what can you tell us about yourself sir where are you from i'm a tourist um
tourist yeah and uh coincidentally that's where i drive um from toronto grew up
in toronto beautiful
town it's uh it's you know it's a lot like a lot of people say it's like a like
a clean new york
i prefer to think of it as a dirty winnipeg yeah
very cosmopolitan though isn't it it is a lot of great restaurants a lot of
fine folk there um yeah
so i grew up there and and moved here in in my 20s but uh before you know got
into showbiz i was just
a regular guy yeah living in toronto just school of soft knocks i see and uh
what what jobs did you have before you got into were able to get into well i
did everything i was
i was a baggage handler for a small airline i worked for an airline called skywalker
air that you probably
never heard of no and uh but they they operated the toronto buffalo and toronto
rochester routes
with a couple twin otter aircraft oh twin otters yeah it's a stall aircraft
yeah yeah that's a short
takeoff and landing yeah yeah thank you beautiful yeah uh made by de haviland
it is made by de haviland
yeah yeah it's a great piece of machinery but tremendous we so we i i was i was
a baggage handler i
kind of had like a like a weekend job my dad um made me get this job and and uh
i i would sometimes
guide the planes in and and and mishandle the luggage and uh and do the thing
with the with the
flashlights that i called them but uh and i i had a few mishaps in in in that
job i um one time i guided
a plane out and there was a loud uh loud thump and i'd left the stairs attached
to the plane oh no
oh no but this is before everything all the craziness has gone on right so so i
just said oh no you're
good yeah go ahead hit buffalo uh which is a great city in its own right um and
we used to have we had
some uh pretty rowdy pilots uh who worked for the airline there were a few
instances where a guy wouldn't
show up for work and then a couple of the gals in the in the who worked at the
ticket office say oh no
he was partying until 4 30 in the morning so they'd get on the on the mic and
they say you know passengers
on flight two to buffalo we're having technical problems and meanwhile it's
just jim coming in late
you splash water on his face and say great let's go you know
it was uh but uh real role models for me sure in my drinking years yeah uh and
um you've done uh some
voice work is that correct i i yeah i've done voice work uh what does that mean
it's like for commercials
or uh animated features that kind of thing yeah well more animated features now
uh uh but started just
commercials just trying to you know uh just hit the city and uh and try to get
out there and get some
commercial stuff i i let my voice to the gmc trucks and into the lamisil and a
bunch of different
things yeah that's great a lot a lot of money involved in that isn't it it's
lucrative it's pretty
sweet bread yeah yeah i'm not gonna lie to you no there's no reason for you to
lie to me there's no
point no why would you lie to me yeah i'm happy to be there yeah uh now the uh
the the film let's go
to prison i hope that's mine yes yes it is and people kind of uh laughed at the
title which is good you
want people to laugh at the well it's suggestive because it's saying come on
let's go let's go yeah
and uh it's the guys at the studio yeah well they know what they're not they're
not stupid it wasn't
originally titled that what was it original it was you're gonna die yeah and
they were like no no no
that's right uh it was it was actually originally so you are going to prison
you are going to prison and
uh but they got wise and and your your character uh goes to prison yes and it's
about all the fun you
can have well yeah yeah it's uh man it's a good time in there and uh you're
just really shedding
some light on it yeah because i don't i think it gets a bad rap that's the deal
i think it has over
the yeah yeah and uh the gang over at universal they figured hey look let's
just widen it out a little
bit let's let everybody in on the good news take a look that's right
