- Woo!
- What's the matter?
- I'm thirsty.
- Are you thirsty?
- I could use a nice cooling beverage.
- How can we get you one of those?
- Hal!
This is our director and racing legend, Hal Gurney.
Hal, do me a favor, turn on the external camera
up there on these...
Up there on the seventh floor by all those soda machines.
All right, okay, here we go.
Hi!
- Hi, Dave.
- Hi, Patty is it?
- Yes, Patty Atcha.
- What's your last name?
- Atcha.
- Ah, nice to see you, Patty.
Where are you from?
- Nice to see you, Dave.
Originally from Guatemala.
- Guatemala?
Where do you live?
- Now I live in upper Manhattan.
- I see, and what do you do for a living, Patty?
- I'm a law student at Columbia.
- Well, good for you.
Now, Patty, I understand as well as being a law student,
you're a member of a group known as Mensa, is that correct?
- Yes, that is correct.
- All right, for me and for everybody else looking in,
why don't you explain the group for us?
Will you?
- It's the High IQ Society,
and the criteria for being in Mensa is to be in the top 2%
of IQs, and it's a worldwide organization.
And this is the greater Manhattan, New Jersey,
the Long Island group here.
- Anybody in the club named Toots?
- I don't believe so, but we can check.
- All right, so now let me ask you, how high an IQ do you have to have to get
there into
that Mensa group?
- 132 or higher.
- 132 or higher.
And what is your IQ?
May I ask you that?
Is it polite for a man to ask a woman her IQ?
- I don't know exactly, but it's 140-something.
- 140-something.
If you had to guess, if you were hypnotized, and someone said we need an answer,
absolutely,
where would you put your own IQ?
- I don't know, 143, 140, I don't know.
- She's modest, she's modest.
- I really don't know, but...
- All right, 143, well that's pretty good.
All right, Patty, now let's take a look at the beverages.
- Okay, you have Coca-Cola Classic, Diet Coke.
- Right.
- Caffeine-free Diet Coke.
- Right.
- Sunkissed, Diet Cherry Coke.
- Oh, that sounds good.
- Dr. Pepper, Nestea, you want to see the other machine?
- Yeah, let's take a look at the other machine, Patty.
- Pepsi, Diet Pepsi, Pepsi, Pepsi-free, Schweppes Club Soda, Schweppes Diet
Ginger Ale, Schweppes
Ginger Ale, and Mug Root Beer.
- I'm going to hand me one of them Mug Root Beers, Patty.
- Doopie doopie.
- Now, Patty, you mentioned that you have other members of the Greater New York
City Mensa
organization with you.
- Yes, we do.
- And with their help, I'm going to receive a soda.
Get it down here as quickly as you can.
Here we go, Paul.
- Thank you.
Oh, my God.
What is your name?
My name's Barbara.
Barbara, what is your IQ?
It's 141.
141. Good for you. Thank you very much, Barbara.
Nice to have you here this evening.
Barbara, ladies and gentlemen.
Hey, I can't get this thing open.
Well, you've got to be some kind of genius to get this thing open.
What?
Geniuses, Paul.
All geniuses.
Bringing me a Coke.
Yeah.
A mug root beer, soda.
You've got to be a genius.
Yeah, that's right.
You know, ladies and gentlemen, I don't think I'm spilling any secrets
when I tell you that sometimes things go goofy or wrong on the program.
