The Adam Friedland Show Podcast - Episode 11

hello and welcome to yet another episode of the adam friedland show podcast i'm
with nick
um nick mullen the prince of persia
nick mullen the hello oh hi how's it going what are you playing games no
talk about what's going on come on adam friedland show uh well we've had a very
busy and productive
in the news um robert de niro actor robert de niro his grandson died and he's
also expecting a child
to replace the grandson that was fast yeah yeah um his one son has autism fun
robert de niro fact
al pacino al pacino de niro i'm confused he has a son named al pacino
oh he has a son al pacino out there alpy de niro is robert de niro's son that's
true
yeah alpy that's a cute name he's named after his full name is al pacino a-l-p-a-a-c-i-n-o
al pacino's his middle name no his first name is al pacino al pacino one word
yes oh that's cool
like a it's got a little flavor on it sure what's wrong no
his one son has autism well he's got a new one on the way good for him
so robert de niro's son has autism fun fact people forget about al pacino
is uh he was a al pacino the son or the actor
huh the son al pacino or the actor robert de niro's son has autism and fun fact
about robert de
niro okay is that after his son got autism he became a um he's an anti-vaccine
before covid he was him and robert uh kennedy
uh uh like together around the same time yeah oh because robert robert f kennedy
jr son jfk jr
jfk jr kennedy jadakiss jr no it's robert f kennedy jr kennedy jr is his name
jr yeah his his robert f kennedy jr's son's name is john f kennedy jr kennedy jr
uh-huh
f kennedy jr and the f is for the father father his because he's named after
his father uh-huh
so he's named after his uncle yeah john f kennedy jr
f kennedy jr is his full name is robert f kennedy jr's son yeah and he got
autism
and then they changed his name to bilbo bilbo bilbo jr oh oh yeah after he had
autism
like as uh like a prank or something to make it easier i mean well he was like
begging if you had a
a son that was mentally disabled and he was trying to learn his name and his
name was
yeah john f kennedy jr f kennedy jr it's confusing that would be hard and he'd
like see on tv he'd be
like is that me that man from the olden days he'd be like no that's your namesake
that's my uncle yeah
that's your your name your name is john franklin delaner roosevelt kennedy jr
franklin delaner
roosevelt jr scooter no bilbo bilbo bilbo yeah and you have a kid too on the
way yeah schmeagle
no robert robert downey deniro robert downey deniro mullen robert downey deniro
jr are you taking his
last name he's named after iron man that's pretty exciting yeah he's named
after morton downey jr and
robert deniro so his name's robert downey jr deniro you know it's great because
nick doesn't really talk
about his personal life a lot um so i'm i'm sure the audience is happy to see
you opening up yeah
how about robert digiorno uh-huh and it's not delivery
yeah that's pretty good um you know i heard uh i heard barack obama had a son
yeah yeah
nobody named him digiorno obama robert f digiorno bilbo obama
obama's son should be named bilbo it's not that's not his name barack bilbo it's
muhammad okay
what nothing it's the most popular name in the world mm-hmm oh yeah
so he went with that did they still get mad about drawing the prophet muhammad
um they do
they do yeah for sure obama gets pretty mad about it remember when that was
like a revolutionary act
yes for a french uh for a french uh boomer cartoonist
what happened to charlie hebdo huh out the taliban killed them or something you
know what happened
what happened you know what happened what do you mean we said we had no there
was a big uh campaign
just we charlie and why don't you talk about what's going on in the news i said
it robert de niro is
having a kid at his advanced age you know and you one has to think that the the
kid he's not going to be
there for a graduation to give his son his his first dance his first father son
dance at the wedding
yeah you know i guess that son's probably never going to meet the parents
this is pretty good because it'll be because his father will be dead he'll
probably pass away yeah yeah
he'll probably um he'll probably need a godfather he wasn't in the god oh he
was too yeah he'll need
a godfather too because you should have called the godfather jr why is that
because it's the second
movie yeah okay and then godfather the third sorry you're right they shouldn't
have called it then
no i didn't say that i didn't say they shouldn't have called a godfather it's a
great idea and they
don't do it with movies you know if there was a sequel that came out
that was junior people would see the poster they'd be like that's clever
so
because he's not going to be around the kids probably going to need a godfather
too
that will still be alive about the godfather 2 movement
yeah thank you you you put me in this movie and i have to suck your dick
okay like uh oh that they that they had sexually assaulted the cast of the godfather
okay um well we can keep going with this um
i'm gonna get some water i have water right here um well it's it seems like uh
i don't know i thought the godfather 2 thing was good it is a scorcher today
you're still mic'd nick
you're gonna how's he doing out there he's looking good yeah
you wanna see if he does anything yeah what's he gonna do i don't know you want
to come back out
about it for the did i do something wrong what we can get him cooking
yeah let's get him motivated and then i can come back out
well yeah well you know i'll try the uh i'll try the godfather thing again
you're like he's talking behind my back
he does it all the time and he like actually you get this
i don't know that he does it all the time
there's a new switch
i'll read off his no switch to the show um
nick had uh hasan piker sounds like a deaf person saying i was reading my joke
pretty good now he's reading he had robert de niro third
um this is the stuff i had for this show news star wars the dial of destiny you
know i wrote that i was
thinking he said he was talking to hasan piker before the show what's that what
so i said you
know i'm gonna bring down my notes and i said hasan piker it kind of sounds
like a like a deaf guy saying
hunter biden you know like imagine a deaf person like have you heard about
are you talking behind my back or one way or the other he's such a gossip you
know he's such a
fucking gossip when he's going to immediately he's just like oh oh no no no
immediately just oh i
goes to the notepad he always says like what are you wearing he's like actually
like a gay man
he's mean he's like the queen of me
we've done like such great things we should be feeling good for about ourselves
it should be fun
this should be fun you know
what are you talking about what you're talking about i want him to not worry
about this i want him to get
get into the news we're only doing this because we have a read today
i want to after this i'm going to be at the studio for probably eight hours
working on the next interview
with adam busting my ass it's true i'm just feeling sorry no one no one
realizes how hard i work
what's he saying i mean sure i didn't work for 34 years you know i decided to
start working
well the war is not enough when it's hot it changed my life i understand i was
the laziest man in the
world but yeah he doesn't have to do this you could just he could just talk
about the news there's a lot
of stuff going on on cocaine in the white house get to the headlines um yeah
there he goes now he's
it doesn't matter if we did it yesterday there's more there's a developing
story i wasn't prepped for
this i i know he's doing like a meta bit where he's off stage and adam's
repeating what i'm saying
i know what you're doing but like they're trying to figure out who who did this
because it was thrust
on me like a pop quiz um all right all right um we could we're just doing our
own podcast here's a
this i don't think it's ever been done before oh really two podcasts at the
same time yeah groundbreaking
stuff and one of the hosts doesn't even know that the second podcast yeah we
should just have our
we should have you know just keep the the things separate it's on different
audio channels anyway
right yeah um you know the people who want to listen to the meta and google if
you want to tax us
every time a link to a newspaper appears on our sites we'll move the link canada
okay then we won't
advertise with you anymore yourself can you hear yourself how much money is
that 10 million dollars a
year meta plus google 2020 revenue 300 billion that's a tweet from benedict evans
just listen you're right
and he's linking to an article about for some reason ottawa pulling the
advertise their advertising on
facebook yeah yeah yeah no i like that that's a good way to do it the only
thing we need to vape back
here are there any more of these crackers i'm like yeah so uh in other news uh
social media giant meta
parent company of facebook and instagram has launched oh this is a new text
based platform called
three is the same as the other um these are like water crackers and this is uh
target brand red pepper
hmm because that that salsa was nuts it feels mean because i have to be on the
camera and he could
just be out there having fun i mean it was wild but they didn't even sell that
i could leave the show too
i i thought it was a mile this hummus is no good though hey you know it tastes
like feet
who can play at this game it's like old it's like old feet
no
yeah i'll go back out there i went to the beach this weekend
no i'm gonna go back out there in a minute i just want him to get you know kind
of fired up
how does bill burr do this alone he's gotta get him uh yeah him does it too
yeah it's pretty impressive
to do this alone yeah i need to do some of his stand-up is i need a friend that's
funnier than me
i don't know what's he saying i'm like oh i'm gay
yeah that's right i'm gay yeah here we go just keep pushing him he'll find it
if you just let him out
there it's kind of a sink or swim sort of thing
yeah just have him do some stand-up
i mean i mean burr kind of does that you know yeah i feel like you oh uh-oh
oh no wait now this podcast is going somewhere else yeah i don't know where's
he going
his lab is going to cut out right eventually yeah i might have to cut him off i
might have to cut
out the original yeah all right well let me bring the crackers out there i'll
fill in
awful
fucking terrible good afternoon and welcome to the adam friedland show control
room podcast
uh adam has stepped out of the room i hate myself ginzy how do i sound
this should be the best adam may be in the bathroom i i'm not sure
um my girlfriend i don't know if we'll continue with that format or not and i'll
tell you this
folks it's very hot in here so
hopefully we can find a way to cool off now work on jokes for the show i want
to talk about
the hunter biden's cocaine but i've been told that we've already discussed this
fears on the premium
episode this week available at patreon dot com slash tafs victor wimbanyama's
so we won't be
talking about hunter biden's cocaine i was hoping there'd be more information
by now i guess they're
trying to get fingerprints off the bag i guess which wasn't that recently shown
to be bullshit the
fingerprint technology wasn't that one of these things the fbi was just making
up that they know
how to do like they're doing that with like bite mark patterns they sent a
bunch of people to jail over
bite mark patterns and then what i got one you got one what a joke what do you
mean you got a joke about the news
what uh britney britney spears was allegedly slapped in vegas by uh nba player
victor wimbanyama's
security um i guess he took hit me baby one more time literally yeah hit me
baby one more time i didn't even
know if she wore glass like where like here
but the lighting's very bad you see me
what's that
okay um uh britney spears we all remember her uh she was slapped alleged
