Hi, I'm Barbara, and this is Mary, writer Bill Schefft, and of course you all
know Dave.
Hi, how are you? Nice to see you. Thanks for having me on the show, Barbara.
Nice to have you. Today, February 1st, is one year since we started YouTube.
One year. One year.
You gonna cue us?
No, here. I have little ones for everyone. One, one, one, one, one.
What do you do with this?
You hold it up and you celebrate.
I think this is supposed to be in cake. Where's the cake?
I don't have a cake.
It would be nice to get a little something to eat.
Where are the teriyaki skewers? That's what I want.
Okay, that's it for that. So for our one year --
How many shows have you done in a year?
How many shows have we done?
35.
Wow.
So that's less than one a week.
Oh, one of these, 35. Yeah, I think we're probably --
It's not much of a show.
No, I don't even know if we've done 35. We probably haven't done that much.
Wow. Okay, well, anyway.
But anyway, for the big show, we're gonna raffle off a jacket.
Oh, that's a good idea.
Wow.
And --
Let me see the jacket.
That's a beauty.
That's a good one.
That's year two. That's the year two jacket.
That's a nice --
Second year.
That's a fucking jacket. Yeah, beautiful.
The first --
Who made this one?
This is Ebbets Field.
Yes.
Oh, I love the Ebbets Field.
The first --
The instructions are here?
In the description.
About how we're gonna raffle?
Yes.
And we were gonna have you, sir --
Don't you know this stuff?
You know, it's computers and --
I'm 65.
We were gonna have you sign the insight, if you would.
Oh, okay. I'd be happy to.
Do we know who won this?
Is it --
It's a raffle.
It's a raffle.
We don't know yet.
Why did you throw the panic back there?
I don't know. It fell out.
I'll get it. I'll get it.
I'll get it.
This is the worst anniversary show.
It's like how anniversary shows go.
Who won it? A guy named Bob?
No, we don't know yet.
No, we don't know yet.
In a couple of weeks --
Okay, I sign it.
Yeah.
I'm gonna put my name on here,
and then I'm gonna date it.
Okay?
Okay.
So you're gonna date --
Now, tell them where the money goes.
Oh, the money goes to the word --
World Food Program.
And in a couple of weeks,
we'll pick a name.
What is today's date?
February 1st, 2023.
Oh, so it's 2-1-23.
Okay, there you go.
Yeah, and it's also --
And the reason we like the World Food Program,
our friends at the World Food Program
like to say that it's one of the few problems
of the world that actually can be solved.
Yeah.
Barbara, what are you doing now?
I'm showing the jacket.
And then you signed it.
You know what's sad is that this jacket
would have been worth so much more
if you hadn't had it cleaned.
Yeah.
Yeah.
This date also is 41 years
since we went on the air late night.
Oh, my God, 41 years.
Oh, wow.
Should any of us be alive, really?
Well --
Well, not me, of course.
I don't know about you and me.
I shouldn't be alive, no.
Mary, get it up.
Borrowed time.
So it's a wonderful celebration.
That's why we're all together.
And that's all I have.
You're kidding me.
The one-year anniversary and that's all you've planned?
She brought props.
I went out to the store and bought wands and thingsies.
Yeah.
But you went to what store to buy these?
Party City.
Party City?
Yeah.
I walked down the street --
What did this set you back?
I don't know.
Eight dollars?
Eight dollars for a one?
Yes.
Well, you got three ones.
You should have gone to tri-state parties.
Would have gotten a much better job.
Honestly God, and you walked up and said,
I need ones for a party?
I said, where's your anniversary aisle?
And have they an anniversary aisle?
Well, they sent me to the birthday aisle and I went and got ones.
Oh, okay.
And how many did you get?
Four.
Four.
Four?
Oh, wait, five.
But do we all have one?
Five.
This is one of those things where, yeah, what do we do now?
We got to go back and get twos.
Well, for next year.
Yeah, but what a --
But you're all set for your 11th anniversary.
Well, that's right.
Yeah, once again, I'm short-sighted.
Yeah, well, next year --
What a racket.
Next year, maybe I'll get a cake.
Yeah.
Why isn't there cake?
Well, I didn't think of the cake.
It's always occasion for cake.
Whose show is this, honestly?
Yours?
No, I didn't know it was an anniversary.
Highlights from the first year?
Highlights from the first year?
Oh, yeah.
Here we go, Barbara.
Let's see the clip package.
Roll it.
Roll it, Walter.
Highlights from the first year.
We could show all the outtakes.
Yeah.
Every time I tried to touch your beard.
What do you have for season two?
Yeah, what's coming up for season two?
Season two will have plenty more clips.
Makeovers.
Guest stars.
Yeah.
And probably not any guest stars.
Probably not any makeovers.
Overs.
Oh, my God.
Long Island.
On location, maybe?
Probably no locations.
And I would say this has been a wonderful show.
Don't forget to get the raffle.
That's a real thing.
Yeah.
And World Food Program is a real thing.
Year two, borrowed time.
Is that what we're looking at here?
No, this is going to be another great year.
We've actually had a successful year.
Very few shows make it to year two.
It's like 15%.
We've had a good first year.
It's like the restaurant business.
There's a lot of theft from employees.
No, it's been good.
Yeah.
Filfridge.
It's been...
No, it's shrinkage.
Isn't it shrinkage?
They call it...
It's been thrillingly close to actual entertainment.
Yeah.
You've got to be there.
If you open a show, you have to be there every night.
Yes.
All right.
Thanks for coming.
Don't forget to get the thing.
Don't forget to subscribe.
And thank you from all of us.
Thanks for the cake.
I am stuffed.
Yeah.
All right.
Sorry about the cake.
Goodbye.
Yeah.
Nice going.
Happy anniversary.
Lame.
What is the first year?
The YouTube family.
Paper?
Yeah.
Most of the cardboard and glue year.
Yeah.
