I'll be right with you.
Folks, thank you very much for coming.
If you want to go up to the 14th floor,
they're drawing for dinner with Sue Simmons.
So good luck and good night.
Thank you.
Drive safely.
Paul, that last song you guys played was terrific.
One of my favorites.
Oh, thank you very much.
It is called Not Just Knee Deep.
Right, by Funkadelic.
Oh, you're familiar with Funkadelic.
Paul, what kind of a wimp do you take me for?
Well, no, no, I just didn't know you were interested
in the whole psychedelic R&B merger.
Oh, no, yeah, I really enjoy that.
What was the album that's from?
I mean, I know, but it just slipped my mind.
Ah.
Uncle Jam.
He's babbling.
No, that is the name of the album it's from, Uncle Jam.
Weren't you talking about the Funkadelic song
you guys played tonight?
Yes, that's right.
Not Just Knee Deep, right?
That's correct, yes.
Well, who played the original guitar solo in that?
Ah, well, why don't we ask Dave?
Dave, you're supposed to be so familiar with the album.
Who did play the guitar solo?
The original guitar solo?
Yeah.
Ah, well, it's Eddie Hazel.
Eddie, maggot, brain, hazel.
That's got that feel to it.
Eddie, maggot, brain, hazel.
No, you're wrong about that.
I happen to know it was Gary Scheider.
No, that doesn't sound right.
Well, of course it's right.
It was his whole, his number, it was Gary Duop Scheider.
No, I know who it was.
Who?
Michael Kidd, Funkadelic Hampton.
No way.
Well, the other two were on the record,
but Gary Duop Scheider sang the vocal.
No, no, it's Eddie, maggot, brain, hazel.
Ah, you're both wrong.
It's Michael Kidd, Funkadelic Hampton.
Come down to the record library and I'll prove it to you.
I think you should go to the record library.
Some kind of a seminar here.
It's more than I had hoped for.
No, I'm sure that I'm right.
It has that maggot brain mentality.
You'll eat those words in a minute, Dave.
Come on.
You are both completely off on this.
I know it.
Here, let me, uh, let me just look it up in the catalog.
That's okay.
I know right where it is.
Come on.
Here you go.
Look for yourself.
Unbelievable.
He's right.
Knee-deep guitar solo.
Michael, Kidd, Funkadelic Hampton.
No kidding.
I thought it had that whole maggot brain kind of feel to it.
I know.
Look.
Wow.
I'm really sorry, Larry.
My apologies.
Well, you really do know your music.
Well, I certainly do.
In fact, while you're here, there's something I'd like you to listen to.
Are you familiar with the yodel-pop merger?
No.
No, I don't think so.
Well, wait till you hear, Trio Schmied.
As knee-high youngsters, they yodeled and sang for their father's guests in his
restaurant.
Hmm.
Check this out.
Yodel.
Cha-cha.
It's great.
All right, chumps your wallets, please.
What?
I said your wallets.
Oh, no.
What is it?
Please, now.
How could you?
Oh, I can't believe it.
And you, Paul, give me your rings.
Rings?
Mr. Melman, they're brand new.
You're breaking my heart.
What is it?
Some kind of a joke?
What kind of a joke could it possibly be?
I don't even know what a joke is, remember?
Well, he's right about that.
Yeah.
Shut up, Big Mouth.
Now, I'm going to lock you in here.
And if you so much as move an inch, I'll fill you full of lead.
By the way, be sure and listen to Cut Six.
The pokal yodel is fabulous.
Ha!
Locked.
What do we do now?
Well, check out Cut Six, I guess.
All right.
Pokal yodel.
How does this happen to us?
Well, now, this is good, too.
Isn't it nice?
Yeah.
Ooh.
