The guest is Danny Brown.
Enjoy this episode.
I don't have it.
Guys, we're exhausted.
How much did we do this year?
It's been 11 months.
Guys, a shout out to Zach in the other room.
He's doing coverage right now.
Thank you to you guys.
We got a lot of big things planned for the new year.
Really, seriously.
It's been a great year.
Danny Brown.
He kind of carries it, by the way.
I don't do shit in this one.
Thank you to Ro for sponsoring this episode.

Our next guest is a legendary artist, famously from Detroit.
His new album comes out on the 7th of November, 2025.
Everyone, please welcome Danny Brown.
Danny Brown.
What's up, Bretta?
You dress so cool, dude.
Thank you.
Is this like your New York look or you look like that in Austin, Texas, too?
I mean, it's hot out there.
I know.
So I gotta, you know, I gotta pick my poison.
Do you like layering?
Kind of like an autumn, autumnal kind of fits?
Yeah.
Yeah.
I mean, I plan for it.
I like buying clothes pre-season.
Exactly.
Like in the summer I'm shopping for fall.
And you put on like a slouchy Saturday morning and you go to the farmer's
market with your
.
No.
I don't know why I said it that way.
I really, when I'm home, I'm really more like, just cause it's so hot.
So whatever you can wear just to not be hot.
Yeah.
Yeah, I guess so.
They're too big.
They're big over there in Texas.
The people.
I mean, I eat a lot.
Have you seen the portions?
Yeah, it's disgusting.
But if you came here, you'd be a tall gentleman.
You're probably, we were like 5'11".
I'm?
Six foot?
Six.
One, two, three maybe.
Oh, in New York.
I mean, on my Wikipedia they say I'm 6'3", so.
Let's go.
Yeah.
I'm just saying, you're like a New York 6'8", then.
I'm just saying, you're like, it's a good feeling.
Okay.
Yeah, yeah.
Okay.
Yeah, Danny DeVito is basically the normal hype.
The common New York hype.
Yeah, the common New York hype.
Yeah.
Yeah.
You see a lot of them guys like dating like 11s and you're like, how does that
work?
Money!
So.
I was at the Zoron Mom Donnie election party last night.
What?
And I got, I'm hung over from it.
Yes, I mean.
It's pretty lame to.
I'm not jealous of you.
I don't miss hangovers.
Some things happened.
I don't miss hangovers.
Some things happened last night.
Mm-hmm.
And I can't say because it's kind of a secret.
Sounds like a great time.
I'm just not talking to AOC again.
Oh.
Yeah.
All right.
I'm, she, I'm, she know, you know what you did.
You know what you did.
You feel like, do you know that Zoron was a rapper?
Mm-mm.
He was, he had, he was a, he was a rapper.
That's his rep name.
Do you feel like representation, knowing that there's a rapper mayor?
No.
No.
That has nothing.
I mean, he's got, he's got smoke with 50 too.
You know that.
Really?
Yeah.
50 is talking shit.
He said that because he's going to raise my taxes or something.
See, I've been staying away from social media.
So I don't know what's going on.
Me too.
I just learned all this in the last, what?
30 minutes before the interview.
Okay.
No.
No, but yeah.
Famously you, you were nearly signed by G UNIP.
I can.
I mean Tony Ayo took a liking to my music.
So he was helping me out.
But, but there was something about your pants or something?
I mean they didn't like, I mean 50 didn't like that I wore skinny jeans.
Really?
Yeah.
He said why are your pants so tight?
Yeah.
liking to my music. So he was helping me out. But but there was something about
your pants. I mean they didn't like I mean 50 didn't like that I wore skinny
jeans. Really? Yeah. He said why are your pants so tight? Yeah. So you're on
team Zoron in this beef right now. I'm not on no team because we don't know in
two years. They're two of the finest rappers out right now. I don't trust
politicians really. So in like two years we don't know what we got to see. We
got to see his work. Yeah. You got to show him proof first. So I can't. I think
he's I met I met
him and I think he's just pretty like he's just a millennial. He likes soccer.
Because I remember when Detroit had a real young mayor. Really? Kwame Kilpatrick.
And oh yeah he got he caught some charges right? Yeah. What was the what was
the scandal with Kwame Kilpatrick? I mean it was a lot. But I feel like it was
like just misusing funds type of situation. If Michigan let's say Michigan had
a governor race right and for the Republicans you had Kid Rock and Democrats
you had Eminem. Who do you think would win? Eminem.
Eminem. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Would it be close you think or? I don't know. Yeah I
think I would vote for Eminem too. Yeah I think I vote for Eminem. Do you have
a relationship with Marshall? I met him. Yeah. He really is
so good at rapping. It's really like but sometimes it's like you're rapping too
good. I mean
- When Em first came around,
it wasn't really too many white rappers.
So it was like he had to really go extra, extra
to really be, you know, and I feel like he was just a fan.
So he cared more about the genre
than the average rapper, I would say.
- Yeah.
Do you think there'll be more opportunities for white rappers?
- It's a lot of opportunities for white rappers right now.
- I'm sorry, I didn't know why I'm being at it.
Were you part of the eight mile thing?
Was that a real thing?
- I wasn't, I'm not from eight mile.
- But did you do, did you go to the mom's spaghetti
kind of battle kind of place?
- No, that was kind of like before my time.
- Yeah.
- That was like right, that was like the generation before me.
So I would have loved to be a part of that world.
When I came around, it was more l
