Which, by the way, I watched, did you, have you been watching the new?
Yeah.
I watched one.
I watched the first one.
Yeah.
It's, it's so good.
It's so good.
He's back.
He's back.
By the way, I was holding my breath because I was like, oh man, don't go
against it.
You stuck the landing.
I watched the first two episodes.
I watched the.
I record only.
The Tucker one.
Yeah, no, I did that too.
And it's great.
Do you DVR shit?
Yeah.
Yeah, see, he gives me shit for that.
Why?
Because he's like, he's like, what do you use DVR?
Here's the thing about DVR.
It's, it's locked in.
It's just right there.
It's not like YouTube.
It's just in your box.
You could fast forward your commercials.
But it's, yeah.
Which is great.
You love fast forwarding your commercials.
Oh, fuck you, capitalism.
Ah.
Ah, I do it with the middle finger out.
But, John, I was so nervous John Stewart was going to suck.
Yeah.
No, he's still got it.
He's the best at that.
Well, it was so funny too.
He's the best at it.
The first episode, they, they, like, he, the monologue's amazing.
Yeah.
I enjoyed the hell out of it.
How is it so bad without him?
And then it cuts to, who's a young lady?
Looks like a bowling ball.
Ooh.
Okay, let's go down the list.
I don't want to talk about it.
Yeah.
Karen.
I'm friends with her.
I know.
So, I know.
So, it's like.
No, anyways.
Then they do their thing where it's like, they're like, well, the whole bit is
like,
shouldn't you let somebody else host the show?
And it's like.
We tried it and it didn't work.
It was terrible.
Yeah, it was bad.
It was, it just.
John's back.
It may be the reason the world got so bad.
Yeah.
Kind of.
You could make an argument.
It may be the reason.
Kind of.
Yeah.
The last fucking ten years have been off.
It made the country.
It feels so middle-aged to be like, I feel so comforted seeing him cook like
that.
I know, yeah.
You know what happened?
It feels nice.
Do you remember?
We're kind of.
Maybe a little too young for this.
Joe Piscopo.
There was always the thing that he was funny.
Yeah, yeah.
And then he got super in shape.
And like super jacked.
Yeah.
And it made him unfunny.
Yeah.
Because he was just concentrating on his body.
And I feel like that's what happened with The Daily Show is it was so funny.
And then they subbed out John for a hot guy.
And it just became charming to the point that you're like.
I don't think.
I think the problem.
I mean.
I.
It wasn't funny anymore.
I remember seeing Trevor Noah around doing shows.
Yeah.
He's a good comic.
Yeah.
He's funny.
Yeah.
It's.
He's just like.
He wasn't John Stewart.
From the beginning it felt like.
It's like.
Imagine if you put me on a political show in France.
He's not from our damn country.
I was like.
Well.
They're making cheese illegal.
You know.
I don't know.
You guys are doing this shit.
Take it through the Eiffel Tower.
I know.
It's like.
Bonjour.
I guess.
Look.
If things get bad.
I'll just go home.
Yeah.
That's basically what he did.
Yeah.
I know.
I don't fucking.
He went like.
You know what.
I don't think this worked out.
I'm going to go do arenas.
Yeah.
Right.
Exactly.
There's no stakes.
But John Stewart came in and just started.
Immediately it felt comfortable.
Right.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Immediately he worked.
I want Colbert to go back too.
I know.
I know.
But he ruined himself.
He ruined himself.
Yeah.
He got overexposed.
Well John Stewart.
And got too emotional.
Well yeah.
He's sitting on TV like he being like Donald Trump wants to take away voting.
And he's like fucking in the verge of tears.
He's like this is just embarrassing.
Your old character was funny.
Regardless.
The character was the best satire America's ever done.
Yeah.
Like him doing O'Reilly was the best.
But he stayed in character all the time because my friend worked for O'Reilly
back then
and said that Stephen Colbert took the microwave from O'Reilly's office because
he wanted something like at the
and it was on set of the Colbert rapport was O'Reilly's microwave.
He just took it and was like I'm going to yeah I want O'Reilly's microwave.
And then he like did a bit on it on the show and you're like that's hilarious.
Yeah.
Let's get back to that.
Yeah.
Let's get back to that.
