people all the places that do reality shows i just i never
wanted to do
anything never wanted to bring my family into anything it's my private life you
know and i've
always i talk about it in my stand-up but that's a different thing it's a more
of a heightened
reality rather than putting people out there but my wife kelly rizzo is a media
person and she's a
producer and she's on camera person who has done a lot of social media and she
has a company eat
travel rock there's eat travel rock productions and it's really cool and i met
her because of her work
i met her and asked a friend you're going to hear all about it because we're
going to talk about how
we met if you're interested in that kind of thing and if you're not i get it
but i would
be interested in how you met perhaps but anyway um you know all the every
social that you can get
except uh you know a disease but not what every social you know that yeah
instagram and uh tick tock
and twitter and name one you know uh not grinder oh man i'll get through this
she is at eat travel rock
and it's kelly rizzo and she uh she made me do tick tocks i i fought it but i
just do them when i
have a moment it's been a month so i just i don't know but she's amazing at
everything that she does
and she's very knowledgeable on food and travel and is always working and
producing things for different
places in the u.s and around the world more and more now around the world once
we're starting to get
back now unable to travel and uh here i'm gonna let her in so you know what to
do i'm gonna let her in
she's in the house but in another room this is a a very fascinating episode so
rate review subscribe
follow listen do whatever you do however you get your podcasts you can go to
youtube and watch the
two shot of zoom which is nothing happens except talking and you see how large
my head looks that day
and you get that at youtube.com bobsaggett and with no further ado here comes a
a fantastic person
uh her name is kelly rizzo and yes uh we are married so that is that is unusual
i i don't know what
the result will be but i hope you enjoy it very much she's absolutely uh lovely
and here she is
uh hi kelly hello robert i never liked being called robert you know i never
like hi honey you you know
i never liked robert right but i still hi bob that's weird too right i don't
really have a name
no that's well i like to call you honey i don't know how i identify i'm very
confused there i go
already brought up the hot topics um oh how are you in the other room i'm good
i'm good here in our
lovely dining room in front of our lovely fireplace right and and it has
accessibility from the other
side not from that side if anybody's watching on youtube they'll know a lot
about the fireplace
yeah i don't think we've ever lit the fire from inside this room i feel like we've
only lit it from
the other side right because this side doesn't open oh well there you go shows
how much i know about our
house yeah look around um how are you today i'm lovely it's been a wonderful
day here at our home honey
honest i i i've been in a bad mood today i'm not always in a bad mood but i've
been just i don't
know i took it i'm not going to talk about it because i don't want to but i
will say that i've
watched some news and listened to some news and i had to do an errand and it
just it's it's frustrating
to wake up in the morning with someone that you love meaning you and not i didn't
want to bring up like
uh you know the ups guy and all of a sudden it's like wow the day starts and
you hear oh did you
hear what happened today how do you think i mean your specialty is a lot of
things but you're also
smart so how do you how do you think people should deal with when they wake up
and they see the news or
hear the news or a friend contacts them and says hey did you see what just
happened you know not to be
specific but it's i think everybody's going through it yeah i i also think it
depends on the person
because you are very affected by external stimuli when you watch the news or if
you know you hear
something negative or whatever it is like you'll really internalize that a lot
more than i will i'm
a little bit you know more like you know a duck where i like let let it roll
off my back
you walk like a duck but i didn't want to tell people i actually walk like a
duck i'm the one whose
feet go outward um yeah they're like that and my daughter lara does it too but
she stopped she worked on
herself and now she has done incredible amounts of work on herself physically
with her incredible yoga
practice and yeah and she's able to help other people which is amazing i i'm
just learning how to walk
i know well you know you're you're lanky you're you're a tall guy you're a
little lanky
a goofball and um a little you know i'm a little more sure-footed than you are
because i'm a little
stumpier i'm pretty you're stumpier yeah you're stuck my dad short i've got my
dad's short sicilian legs
i don't think that i don't look at your legs i think they're stumpy i think
they're
lovely i wish i had your legs proportional if i had your legs i could probably
rule the world
you'd you'd be about five six i don't think so i'm short waisted but no i have
long legs
i'm short waisted i'm short when i'm wasted but all i was saying was you're
because you're bent over
um oh well that's how well that's how that's too personal but um no like bent
over like yeah i'm
not huh i have good posture this is all going to be me defending myself because
she knows everything
about me but i am i i'm overly sensitive because i feel things very deeply so
yes and i i try not
to impart it too much in my work especially if i'm doing comedy and acting i
love because you delve into
that but then again some parts would you consider yourself more of an empath
yes it's also a good
name for a new car american car the empath yeah the empath finder the car that
cares about you
yeah i'm not i can be i guess empathic if let's say i have a friend or somebody
i know that's going
through something or a family member or if i read something that really
resonates with me where i'm
like oh i can really put myself in that person's shoes which is what empathy is
but um i don't get
as affected emotionally by let's say news of the day i might get a little
heated or like oh can you
believe this but i don't let it um i don't let it like get into my heart as
much you don't think so you
were pretty passionate about things this morning you were upset about right but
i'm immediately able
to not be upset about it two seconds later like it won't stay with me you know
for me it's a very in
the moment kind of thing i watch the news i might get heated i'll be like oh
look at that can you
believe that did you see that but then immediately after i let it go and i don't
hold on to it at least
emotionally like it doesn't weigh on me where i feel like really it can weigh
on you yeah i i cannot
disengage sometimes when i feel injustice or when i think people are forcing
things i don't know it the
main thing is that um this is basically going to be our therapy for the day
talking to everyone listening
yeah i mean it's kind of the same when if you and i have a little spat uh to
put it euphemistically and
10 minutes later or even an hour or the next day later um you know i won't even
remember what it was
about half the time or i'll even say to you even 10 minutes later if even if we
get into it immediately
after i'm like what i'm over it are you over it i'm over it i'm ready to write
a thesis i'm writing a
thesis on it yeah and you're not quite over it because for you it stays with
you more because i
guess whether it just maybe hits a different part of you than it does with me
like maybe there's a
different part of your brain that attaches to it more where for me i just don't
get attached to that
you know that heated argument or that heated moment um you know it's also kind
of a grudge
thing like for me i don't like to hold grudges where i'll just immediately let
things go because
maybe i'm always striving for just a low stress low anxiety environment you
know for me holding on to
that like really you know if i hold on to something it creates more stress and
anxiety for me and um i
just always kind of like to be pretty go with the flow and happy go lucky and
so for me you know 20
minutes later i'll be like what it's fine everything's fine you know and for
you you might be like no
like we didn't resolve this yet it needs to really yeah because i've had a lot
of emotions but i need to
uh yeah i need to and i go too far down the rabbit hole with things but until i
i clear it and it's a
i think there's a in the middle somewhere what we both are like is the best but
what's great is we
always end up knowing that we love each other and um you're kelly right yeah or
kelby as you like to call
me yeah don't tell everybody all of our secrets oh i'm bobbly um so let's let's
do something i didn't
think we were going to do let's tell listeners how we met because we've told
the story before you've
told the story before but i think we should just lay it out and then uh but
first i guess we want to
talk about because i always have guests as you know and i always we talk about
projects they're working
on things that they're passionate about um and so i mean we should first say
that your business that
you've had for years is eat travel rock um and i know what that is what is it
honey it's a it's a
production company but it's also it's a brand and you are a producer where you'll
go in and do um
videos movies for people that help sell whatever they're selling whether it be
united airlines or
a great uh you know a great tourist spot i mean we went to switzerland together
because you had a
deal with swiss tourism and you've done stuff with a lot of companies and
vendor was really exciting and
different things that you love which is food and travel and music so you have
that component
and then you also have your instagram and your tick tock and your facebook and
your all that all of
your uh virtual things that are your youtube world of all your segments of a
show that was called eat
travel rock so why don't you uh spend about you know 12 13 seconds on that and
then we'll say how we
met here you're honing your elevator pitch a little bit about what i do how was
i how was i do i know what you do
see that i would say you knew what i did better it was a uh i wouldn't say it's
as concise as let's
say if somebody's like what did she do yeah okay but um no but you're right i
so eat travel rocks like
the brand and it's recently morphed into production company travel rock
productions where you know i'm
really helping people who um restaurants uh tourism boards um food brands
beverage brands you know
uh spirit brands things like that um who want to make what are spirits spirits
booze yeah like yeah
booze um who want to make cinema quality social media videos so you know i'm
helping create those but then i still have
eat travel rock for me as me uh where it's you know mainly social media
instagram tick tock that whole
stuff when i'm going to oh you're like stop it stop it stop it stop it stop it
stop it um this is what we
don't want people to see they'll go right to the youtube now they won't listen
they'll go what did he do
i was looking at her affectionately if you're just listening i know because we're
married yes you're
right it was very very sweet and it's supposed to get better the longer you're
married but there's no
marriage at me with endearing eyes and it made me very happy um but deer and
headlight eyes yeah
exactly so um yeah i go i you know i just was in louisville working with their
tourism board but i
went to a music festival to see metallica and jane's addiction while i was
the
