our next guest is about to begin his second season as a writer and performer on
the hit
television program saturday night live and this is his second visit to our
program ladies and
gentlemen please welcome comedian adam sandler oh adam thank you thank you
thank you thank you
all right well um you know uh some girl told me recently that she likes to go
out and watch guys
dance because she said it's very similar the moves a man makes on a dance floor
you know to the moves
he makes um when he's making love and uh i guess if that's true uh i'm in big
trouble because i dance
like this thank you oh yeah i'd like to do a quick impression for you uh this
is my dad at the
dinner table actually every few sentences to my mom shut up thank you thank you
thank you this is uh
this is my mom at the dinner table in response to that don't talk to me that
way you have no right
to say that not in front of the children um this is uh no thanks thanks this is
uh my mom and dad
talking together at the dinner table and if you listen real close you can hear
my brother come in
right at the end of the conversation listen up shut up stop it why do you say
that to me that's not
will you shut up please stop i'm queer thank you i like uh i like visiting home
seeing my family nice
people my father father's a little uh whatever i get some of my nerves
sometimes just because he's like
a big guy and being cautious giving myself enough time you know like when i
visit home uh what time's
your flight tomorrow um 11 o'clock at night oh you gotta get going like seven
in the morning seven in
the morning well why that it's like an hour away no let's figure this out here
all right you get some
traffic you got a little extra hour there you lock your keys in the car and
gotta get a lock spent
there's two hours right there a giant bird comes down picks up your car and
drops it like 240 miles away
that's about five or six extra hours right there this guy wants me to give so
much time you know to get
to the airport but he can't find three minutes a day just to hug me
you know what's your family yeah yeah my grandma my grandma i have a nice
grandma she's not she's uh deaf in
both ears my grandmother so we bought her two hearing aids and she keeps
putting them both in the same
ear okay so she's deaf over here she's got like bat-like hearing over there
did somebody say nursing home always she always picks that up um also uh she uh
she wears glasses
to see far away then when she reads she don't need the glasses anymore so she
like puts them on top of
her head and forgets they're up there so she's got like 14 pairs lined up she
lives down in florida
every time she goes outside a little fire starts on her head it's uh it's very
hot it's very hot in
the florida well your head's on fire yes oh it's a hot one today it's hot well
your head your head's on
fire it's a scorcher hot i visited my grandma and i kind of that gets my nerves
more than anything just
i love her and everything but i just uh to get in the building just takes
forever because she's got
that intercom buzzer uh system and she can't hear and i'm downstairs buzzing
for just a long time
trying to get in i'm just praying for her head to be like scraping on the wall
again oh a noise
she has to she she gets she gets all panicky you know when someone buzzes
because she thinks
someone's trying to kill her and and so she gets when she hears the buzz she
gets all nervous and
starts looking at the intercom who's who is that who is who is down there who
is why do you want
to hurt me why why are you doing this to me what have i done to you who is this
it's your grandson
charles manson i cannot let you in you are evil and i am good we are opposites
but uh then she hears she hears oh grandson but she's not you know sure if i
could just be making
that up so she like quizzes to see if i'm the real grandson and uh okay i'm mr
grandson
question number one who in our family is allergic to chicken answer me mr
grandson
that i think is my brother scott yes that's one number two mr so-called a
grandson
who in the family is pregnant right now out of wedlock that's my cousin i think

round

number three mr grandson who in the family at your sister's wedding when i was
dancing having such a
nice time and my heel broke and i fell into the melon balls who laughed at me
that was me

like 15 i don't know 20 minutes
wrong because you're still laughing at me inside
grandma thank you i really appreciate that and uh you're very nice people thank
you very much
