okay hi there well you know this costume is a favorite with new york city kids
this costume is stuff found on the floor of the d train
how are you are you having fun tonight what's your name now when you go out
trick-or-treating
what's your favorite snack um gum all right here how about 40 feet of garden
hose there you are
you'll have fun in the yard with that oh be very careful okay oh there you go
okay thank you oh
at a regular comedy routine here
there you go okay our next guest stars in a new film entitled confessions of a
teenage drama queen
it opens on friday please say hello to lindsay lohan you know everybody's
excited because you
were on the our old show at nbc years and years ago when you were a tiny little
kid do you remember
anything about that experience it was it was interesting oh don't even tell me
that you have
a picture well look at how cute you look here you were part of the halloween
thing the trick-or-treaters
come and they're all dressed up with stuff do you remember what you were
dressed up as i was things
found on the floor of the d train that's right yes i was there she is right
there look at that this is
this is 1992 october 29th stuff down on the floor of the d train
look at that sweet little face there
you remember it is a fun experience it was fun i remember the part where you
gave me a hose as my
gift oh yeah the garden hose was the treat yeah it kept unraveling kind of
embarrassing i'm sorry about
that but hey welcome back thank you thanks for having me and uh uh how was your
valentine's day
it was good what kind of stuff do you do for valentine's day is it a big
holiday for you no
i'm single i'm 17 i'm young so it's not like i can have anything i thought you
were married i'm
sorry i thought you've been married for several years not really i'm not really
at the position
yet yeah no i went to dinner with my friends it was fun uh-huh and and how many
friends just two
girls that's it it was nice two girls who are also in show business actors no
they're just my friends
they're in from l.a they flew in with me because i was in l.a and we went to
dinner and i had to work
the next day so we got to bed early is there some kind of a feud that you're
involved in with hillary
duff have i read that or is that you may have read it and what what is what is
the nature of the feud
there's there's nothing going on it's it's like so old come on dave you got to
catch up well i'm
trying to catch up what was at the core of it i don't honestly i don't even
know that's the sad part
i don't know what happened were the shots fired no there weren't like a big
shootout or something
no there was it's fine you know everything's all right yeah it's fine it's cool
yeah uh do you have
a driver's license are you gonna ask me to do a kelly just in oh you don't you
don't have to i don't
have my full license yet i haven't taken my driving test really when are you
going to do that probably
when i get back to l.a because i have no time here to do it and you're uh in in
high school you're not
in high school you i've just finished high school i was homeschooled yeah for
the last year how did
that go it's you know it's it's easier when i'm on the set and i'm doing homeschooling
rather than
going back and forth to school because it's hard not seeing my friends and then
like not being ahead
on the work and everything so and uh will you do you continue your education
beyond this or are you
going to concentrate on films full-time now i well i want to go to college i
mean i think it's really
important to have a great education and everything and i want to either study
entertainment law or
completely different fashion i'm not sure yet oh fashion yeah oh that'd be good
now when you study
fashion what is that like design like outfits and cute i don't know i'm not in
college yet
no but the thing is i want to focus on what's going on right now because this
doesn't happen too often
for people and uh we were talking earlier that you're single that sounds so
silly because you're so
young but you must have a boyfriend right no i don't have a boyfriend no
boyfriend at all no have you
ever had a boyfriend i had one boyfriend but it was very innocent and it was
just oh i have a boyfriend
type thing in school it was just fun to say you had a boyfriend right and uh
but but guys must be
interested in you lining up kind of interested in i haven't really experienced
that yet to be honest
really not experienced interest in boys on your behalf that hasn't happened
there's always a boy that you
like but there's nothing yeah but aren't guys just like going crazy aren't like
aren't like they're
coming by your house by the truckload no guys of what age i mean well like your
age but at 17
girls like older guys and at 17 you're too young for older guys so there's
nothing you know what i mean
there's nothing no that didn't make any sense now let's just say no it's it's
it's legal no no you're
you're 17 so you could go out with like a 17 year old guy yeah but yeah it's
just it's difficult to go
out with 17 year old boys sometimes really well my brother's 16 and he's kind
of immature and i love him
to death but you know 24 year old guy is kind of like a 17 18 year old guy well
no no i'm not suggesting
you go out with 24 year old guys forever i'm saying like age wise the way it
works mentally
i'm confused i don't i don't know let's go on to all the guys are going to hate
me now
dave thanks no no no all the guys will hate me all the guys do hate me
uh so uh you tell us about the film the confessions of a teenage drama queen
what does
that mean it's a common expression we hear a lot it's a girl um going through
high school and you
know in high school i think even now like you still have drama in your lives
and girls are dramatic at
some points and you know she moves from new york city to the suburbs of new
jersey and she has to
meet new people and it's hard going to new schools and like dealing with cliques
and everything and
having to fit in and be popular and that's what she's dealing with have you
ever had any experience
like that in your own life um it was difficult when i was leaving school and
coming home again i did
switch schools once but i had some friends in the area so it was okay and i
wasn't really in a
specific clique i kind of tried to get along with everyone because i wasn't
really there so to come
back and be in a clique and those girls not be there that day would be really
difficult for me
so um i just it wasn't that bad for me i had a great experience in high school
and and
i was under the impression that somebody told me that you were having a feud
with hillary duff
it's so old it's like no one wants to let it go no no now is the big premiere
of the film tonight
yes it is and so there'll be a big party afterward right yeah and so what
happens at the party um well
at this party i think they're gonna have makeovers going on and stuff for girls
to just go and have
fun at um and i it depends you just talk to people now will you stay out really
late i have to get
up early actually i'm doing regis and kelly tomorrow well that's a mistake ah
you know i'm trying to be nice yeah i know you're just killing me you think i'm
old when you get a
look at it regis well you know what regis has had me on the show a few times
before and this is your
first time oh well i'm very excited and i hope you come back it's been a lot of
fun for me now let's
uh have we seen the clip yet no we haven't okay let's uh tell people what we're
gonna see here in the
movie um i believe this is the clip when she first comes into the school and
she's meeting
the girls and um they're kind of being mean and then this is this is you you're
the teenage drama
queen and your character's name is my character's name is lola sepp it's really
mary but she wants
it to be lola lola so she calls herself lola okay here it is it opens friday
confessions of a teenage
drama queen very cute very cute well good luck don't stay out too late at the
party give my best to
regis tomorrow and also to hillary duff when you see her tell her hello we'll
be right back ladies and
gentlemen lindsay lohan
