how you doing i'm good man good to see him they have never cheered like that
for you tell the
truth no they never have tell the truth they really have they're they're a discerning
group
they know better they know the real deal my friend they're not kidding around
man what's up
you look great let me uh listen i and you don't have to answer this if you don't
want to answer
but you yeah you just you look like a talk show so yeah you look you look uh
every time i see you you
just look better and better and i'm and i'm wondering
just because when you get to be my age you start thinking about this no stop it
damn
once you go black you never go back
now this is taking an unforeseen direction but what i was going black is one
thing but this
how old a guy are you is where this was all going well no i'm i'm uh i'm uh 39
and i'll be
no you're not yes you look like you're 29 for the love of god oh david
but 40 my 40th birthday is this year september 25th my god that's hard to
believe but then again
now when you were when you were the fresh prince yes how old were you when you
were the fresh prince
i started i started the show i was 20 years old 20 years old wow so good for
you you've already put
in quite a career haven't you yeah you know i've been i've been uh working hard
dave um uh i don't
know if you've seen any of the things i've been doing yes yes i have i saw the
hancock movie you
saw oh you saw you saw that one i saw that one yeah you've had you know is that
that's like your
first will smith movie right no no you know dave had you know i've been on the
show i saw i saw that
other one just killed me that other one yeah oh my god you know the one i'm
talking about the one with
the thing in it yeah yeah just i couldn't just i i was uh i was uh crying uh
like a uh kitty yeah
yeah that one that was the best one yeah
but now uh what have you been doing you've been traveling all over the world
around traveling around
doing uh hancock promotion uh where do you go when you do that uh i just came
back from moscow i was
in berlin paris and london what is moscow like what is berlin like for evan's sakes
you've never
been no no we should go on our honeymoon
all right but i don't want to spend the whole time in the hotel
i want to i want to get out and see stuff
no you know moscow moscow is actually fantastic you know it's kind of opening
up and and uh
energy lots lots of energy and it's like it's it's like where god made like the
first white ladies ever
you know six foot two blonde hair blue eye just beautiful perfection it's like
really it's not the picture of russia that we it is gorgeous and beautiful and
sexy
see i i think what we the image might be sadly for the old soviet union days
yes bread lines and babushkas
do you think maybe like in in like the derivation of babushka that's where bush
came from like with
african like african-american hair you don't know nothing about african-american
hair though right
i'm not sure that there is an intersect on those points uh but yes now that
people love you there the
films uh do well around the world as well as here and then do they go crazy
when hey look it's will
you know a little bit more than that but no it's actually it's really
interesting because uh something
new happened after after i am legend just something in my in my career i don't
know something connected
with with people i don't know if if there was the uh the the sense that that uh
you know there had been
a lot of luck involved up to that point but something happened with i am legend
and and things have sort
of connected around the world in a way that it has never been you know when
walking down the streets
of moscow just the energy was was much more than than it's ever been that's
that's the sign of a
real star yeah you like that yeah i do like it oh geez i pulled my mic off i
pulled my mic i do like
that can you get that for me honey thank you thank you should have done this in
the car thank you
how are the kids how's the family man everybody everybody is fantastic um the i've
been working a
lot uh the last last couple of years so you know my wife has uh said that we
have to take the the next
five months so i've been five months off that's great that's great well i mean
yeah i guess you
know i i like i like i enjoy my job i i really enjoy working you know you and
your wife jada jada
what will you do with the five months do you have it all figured out or is it
just kind of
improvise make it up as you go yeah i mean she might need to be prepared to
have lots of sex dave
you know and i'm just saying i'm just five months yeah wow you know how am i
supposed to feel about
that um oh they just had a nasty picture sorry believe it that's right yes i
threw up in my mouth
i know exactly what you're saying uh no you have a son uh 15 15. yes i have a
15. tell us what that
is for heaven's sakes first of all a lot of pressure on a kid who's got a
worldwide uh movie
star popular uh father yes you know he and he he makes me very aware of that
that is you know it's
pressure you know he's he's a great kid you know he has a good head on his
shoulders you know he kind
of kind of auto parent with that guy you know he kind of he knows what he wants
he's very focused
interested in acting at all uh no not not really football player um and he's
you know trying to
get his license right now and he likes girls there you go he likes girls now
now the the the the the
girls there's nothing you can do about that but the license you could stop that
you could you could stop it right now no he you know he my uh my uh my daughter
is is the one that
i'm struggling with a little bit you know it's like she's seven she's seven and
uh you know her
movie opens against hancock she's in a movie she's acting now and it's uh uh uh
the uh the american
girl oh yeah yeah so it's her it's her oh yeah man that's not good yeah i don't
know uh the clapping
just made me uncomfortable because you never know because that american girl
thing is very popular
this is this is like for hancock here though yeah i know i know yeah i know i'm
just saying
you know like i i i come to you yeah i understand for help i know why you're
you don't need my help you don't need my help no no like my movie's coming out
you're gonna be
fine you're gonna be fine uh no thanks to you buddy now uh uh well how does is
that uh good you i mean
have you worked together you feel good you i mean when she's in a movie and i
mean what is that you
got a house full of actors yeah it's um it's it's a little scary you know
because they're so different
and like boys are very easy you say to a boy listen um here are the rules and
until you can beat me in a
fist fight you need to like follow them you know okay and they kind of size you
up a little bit all
right all right okay but like with girls it's like it's a whole different thing
like you have to like
talk you know and listen and stuff you know but so it's i mean she she got a uh
she got a snake she
has a three-foot boa constrictor that she just loves oh yeah that's what i said
yeah exactly
you know so as any pet she could have she selects a boa constrictor yeah she
tricked me she said she
was getting a frog and then came home with a boa constrictor you know but like
there's this really
empowered thing that that she has and uh so good luck on that for god yeah no i'm
trying so you know
i told her you know she her movie found out her movie was on the same date you
know so we we we talked
about and she's very happy you know so you know daddy daddy loves you sweetie
but uh i got to stomp you
at the box office you know i understand that i hear what you're saying
it's um but you know i i have a son and and even i know that that american girl
thing is really really
popular you circled back to it that's the thing that's throwing me off a little
bit okay um i don't
think you understand our relationship yeah maybe let's uh let's uh let's look
at a clip here of
hancock of what what movie what movie are we gonna look at dude hancock very
entertaining film and i
want to tell you something it's to me it's just about the perfect movie blockbuster
this hancock right
here because here you have you know wait a minute you have the superhero
elements yes superheroes really
the way you'd like to see them absolutely authentic yes yeah and and it's and
it's also an african-american
masculinity yes yes and it's uh and it's also very entertaining very funny yes
you and jason bateman
are great yeah jason is is fantastic uh he did the show he was he was here a
couple days ago how you
like him yes he was also very excited about american girl
yeah do you know that was the one that was over the line day
well i knew i was getting close in addition to that the movie will make you
laugh out loud out loud
it's uh it's uh you know wonder wonderful uh i can't give the secrets away
because there's some
fantastic turns and twists in the end of the movie it's a fun ride all very
enjoyable did you like go
to a theater or you you made i'm saying your dvd no no i saw it on the big
screen yeah at your house
or at a i i can't tell you where but i saw it on on the big screen in like a
movie theater movie theater
in a movie theater yeah i like that i enjoyed it a great deal i make pretty
good movies you should start
checking all right now we talked about this
i've seen all of your movies yeah oh yeah especially the one with the with the
thing where
the thing had happened oh my god with what you're calling them with your son
was in that my son oh
i just broke my heart it was called um um it was called pursuit of happiness
there you go there you go
you see what i'm saying yeah okay big dave scores one on the big board
uh listen enjoy your five uh months off and and if you if you know i don't know
why
you're only here like once a year or so but during the five months off and you
want to come to new
york with your family come on and say hello oh that'd be nice really no i'm
gonna do that i'm gonna bring
my whole family next time i wish you would absolutely yeah will smith ladies
