our next guest stars on the popular new television series miss guided which can
be seen thursday
nights on another network please welcome the lovely judy greer it's so good it's
so good to
meet you well good to have you here thank you for coming you now you look uh
you look lovely but uh
your hair looks uh different am i right about that you are right i'm now a redhead
um because i just
finished a movie with jennifer aniston and she and i had similar colored hair
like when mine was
like blondish brown and and so they wanted me to dye it red because they
thought that i don't know
maybe we would get people would get mixed up or our hair color was too similar
and i remember they told
me that and i was like yeah i'll totally dye my hair red but i'm kind of pretty
sure no one's going to
think i'm jennifer aniston but you never know we'll keep our fingers crossed i
guess but it looks nice
do you like uh do you like being a red hair yeah i love it i really do yeah
that's good and uh can you
tell us about yourself where you're from and how you got your beginning in show
business and stuff
sure i mean i was born in detroit michigan that's right yeah and uh i took
ballet classes and then
went to college in chicago and then out to where did you go to school in chicago
university oh good for
you yeah that's a awesome de paul do you ever ever get back to the midwest well
i do actually my parents
have moved now to a small town called kerry ohio which is where my mom grew up
so i go back to visit
them there like around christmas time they have like this big party for my
family called the kerry christmas
oh that's nice yeah it's really cute they have someone come like uh someone who
lives in the in
the city but is not related to us who's maybe similar looking to santa claus
they have him dress
up like santa and come with a bag of gifts for all the kids and then we have to
sit on his lap and we
get our present it's really it's really kind of awkward once you get to a
certain age because i have
some pictures of myself where i'm probably a little too old to be sitting on a
piano flat but i'm there
fun fun for heaven's sakes um and and with uh every uh actor and actress uh
their early jobs as the
career is just kind of coming together did you have some interesting
experiences there i did i did i
was um was a cocktail waitress once oh that's kind of hard work isn't it crazy
hard work i probably
lasted and i'm not joking like two hours i couldn't i don't think i delivered
one drink because the dance
floor was crazy and so i went to my manager and i said no no no no more of this
for me and she said
well that's fine because the coat check girl just odied so if you wouldn't mind
the coat the coat check girl odied yeah she odied on what checks black leather
jackets
and after working there i could figure out why but she didn't know she od'd on
drugs
oh she's but she's not dead not dead well okay so then you were the coat check
uh person check girl
which i thought was going to be an awesome job but then it turned out to be
kind of a pain in the you
nowhere because um people who don't go to nightclubs with girls tend to stand
next to the coat check
girl yes they do yeah so at least there's someone who's like has to stand there
and talk to them all
night long i'll bet you meet a lot of fascinating guys that way huh gosh there
are some nice dental
students that um probably have great practices now and i should have talked to
them for longer because
dental work's expensive sure well it looks like you have nice teeth though what
um now you uh living
in los angeles what did you have are you able to i know with a show like this
it's you're always very
busy but are you able to have fun well i have been um i decided to start a book
club because i was feeling
like i i didn't really get out and do enough even though technically the book
club's in but i felt
like it was good to have like to meet new people and so i invited my friends
but then i had my friends
bring their friends so then it was like a bigger group of people but we had one
meeting so far but
it was kind of like a it was kind of a bad start because i i switched books
halfway through because
i felt i felt guilty because the first book chosen was a hardcover which is a
little bit more expensive
and i felt bad and then when i started reading it it was actually really poorly
written so then i felt
really bad because i was making people spend more money for a bad book yeah so
uh then the the first
you switched at the first meeting you switched how do you have well pretty like
a couple weeks into the
first email saying would anyone like to be in a book club if you do read this
book then i sent out
another one saying like you know scratch that or finish it whatever um like
whatever you want to do
and maybe maybe try out this other book too yeah if you if you want i think
that's fair enough because
i mean if you're going to read one book what's the matter with reading two
books for heaven's sakes
and they were both the one was really good and the other one was educational
yeah that's right
nothing lost there no uh now judy the the program misguided uh thursdays at
eight and it's your only
how far are you along it's just like a couple of shows right like a baby first
season yeah we've got
like um seven episodes we are yeah i think we're on our third and um people
really like it that's good
at least that's what everyone's telling me
well it's a thursdays at 8 p.m judy greer pleasure to meet you i hope you come
back thank you very
much judy greer ladies and gentlemen
