i've uh started drinking the decaffeinated coffee and i want to tell you there
is uh
no bigger waste of time than this stuff is caffeine bad for you is it good for
you for
it's for patients heart patients i guess yeah but i'm telling you it can't be
any worse i'd rather
have something that does something to you than something that does nothing
nothing to you yeah
this is just how about some of that hot brown water oh man
they're drinking in hell uh dear dave what are you drinking out of that blue
cup uh each night on
your late show you seem to get happier as the show progresses that's because i'm
closer to going home
uh lucy young smithtown new york uh you know uh it's the decaffeinated coffee
and uh i thought
i was the only one who hated decaffeinated coffee you know it just it's awful
you ever drink the decaf
no well i watched last night there's a commercial for people who hate decaffeinated
have you seen it
take a look at this watch hi there bill oh hi tom hey uh do you mind if i punch
you repeatedly in
the face why not it's better than drinking decaffeinated coffee getting punched
repeatedly in the face
still better than drinking decaf a message from the national council for
getting punched repeatedly in the
case
lee blue
nice thing about this uh i thought the thing was when i did that's i thought
that was supposed to be that
wasn't that didn't we rehearse that that was supposed to be oh wait a minute oh
jeez oh
oh no no no no i'm fine i'm fine all right let's stress trotty oh by the way i'm
told that there
is no video document of me spitting on tonight's show oh i see oh i feel much
better oh there i i know
that i did let's just try this one more time see if we can't get it because
when it hits the desk that's
when it back decaffeinated coffee it's what they're drinking is there a
different one or we just keep
hearing that same one over there am i being a little too picky not at all okay
huh what i think
lots of different jingles i think while you uh while you folks were uh at home
there watching the
commercials actually doing this while you were at home doing this we had a
little meeting and i think
we've ironed the the kinks out of that coffee mug hitting the desk jingle
situation okay we're always
trying to perfect the show we're always fine tuning it you know what i'm saying
so you so you folks can
relax and enjoy the show we're always working very hard all right let's see how
it goes yeah try this
it's not going to be that inhale jingle is it
there you go now we're cooking with gas
what is that pile of stuff next to the mug that's like coffee uh you know a
couple of cookies
i see those are cookies all right
