Being raised by a single mom growing up, I would have given pretty much
anything to give my mom a break and have a night out on the town where she didn't
have to worry about anything.
Thanks to the growth of the podcast and our Patreon subscribers, we have the
ability to make that happen for single moms in the cities that I perform in.
This is this past weekend's Single Moms Night Out.
Yo, Tio, this is Nick Steven.
Um, calling regards to the single mom thing, I know a lady who just, uh,
recently became a single mother with three, uh, going through a pretty rough
breakup and probably use a night out.
I don't know if you're, if you're going to do that in Salt Lake or not, but if
so, her name's Breezy Sherble and yeah, she could definitely use the, use the,
something to get her mind off of things.
It's been pretty rough to go for her and she's a really good person.
All right.
Thanks and have a good day, brother.
Bye.
Now, I'm just falling on the breeze and I feel I'm falling like these leaves.
I must be cornerstone.
Oh, but when I reach that ground, I'll share this peace of mind.
I found I can feel it in my bones.
But it's gonna take a little time for me to set that parking.
So, uh, have any of you, uh, time traveled before?
I haven't.
No, I haven't.
No, this isn't perfect.
Don't worry, we're going a little further back than that.
She wants to go back and not get married, she said.
Well, uh, don't worry.
We'll, uh, be fixing different kinds of wrongs today, I guess.
Well, uh, hold on tight.
This is going to be quite the ride.
So, uh, take a look at the door over there.
See if you can figure out how to get it open.
It's a four-step process, okay?
Oh, it's actually easy.
Step one, it's a secret knock.
Oh, I leave that one at the house.
Whoop.
Come along, my friends.
Into the hallways at a time.
This way, this way.
Pretty romantic, huh?
Anywho, so, uh, welcome to the hunting lodge.
So, uh, um, I'll be meandering around looking for things, but if you need my
help, just, uh, say, Detective Chanceworthy, we need your assistance.
Of course, I'll help you out.
Ooh.
Anyway, play it.
Play many papers and balloons and my teachers how to play it.
Yes.
What is this, an item?
This is a cat face.
There's a cat.
There is?
Here, what about this sheet right here?
I don't know.
How do we get the key to this?
Here, are we done?
What are we, what can we, what can we, what can we?
This goes in the corner.
This does.
Well, heavens.
Look at this.
Yeah.
Pier one.
This clue, I'm willing to bet, would give us a code, and can you guess where
the code would go?
Yes.
Take a look around, see if we can figure out where the code might go.
I know where the code would go.
Right here.
I guess.
In this little thing.
It's actually right over here, right there.
That's what I meant.
Yeah, he's on hold.
We won!
Don't be so shy, we did it!
Yes!
We made it!
Just leave me and I will find the words to help you make it through.
If you call my name, I'll sing this to you.
Shine that light on me.
I want to thank everybody that supports the podcast.
Thank you guys so much.
We got a single mom that came out tonight.
I just want to give a round of applause for her.
Breezy, she's here tonight.
So, thank you for coming out.
We had a nice time.
We went to eat, went to the escape room, you know.
Which is what she approached her previous marriage as.
So, we got a nice time.
Oh, yeah.
Oh, yeah.
Oh, yeah.
Shine.
Shine.
Oh, yeah.
Hello?
Hey, what's up? It's Theo.
Hi, how are you?
I'm doing good, Breezy. How are you?
I'm good. I'm just on my way into work.
Yeah, thanks so much for meeting up and going on the single mom's night.
Did you have fun?
I had a blast.
You don't have to thank me.
I had so much fun.
I think that the guy that helped us at the haunted house, the escape room guy,
the Sherlock Holmes, I think that guy was a little sweet on you ladies, I
thought.
I thought he was sweet.
Yeah, I think so. And he had an eye patch too, so it's...
He was cute. I liked him.
Well, at least you know he's focused on you when he's talking to you, you know.
There's no, he can't be cheating around with that other eye.
That's true.
So, I heard... I had so much fun at the escape room. I was looking into it.
There's one, like, right down the street from my house I want to take my kids
to. It's supposed to be, like, the scariest one in Utah.
Really?
Yeah.
Do kids like being scared these days?
My youngest doesn't, so I'll probably leave her at home, but my teenagers will.
Well, don't leave her at home alone, because that's scarier than anything,
really, if it's a little child.
I won't leave her at home alone.
Okay, good. But yeah, that would be fun. That would be really, really cool.
Yeah.
What are some stuff that you guys all do together, like you and your children?
Because you have three children, right?
I have three, yeah.
We usually do movies or the skating rink, or dinner, you know, shopping.
Yeah. Well, that's nice that you're a young enough mom and active enough where
you can, like, do things actively with your kids. You know, that's got to feel
pretty good.
Yeah, I have fun with them. My middle, my 13-year-old, she's, like, attached at
my hips most of the time. She doesn't want to leave my side, which I think is
so weird, because at that age, I didn't want anything to do with my mom.
Yeah, that's true. I didn't, I, most of my life, I didn't really want anything
to do with my mother.
Um, what, uh, what do you think that is that makes a child kind of be like that?
That's interesting.
I don't know. I don't know. Like, I just thought I was just a cool mom, but I
don't know. I thought for sure she would like, that was just a phase, and she
would change and then just start hanging out with her friends and want nothing
to do with me, but she hasn't, she hasn't gotten over it yet.
Hmm. Well, I guess it's almost like you, do you feel like you have to use that
time up while she's, while you're still cool to her, you know?
Oh, yeah. I'm gonna hate it when, like, it's a little overwhelming now, but I
know I'm gonna hate it when she is just ignoring me and, you know, doesn't want
me around her friends.
Aww.
Well, that's exciting, though. Are your kids excited about Christmas, or as
kids get to become teenagers, are they still excited or not?
So, um, actually about two years ago, um, we told all of our kids about, you
know, Santa Claus.
Oh, man, I hate hearing that even still at this age.
No, no, no, we decided instead of getting useless toys and things they get
tired of, we wanted to do vacations with them.
So, we do a very, very small Christmas with small guests, and then we do a
vacation.
So, we're taking a cruise, I'm taking my kids on a cruise in January for seven
days.
Really?
Um, yeah.
Where are you guys going? Hold on, let me guess.
Alaska.
No.
No.
Okay.
No, we're doing, uh, the Eastern Caribbean cruise from Miami.
Ooh, mamacita, marijuana.
Miami.
Ooh, yeah, cocaina, you know, pineapples.
Yeah, they got everything.
Yeah, they got everything over there.
Oh, that's gonna be fun.
But I just want to thank you so much, and we want to give, uh, you know, I know
you guys are going on the cruise and stuff like that.
So, we want to pay for, you know, uh, your expenses for the evening and your
babysitter and, um, and give you, uh, $300 to do something fun for the kids.
I know it's not a bunch of money, but, you know, it can buy 'em, I'm sure, you
know, maybe a nice ice cream or something on the cruise, you know?
Oh, my God.
That's so sweet.
No, they'll appreciate it so much.
Well.
I hope they're gonna be something fun.
Yeah.
Well, I think it's beautiful.
I think it's, uh, you know, it's very, you know, you could easily see right
when I met you, you know, um, and meeting me.
You know, um, and meeting your sister that you guys had a strong family vibe
and that, you know, just how much you love your kids and, and, and, and want to
have like a happy home for them.
Um, and I just, you know, I really wish you luck in this kind of new experience
in your life.
And I think, you know, I think you're gonna do great.
You just, you know, it's inspiring.
You just gotta be brave.
You know, sometimes it's a little tricky.
And, uh, happy holidays to you.
Thanks so much, Breezy, for coming out with us.
Thank you, Theo.
Talk to you soon.
All right, sweetheart, have a good evening.
Good evening.
