out of hand was this
the first time in show business for some of them well a lot of my people play
and sang a lot of my
brothers and sisters right so it's not really foreign i've been at this for so

go look for mr christmas
tonight we're having a farewell party for one of the staff members you've been
here quite some time
and i know it's the holidays and i feel just terribly about letting him go now
but
we're all gonna miss frank gannon goodbye frank good luck to you frank told me
not to do this yes
gosh he was a nice guy oh the fun we used to have with frank
but onward and upward well it wasn't his fault i just thought it'd be fun if we
could just be horny
together yo
frank don't think of it so much as a door closing but a door opening all right
okay
uh now what what will you yourself be doing for the holidays are you working
are you taking off what
are you going to do i'll be home uh for christmas if you're part of the
expression i'll go up to east
tennessee the smokies what is it like does it get cold in the smokies sometimes
we get snow we don't
get as many snows as we as we used to but uh it gets cold enough it seems like
christmas then on
christmas day i go back to nashville and have christmas there with my husband's
family oh so you
actually have two christmases yeah and your husband's family do you get along
well with them
oh very well yeah i've been in that family for 25 years we get along real good
and they don't mind
that you're show folk no they like it i don't know what that means yeah i think
they would be
proud to have you as part of the family i hope so yeah uh and everything is
going well for you
things are in good shape everything is good we just got all kinds of good
things coming up yeah
and uh you're going to sing a song for us yeah i was hoping that you'd wear the
little reindeer
ears and help me but you won't well i had them on for you but you know what i
really didn't
bring those for you those were paul's oh jeez paul i'm sorry can i borrow those
oh man i inadvertently
slipped into your uh antlers they told me you wouldn't wear them when you said
that i thought
well i'll try it all right so paul will put on the ears of course we'll put
those ears on he has
to be my partner of course i will and dolly partner says a little different
deal that's what paul will
wear the antlers but it's still gannon's last night all right okay now uh what
do we need here for
this song anything you get your spare antlers you're gonna go over there and
sing with the band
we're just gonna go and we're just gonna have fun with you sure you won't wear
these i'll be right
over here enjoying it in my own way well all right let me go over thank you
very much dolly parton
ladies and gentlemen here with the boys and that's cute all right yeah anybody
wants to join in with us
oh rudolph the red-nosed reindeer he had a very shiny nose and if you ever saw
it why you would even say it
hello all of the other reindeer they used to laugh and call him names they
never let poor rudolph join in
any reindeer games until one foggy christmas eve old santa came to save hey rudolph
with your nose so
so bride won't you guide my sleigh tonight then how the reindeer loved him as
they shouted out with glee
heard off the red-nosed reindeer you'll go down in history play one dearie
oh sounds just like a national fiddler
you're gonna scare them nashville boys to death
oh and then one foggy christmas eve santa came sorry about that guys
oh rudolph with your nose so bright what you've got my sleigh tonight then how
the reindeer loved him
as they shouted out with glee oh rudolph the red-nosed reindeer you'll go down
in history wait now
today when we were rehearsing i heard these boys singing rudolph and i thought
it might be fun
if we just let them take a course by their self you think you can do that

as you would even say it close sure you won't join him now david
