thinking of richard thinking of wayne obviously you know norm recently it's
like i remember growing
up and asking i grew up catholic i asked the priest i said does god have a
sense of humor
because i had like jokes about like you know catholicism and all that of course
got a sense
of humor and like in my mind i'm like if god really had a sense of humor he if
if a comic dies
they should be allowed from wherever they are to have one tweet or something a
week that we all have
access to just waiting like okay i can't wait for that weekly two what is it
going to be what's the
topic i think of that with norm a great deal because i think he uh i i really
enjoyed i really
enjoyed listening to him yeah like just did you gig with him quite a bit no i i
only knew him i knew him
from just hanging out uh like it was he was a fun guy to listen to talk right i
did a lot of gigs at
the factory with him he had that era after snl and i was there and he was
always in his hockey shirt and
he's just kind but one of those people that you popped in the room you wanted
to know what he was
going to come up with yeah you know i heard the funniest story we can cut this
from the podcast
so it'll just be between us but i heard the funniest story years ago so right
around the time that my
space and i i would i stories about norm you just want to absorb them because
they're always so funny
and as funny as he was on shows and stuff he was just funny like that all the
time evidently out in the
world yeah so he uh years ago uh when my space was a big deal and you put all
your money on i remember
you sold your house and you put everything do as i do do as i do i'm sleeping i'm
sleeping in the alley
tonight outside the theater so so conan parked my car when i got here um so so
my space was a big thing
and the first person to really monetize it or figure out a way to use it to
benefit their career was dame
the comedian dane cook who's fine i don't know the guy at all and he's fine but
he had really kind
of made a name for himself by getting followers on myspace so i remember sedagus
told me that he was
going up to 30 rock one day to just rehearse on snl or something and and he
sees norm downstairs and norm
says uh hey uh hey jason uh who's on the uh who's hosting the show this week
there and sedagus goes uh
oh it's uh it's dame cook and norm goes oh yeah yeah that guy uh that guy's a
genius
and sedagus goes oh yeah and he goes no no no a computer genius
that's such a funny joke that's so funny
Thank you.
