yeah yeah I watched uh there will be blood last night for the first time in
years
yeah that's a good movie it's so it it might be I mean it's like kind of
obvious to say but it
might be the best the best movie I don't know it might be like when you watch
him acting you're
like who else could do that who else is that good at that thing at acting he
might I I don't I don't
think anyone's ever been that good before uh as Daniel Day-Lewis yeah I don't
know Jim Carrey in
the Grinch is pretty good I don't know he does completely become that character
yeah there's
no makeup the man is a chameleon he goes green yeah he just did that really I
thought that was
like industrial light and magic like he fucking looks like really yep he ate
like a certain food
mm-hmm like uh predominantly turn green mm-hmm no way mm-hmm I had no idea
yeah no it is it is like uh yeah I had watched it in years is it is it is
fucking amazing
man I totally forgot about like
about um about like when he realizes that the brother is lying to him the guy
that's like assuming
the identity of the brother mm-hmm but it's like uh like an hour and 20 minutes
into the movie it's
like the first person he could be honest with like the rest of the movie he's
just lying to everyone
around him and then an hour and 20 minutes in this guy shows up he says I'm her
brother
and he's like well whenever anyone says anything to me I just get disgusted by
them
I hate everyone mm-hmm and I just I'm obsessed with destroying everyone around
me
and assuming as much money and power as I can
and it's like uh and then he finds out that the guy's been lying to him and
then
the way he snaps is unreal I like completely forgot about that about that scene
completely
mm-hmm
all right what I want to talk about it
no nothing no
you're doing Adam's movie reviews
all right here's my movie review I used to think that movie was about like the
devil
just came out of the desert right and it but like how is a character a
character can't be
completely irredeemable right so what what is redeeming about that character is
he has a baby
you know he's like nice to the baby but then he immediately starts using the
baby to make more
money and stuff right but the last like like kind of like a shred of humanity
that he has
I'm listening is when the fucking the oil derek like explodes in the boy and
then he like he has
simultaneously become incredibly rich but his first impulse is to protect the
boy
yeah yeah yeah and I and then that's that's when he completely just loses all
like tethering to
to any anything that was human about him
that's that's your that's my well I just had forgotten about that I kind of
just thought he was
just pure evil but it makes more sense that this is how he tells the story
he's gonna put a bow on it what would you say about the movie I say it's
probably five stars
and the point of it is you know i mean it's about capitalism
wrong what do you say it is wrong what is it about no just wrong
what is it everything you said is wrong really what do you think i don't know i
don't want you
brought it up what did you say you brought it up to be wrong just say what's
wrong
just tell me everything about everything it's like you didn't even watch the
movie
i watched the movie
it's actually about skateboarding no it's not yeah it is no it's not literally
there will be blood if
you watch dogtown and z-boys it's the same movie it's the same story who is
what tony hawk
tony hawk is supposed to represent tony hawk kind of yeah in a lot of ways yeah
and this idea it's like you know oil is like something nobody ever thinks about
oil they take
it for granted they're like wow it's awesome we have gasoline and we drive and
same thing with
fucking skateboarding but meanwhile there was a guy that's stole a baby and
it's actually a bad guy tony hawk who's the baby in tony hawk's life though huh
he had a he stole
baby too i i remember it's pretty much a one for i think i heard that yeah it's
like basically yeah
what a skateboard fell on another guy and he was digging in the ground like
during the original x
games they didn't have any money so they couldn't afford babysitters so you
bring the baby with you on
the ramp right and there was a skateboard accident yeah and then he sees a baby
in a basket yeah he takes it
with him that this is my son yeah yeah that what why'd you do eugene carroll
this is my boy why is your tony hawk impression eugene carroll that's how tony
hawk talks
i get the 900 yeah it's actually i did the 900. he pushed me into the bathroom
and i was the first person
doing 900 and i said this is i said donald i'm not angelo landfrey
