our next guest is a talented young actress starring in the hit film entitled
easy a
which is currently in theaters around the country please welcome the lovely emma
stone
welcome to the program how you doing i'm pretty good how are you you know i'm
okay yeah i'm feeling
pretty good i've had a lot of rest tonight tell us now i know you've been in
films before what
other films have we seen you in let's see um maybe super bad yeah super bad
sure yeah or um
or zombie land zombie land with the woody harrelson with woody harrelson and
bill murray was also in
the film right he was did you you get to spend time with the woody and bill at
all i got to spend
actually a pretty fair amount of time with woody in two days with bill and it
was the two of them
at the same time which was great the greatest it must have been great and and a
little exhausting
maybe maybe a little yeah what kind of stuff did you and woody get to do we did
oh man we i've done
he's just the greatest guy in the world but probably the best thing i've ever
done with
woody other than hanging out with bill murray was going to paul mccartney's
house wait no wait a
minute no how he he just crashed it you know no but seriously that's paul mccartney
you can't
just go to his house i know did you win like a radio contest or something it
was even better than
a radio contest they were really really good friends i didn't know that well
everybody's good
friends with woody well yes so you go over to paul mccartney's so we go to paul
mccartney's house and
he makes us veggie burgers oh come on he doesn't know that no paul mccartney is
making veggie burgers
made veggie burgers yeah can you can you imagine no so are you nervous are you
scared oh my god i was
i was probably less nervous than i am now but it was very uh it was it was i
mean it was unbelievable
well you know who the beatles are right you've heard of the beatles heard of
them i've heard of
them yeah they were around in like what the 80s no a little earlier what did
you how was dinner it was
so good yeah it was can you imagine if i was like well the burgers were a
little what did he say what
did he do he was i i mean we just kind of sat around and i was you know in a in
a funk i couldn't
believe i was there with paul mccartney but i mean the most amazing thing
ironically tomorrow my mom
and i who's here tonight and is probably freaking out right now is oh we're
going to get tattoos really
and we've never gotten tattoos before and i probably never will again but her
favorite song is blackbird
by paul mccartney and it's my favorite song as well and she just went through a
pretty crazy two years
two years ago tomorrow she got diagnosed with breast cancer and she's out of
the woods now oh which is
amazing good for you and your family yeah and then um and so and i'm i get to
host snl next week which
is the dream of my life and so that's amazing and so i wrote a letter to paul mccartney
asking him if he
would draw two little bird feet because he wrote the song right and yesterday
he sent them to me
he's drawn bird you say little bird feet blackbird feet and so i'm getting a
tattoo right there and
she's getting one too custom tattoos designed by paul mccartney custom tattoos
oh my god that's pretty
good isn't that wild wow unbelievable he's a good guy yeah i have a completely
different kind of weekend
it's the weekend i get my back shaved
well that'll be nice yeah yeah no i'm i'm looking forward to it it's good to be
groomed
well now how about this uh movie uh easy a uh in theaters now and do people
know about the movie
they must know what it's based on right this is this is roughly translated from
the the not translated
but adapted from the scarlet letter yes yes it's it's pretty roughly adapted
from the from the scarlet
letter she's but contemporary times yeah yeah contemporary and um she's a girl
that has basically
lied and said she lost her virginity when she really didn't and starts
pretending to sleep with people
for pretend money that was a terrible way to describe no i mean if that's if
that's what it
is that's what it is for heaven's sakes now we have a clip here emma tell us
what we're going to
look at um this is with amanda binds she plays uh a very uh evangelical girl at
school i guess you could
say and um she does not like the rumors that she's heard about me okay let's
take a look it's the easy
a in theaters right now the lovely emma stone well oh my i can by the way
congratulations for your
mom's good news and for your family as well and i have just a small piece of
advice during the tattoo
thing don't sneeze because then you know you're not dealing with bird feet
anymore it's something else
entirely yeah yeah so if you have allergies maybe tomorrow's not the day clariton
day yeah uh easy
a is in theaters now pleasure meeting you emma thank you very much thank you so
much good night everybody
