Well, let's talk about going to the White House.
It was surreal.
When did you get the call?
I think I probably went to the White House on a Thursday, and I got the call
the day
before.
It was very fast.
I was talking to PFT.
You said no one in the office knew.
I don't really interview people, like ever, so to get a call that he wanted me
to come
to the Rose Garden to interview him was a lot.
I liked him.
He was personable when I was there.
I think he let his guard down when he realized, obviously, I wasn't like an
attack guy.
But yeah, I thought he was personable.
Your dad bitched out against Trump?
He talked a lot of shit.
He really does not care for Trump, and he had the opportunity.
I FaceTimed him, and he kind of turtled.
Did you tip him off?
No.
Somebody in the office may have tipped him off.
I tried my best not to tip him off.
You ambushed your old man?
Yeah.
My dad would have crushed him.
He was watching Maddo 24/7.
Yeah, but you think-
You would have been like, "Mr. President, I have no respect for you!"
You think so?
Well, and then I don't care whether you like him or don't, he still was the
president at
the time.
Is he transfixing when you meet him?
What does transfixing mean?
Does he have a presence where you're like-
Yeah, of course.
Oh!
No, it didn't make that sound, but he definitely had a presence.
I didn't think Trump made that sound.
Well, you made it.
Oh!
Yeah.
He's the president.
He had, for sure, a presence.
It's so funny he became the president.
It's quite funny, actually.
From Apprentice?
I've said that.
I don't know why he won, I guess, his ego.
He didn't want to win.
I think he did.
No, he was renegotiating his contract with Jeff Zucker at Apprentice.
Well, maybe-
It was like a stunt to get more money.
Maybe he didn't think he was going to win, but I think he wanted to win.
Why is he running now, then?
He likes his guys.
He likes the rallies.
He's very funny.
When he works those stadiums, he's crushing.
Like, I think that charges him much.
Is that addiction?
If I was, like, just doing arena tours-
Yeah.
And everyone's like, ah!
I think he-
I could see that being addicting.
Peak COVID, he was like the last comic work in the road.
We all had to stay home, and Trump was out there crushing and killing Herman Cain
from
COVID, and he was having the time of his life.
He's a big boy?
Yeah, he-
I didn't think he was overwhelmingly big.
I think he was about 6'6", 6'7".
Uh, not that big.
No, I think he is.
4'3", 40.
4'3", 40.
Trump at the combine, he was a-
You're putting out Kanjimin's stats here.
What's Kanjimin?
That's the guy from North Korea.
Kim Jong-un?
Correct.
Kanjimin.
Yeah, I'm not the best name guy.
Those are his stats.
Didn't they say Trump shot a 64 the other day?
That again would be-
That is North Korea style.
That's when he-
I think he said he shot an 18 on a full regular golf course.
at one point.
So sick?
Yeah, impressive.
He should go league.
I don't-
I've never really heard that for golf, but okay.
Do you have Trump's number?
No.
There was no hesitation there.
I was thinking whether I did, I don't.
Sounds like you have Trump's number.
No, I don't.
Can we face him for a while?
I don't have his number.
Could you tell him that the show is really great?
You could pass it along through like 18 different people probably.
Epstein or-
No, no.
I don't know Epstein.
I didn't-
Never, never had the pleasure.
Never had the pleasure.
Um-
Never had the pleasure.
Um-
Never had the pleasure.
