Did you have Alec Baldwin here?
Oh, yeah, every season, pretty much.
He's amazing. I don't know what he's doing now.
He is unreal.
Weird tweets.
But, you know, he's being caricatured on Saturday Night Live,
like, quite mercilessly by Alec Baldwin.
Like, is it funny to you? Is that funny?
No.
The only reason I know if I'm funny,
when I was there, Daryl Hammond did Donald Trump,
and that shows how far back Trump goes,
because that was 20 years ago.
But Daryl did him then.
It was a softer Trump, you know.
I think it was a Trump that was a lot closer to his real self.
But the problem with, if you do an impression of someone,
you have to like that person, you know,
because you're playing the person and people like themselves.
So you can't play someone and have contempt for them at the same time.
You know, it doesn't work as an impression.
So I don't like his impression.
And I have no political affiliation.
I just mean from a comedy level.
He used to come when he was a lot younger, I guess,
because it was when I started, which was 20 years ago.
And he was married to Kim Basinger.
And he'd complain about her, like, you know,
she's the most beautiful woman.
He'd go, ah, fucking wife.
She bought a town.
He was mad because she bought a town.
A town?
She bought a whole town?
Oh, my God.
So their credit score went down a little.
Ah, gosh, Robert.
I can't tell you how great it is to have you on the program.
You know, the work you've done over the years,
just top-notch.
Well, it must make you very happy.
Huh?
A little bit.
A little bit, yeah.
I saw Marvin's room,
and I have to say just a fine piece of work.
Robert.
It's a great cast.
You've got Meryl Streep, Diane Keaton.
Oh, and you know who I particularly enjoyed in the film
was Chong.
Yeah, he was good.
He was very good.
We're filming a taxi driver.
Marty turns to me.
He says,
Oh, oh, let me guess.
He probably said this, probably.
Yeah, you enjoy the shrimp?
Yeah, you enjoy the shrimp?
Hey, hey, you know who I bet
really enjoyed the shrimp?
Chong.
Ha, ha, ha, ha.
Hee, hee, hee.
Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha.
Oh, ho.
But the coolest thing he did,
he walked in,
and he threw a whole bunch of cigarettes.
Like, he had 12 packs of cigarettes.
Oh, wow.
And I thought that was really cool.
He was a very, uh,
you know,
some of the hosts,
as you know,
were not very, um,
involved in the writing.
Yeah, no, he was totally,
I, he was...
He could have been a cast member.
He really could have been a cast member, yeah.
Feeling falling up and down
Picking up the pieces
that you left behind
Hitting under top of low
Breathing in the smoke
and clearing up my mind
The thoughts of you
I never knew
what the hell
you got me up to
So he,
he, I mean,
there was a,
a secretary,
I don't suppose
you call him that anymore,
but a pretty girl
behind a typewriter,
whatever you call him.
And, uh,
she was very sexy,
you know.
He's trying to be like us,
you know,
one of the guys.
And he goes,
that, uh,
that secretary,
no, not that,
he didn't say secretary.
He goes,
that assistant girl out there,
man,
I saw my left leg,
I have to fuck her.
Jesus Christ.
And I said,
I think all you have to
is ask her.
I think you're all right.
