So what happened at the African American History Museum then?
I thought it was really powerful.
It's really crazy what we've done in this country, how they've been treated in
this
country.
It's horrible.
It's really, it was repulsive.
I know you.
I know you well enough to know that you went there and you were-
I didn't snicker.
You were giggling.
I wasn't giggling.
You snickered.
You had private snickerings and giggling.
I didn't snicker, dude.
You go through the entire history of slave trade, then segregation.
But they kind of didn't make it, they kind of made it seem like everything's
great now.
They kind of didn't leave it off and like, oh, everything kind of still sucks.
They were like, you know, Obama's president and that's the end of the museum.
Yeah.
Caleb and I walked through the history sections on at our own pace.
But did you point out-
He went a little bit faster than that.
Did you point out that they made it-
Yeah.
Both of us discussed that.
We were like, yeah, it's kind of, they kind of just- they don't want to say
that it's still
bad for black people.
And when you pointed that out, would you say that you were-
Erect?
Erect?
Giggling and-
I was not giggling.
I was not- I don't like this pen thing.
Alright.
I wasn't- I- I- no.
I cried twice.
The Emmett Till thing was incredibly moving.
We watched the video of his mother.
It was horrible.
It was horrible.
Mm-hmm.
Yeah.
Yeah.
African American History Museum.
Yeah, it was cool.
I haven't been to a museum in a while.
We ate at the- at the food hall there.
It was pretty good.
Yeah?
They had like African American food.
Right.
And you giggled.
No, it was delicious.
What kind of food?
Like catfish?
Fried okra?
Like soul food?
Yeah.
Okay.
Fried catfish, fried chicken.
Yeah.
You're like, yeah, they had-
Collard greens.
Arizona iced teas and tackies.
No, they had like food that was-
Just a regular cafeteria.
It's just junk food.
You're like, wow, they have black people food.
You're like, wow, they have black people food.
Yeah.
So, you're like, yeah.
You're like, wow, they have black people food.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Is that what you said?
No, I didn't say that.
They had really good banana pudding, mac and cheese, collard greens.
They ran out-
They ran out of some stuff.
We got there late.
I have to say-
But it was really good food.
I don't like-
I do not-
I'm not a fan of soul food.
I like it.
There should have been a post-Obama thing with Bill Cosby.
It's like, well look now-
Cosby-
Now even we can get canceled.
That's another thing I noticed.
The cause was everywhere.
Was he?
There was like-
I noticed like six or seven different pictures of the cause.
Because it came out-
Because it came out-
It came out right before.
It came out before.
Yeah.
Yeah.
And they didn't take down the cause.
And would you say that that inspired giggling in you?
A little bit.
Yeah.
There were some giggles.
Giggling.
That the goat was still-
Giggling.
That the goat was still everywhere.
Giggling at Cosby.
There were some giggles.
I will say-
I'd be like, wow, I can't believe-
You know.
They still-
His contribution culturally.
All right.
So we have you giggling in the food court.
I was-
The food court was just delicious.
We have you giggling at-
I will say that it was very-
It was very-
Well-
On the way out it was like very-
Bill Cosby.
I'll note giggling down here.
Giggling at Bill Cosby.
There was another thing you were giggling at.
I said I was crying at Emmett Till, not giggling.
No, no, no.
You did giggle at another moment.
It wasn't just the food court and the Bill Cosby thing.
It was at the end.
Yeah.
Pointing out that they ended on a high note.
High note giggling.
They didn't end on a high note.
They kind of-
They didn't really-
You know.
George Floyd and all these things that have happened in the last couple of
years
aren't really part of the exhibit.
I'm sure it came out before.
The timeline kind of ended-
Let's go back to the boxing match.
That was pretty cool.
Yeah.
John Mayer was the-
What's his name?
The black boxer who beat Max Hill.
Jack Johnson.
Jack Johnson.
Yeah.
Tell me about that exhibit and what you saw.
It's just a video showing them boxing.
What happens in the video?
I said that this guy's like, "I would never fight a boy."
And then he retired and then Jack Johnson won.
Did he say it that way?
That's how I imagined he said it.
Oh, okay.
Yeah.
And did you say that to Caleb in that voice?
I think Caleb was over at the Tiger Woods.
And you saw him.
And you went over to him and you were like, "This guy was like, I'm going to
fight a boy."
Did you say it that way?
No.
Actually, I don't think I remarked on it to Caleb at the time.
Yeah, yeah.
But I did imagine he said he wouldn't fight a boy.
And were you giggling when you thought about that?
I didn't.
No.
I wasn't giggling.
Giggling at the Max Schmeling exhibit.
It was the Jack Johnson.
I guess the question I have is how many exhibits did they have at the museum
and how many were you not giggling?
I guess Emmett Till.
So let's say one out of two out of a hundred.
There's this really cool thing where they have a train car.
You'd love that.
From the time of segregation.
And then they have these sounds of the conductor being like, "Please, madam,
can I please have your ticket?
I hope you have a fantastic day."
Is there the steam engine also?
Can you hear that?
You hear a little bit.
Yeah.
Don't sit there.
And then you go to the back and it's like, "Let me see that ticket."
You know, and they're like being mean to the soul train.
Yeah.
Then you're in the back and it's the soul train.
Did you make a soul train joke?
No, I didn't.
No, I was alone.
Caleb and I were doing the history part alone because it was emotional.
Because he said, "I can't be seen with you giggling."
No, that's not why.
He's like, "Please."
Because he reads faster than me.
He's a very smart guy.
Yeah.
Yeah.
What?
No.
Giggling on the train.
I wasn't giggling.
You would have made the soul train joke.
And if I were with you, maybe we would have giggled.
I would have gone to the Holocaust Museum.
I've already been there.
It's a great museum.
They had like a music exhibit where it's like touch screen and you can make
your own beats.
You can make your own beats.
Yeah.
Were you with Caleb at that point?
I was with him at that point.
I was with him at that point.
And I know.
I know.
I know.
I wasn't giggling.
I know.
I was taking it seriously.
There's no way you walked past-
Because he was like, "Did you see Jay Dillon's NPC?"
I said, "Yeah, I saw that."
And I was like, "He's goated."
There's no way you walked past-
And I was like, "He's goated."
And I was like, "He's goated."
You walked past-
And I was like, "He's goated."
And I was like, "He's goated."
You walked past a Make Your Own Beats exhibit at the African American-
I was playing with the machine.
And didn't engage in some classic Adam giggling.
I didn't giggle.
No.
I didn't giggle.
Giggling at the production station.
No.
I didn't giggle.
I didn't giggle.
I took it seriously.
I don't know.
This is not looking good here.
Okay.
We got a lot of giggling happening at the African American-
I did make a joke, I think, when I saw Chuck Berry's car.
I said they should have the bathroom stall where he was filming women, without
their permission, going to the bathroom.
Yeah, that is a very funny joke.
Adams did a lot of giggling at the African American-
I didn't.
No, I did not, actually.
Just a quick recap if you're just joining us.
He giggled at the food court.
He said, "Oh, they only have black food here."
And he laughed.
But that's, it was from-
I didn't giggle.
There was pictures of Cosby everywhere, which he giggled at.
He was giggling.
The monster Bill.
He was giggling at the-
The monster Bill Cosby.
He was giggling at the fact that it ended on a high note.
He said that that was-
It didn't end on a high note.
It just didn't really get into the-
It kind of made-
It ended on Obama's inauguration.
His impression of Max Schmeling saying, "I don't want to fight no boy," which
he was thinking in his head, giggling at that.
I didn't giggle at a single one of these things.
They had a train there that he was giggling on.
I thought the train was cool.
Which prompted a story where he lied about Amtrak.
I didn't.
And he was-
Oh, sorry.
I just showed you the ticket where it said my seat was 11-D.
History of the music production area where he was making beats and giggling at
the beats.
I didn't giggle at the beats.
And lying and-
Okay, we could have Caleb on the show next, the next show.
He can attest that I was not giggling.
And lastly, he giggled at the reparations.
So I don't really-
The one thing you didn't giggle at-
I thought that that was shocking.
The one thing you didn't giggle at was Emmett Till.
Which I guess you could say is good.
No, that was-
But considering that the-
We're talking about the-
What is the anniversary of this show?
Probably the only funny moment on the show is you giggling at an Emmett Till
joke.
So I'd say it is a-
I think all three of us laughed.
I would say it is a net giggle for you, my friend, at the African American.
I did.
You weren't there.
I wasn't giggling.
I said it was really cool.
I really enjoyed my time there.
If anyone's in Washington, D.C., go to the National Museum of African American
History.
It's pretty powerful and affecting.
And spend a good amount of time in the history galleries.
And as they go-
Start at the bottom floor and work your way up.
A way to lighten the mood, perhaps, because it is pretty bleak, is just as you
go through think, would Adam be giggling at him?
No, don't.
I wasn't giggling at him.
And in what way?
I wasn't giggling at it.
Nick always likes to say that when serious things are happening, I giggle at
them.
It's kind of a joke that we have between us.
But I was taking it seriously.
I really was.
I did think it was funny that they had pics of Cosby up still.
I did think that was kind of funny.
I will concede that one.
And they were throughout the whole museum.
Yeah, even in historical periods he wasn't in.
He was just like-
So you would say throughout the museum you were giggling at the pictures of
Bill Cosby?
No.
Cosby was like in the culture-
I think that's case closed, folks.
Okay.
Thanks for watching, guys.
Bye.
